Special needs at Sea told me I couldn't rent a power chair because it's too hard to learn to use of you're not experienced. The price of a scooter seemed very high. I'm going to check around and see if there are other suppliers.

I don't drink alcohol, but I do drink cherry juice to prevent another gout episode, and I've been worrying about going a week without it. You folks have given me some great ideas!
Get a doctor's note and let them know beforehand and I'll bet it will be ok to bring some on board. The bar may have some small quantities also.

Get a more from your doctor, and let them know before you cruise and I bet they'll be ok with it.
The UBP is only good if you get it as a package with the cabin.Otherwise at $80+ a day it's not worth a hill of beans.
Doesn't even include specialty coffee!

Wearing your S&S card on a lanyard around your neck identifies you as a tourist and may make you more of a mark for thieves. I usually bring my passport and I have a photo of my passport on my phone. I've never needed it (yet). Getting stuck on the a foreign country without your passport could be problematic.

I'm planning a Carribbean Cruise on NCL.. Is anyone aware if the are ports of call where you can rent mobility scooters for a day or half day? I'm going to be in a studio cabin so I won't be able to bring one on board with me? TIA.

Thanks everyone for these positive reviews from folks who have used the studio cabins. I'm looking forward to my cruise.

Your suitcases will slide under the bed, the rollator can be parked at the foot of the bed, the only situation you might have to negotiate is a step up into the shower.
Thank you. I appreciate the info.

I use a rollator walker and am going to travel on the Breakaway in a studio cabin. I'm a big guy and a little concerned if there will be sufficient room for myself, 2 suitcases and a large rollator walker. Thanks for any studio cabin experiences.

Agreed casofilia... I'm not canceling my Feb 2 Breakaway cruise. I went to St Thomas after Hugo to help reopen the hospital and I know first hand what these hurricanes do to the islands. They will need our help and tourist dollars more than ever.
