We too were on the Magic Thanksgiving week. The only thing you missed in Freeport was the FRIGID water at the beach. I got in to about my ankles and decided that was far enough. It actually took your breath away. This was by far the roughest sailing I have ever been on. Thanksgiving night, we were catching plates and glasses before they hit the floor. Several people left dinner sick. Even after all this, I am looking forward to planning our next cruise!

We went out of Galveston for a Thanksgiving cruise and I highly suggest to pick the earliest time available. If you get there early, unless you have a fttf or you are platinum guest, you will be turned away and told to come back at your assigned time. By picking the earliest time, no matter if you are late, you can immediately board. Have FUN!!

Thanks for all the insight on the rough ride we had over Thanksgiving and keep them coming. But, I never said it was worthy of asking for a refund. This was my 5th cruise and I hope to go on many more with Carnival. I just wanted to know more about what could be done to help the situation. Thanks to all!!

Did anyone else think that the Thanksgiving cruise on the Magic was excessively rough? I was told that the Captain doesn't like to use the stabilizers because they use too much fuel. Can anyone help explain this to me?

I've always said that if the costs are even, take the one with one more day. No brainer!! I saw the ports and think you will like them better on the Valor.

What is the cheapest way to get to Paradise Island from the cruise port? Going in Nov. over Thanksgiving and want to gamble a little that day.

We are going in Nov. over Thanksgiving and are doing the all-inclusive beach day thru Carnival. All food and ALL beverages are covered. We hope it will be fun.

Anyone have any advice on the casinos in Freeport Bahamas? Best slot play, cleanliness, easy access from cruise port, and anything else I may need to know. Thanks in advance!!
