  1. Awesome, it is nice to have so much covered in advance, so one can just cruise and relaxl
  2. My PCC told me the HIA includes the tip in the Pinnacle restaurant is this true?
  3. July 2024, so I’m guessing that means I will at least be able to send messages, but maybe not call.
  4. Just so I understand this, if the iPhone is in airplane mode you can make a call simply by using the ships star link and FaceTime calling? This would be cool. Is it clear, or does it come and go? Does Zuiderdam have Starlink?
  5. Oh say it isn’t so….. don’t know how I will manage the anxiety. In the past it was often about 18 days out.
  6. I think the far forward signatures on deck 5 are handicapped cabins so I would expect since we don’t need that it would be saved for others?…
  7. I was beginning to feel reassured, but then I heard the words “flooded cabins”, somehow this does not sound like a good thing on a cruise ship! Actually, it does appear my concerns about noise at least have been alleviated, and even way forward sounds fine to me! Glad of the input of others. TY
  8. Sorry,I meant a signature suite guarantee.
  9. Yes that is what I was told, that it costs more to pick a cabin. I wonder if anyone ever felt they had a bad SS cabin?
  10. I have booked a SS guarantee and am now second guessing if I should have just picked a cabin. To be honest, I cheated out cause the PCC told me there was, “no such thing as a bad SS”. Now I am wondering if I should call back, pay more and book. Oh the second guessing…..
  11. I looked up GeoBlue last night and that looks pretty good to me! I feel comfortable with BC/BS. Thx
  12. I like the idea of an annual policy, may I ask where one gets it or is that not allowed?
  13. Menus from the aforementioned restaurants?
  14. Wow thank you. My Dad just passed and we were his primary caregivers so I get worrying about others. I did a very similar cruise with both my parents in2008 and have always wanted to do this with my husband and now is the time! All of your info will be considered. Ty
  15. Thanks Ruth, I use aPCC, and I hope she will be able to explain both as well as you!
  16. Ruth so glad of your reply. We met many years ago and I always appreciate your very practical view point. Why only 90% back? we have never taken insurance but as we age I think it is more important.
  17. Thank you all for the info. I find insurance for our homes, cars and holidays very confusing and especially once I start to read the paperwork 😳
  18. Just curious if most cruisers book their insurance directly with HAL or independently thru outside agencies or their credit cards? Will be booking soon and trying to figure it all out. Are there benefits to one over the other?
  19. I certainly understand you perspective as i too have cruised solo and it is entirely different. I think the difference is for me I am constantly working with people and enjoy the “down” time when I am cruising. I can be social and join in at meal times and when I want but it is not constantly in my face. I do miss the big libraries, but never thought the shows were great, and yes the food was more varied and creative years ago, and the service was more attentive, but still enjoy the whole experience.
