Thanks to Alphen I found out there will be two ships. Both HAL ships so maybe that will help.

Not sure if there are other ships in port that day….. we don’t need assistance and we are 4*’s but I don’t think that will matter. I’m just not a big fan of packing in with hundreds and I definitely need to work on my patience 😉

So given both of your replies I am guessing it could be very slow. We are sailing on the Zuiderdam and it will be coming in from Amsterdam. Oh well, I am greatful I will have plenty of time to recover from boarding.

I have only boarded here once on a different cruise line, unfortunately it was a real debacle due to a fast approaching hurricane and a total change of itinerary. I am hoping with HAL and no hurricane it will be easier. Any CC members with recent experiences?

Wow, your pictures were amazing! I am enjoying your travel log so much. I have never been to Hong Kong before, the gardens look beautiful but the crowds seem horrifying. The food looks yummy.

Our deposit was paid months ago, so I understand we are not eligible for CFAR insurance. Is it wise to take the cruise lines insurance at this point when making the final payment?

Have sailed NCL and won’t do it again. Agree with your review but thought the food in the main dining area was very poor.

Been on the old Maasdam, which I loved, in the ABC’s with no air conditioning for a few days and it was rough, hope you cool off soon!

Oh good so maybe I would be so very old I wouldn’t need it, however I remember my Dad having to get one when he cruised the Amazon and he was in his 80’s! Admittedly that was a while back.

So like everyone else I am still confused. Is a signature suite the same price as a suite? Also if I have already paid for the HIA with crew appreciation so will I have an increase for my cruise in July above and beyond for the 35 days? It would seem since we have already contracted for this it should be covered.
