  1. My family and I are in Tampa ready to go on our cruise tomorrow on the Star when my husband discovers he left his passport at home (in Mpls). Neighbors are racing to fed ex to overnight it. What are the chances we are good to go tomorrow? If he has to meet us in Cozumel- is that possible? Anything we are missing? We called NCL and they said we are out of luck w/o a passport. He left it on the printer where he was diligently making copies this morning. I'm just sick about it.

  2. That's all for your replies- I feel like such a dummy. I'm an attorney and read documents all the time- I swore when I booked this last summer that it said per person. But I can't for the life of me find documentation of that- booked entirely online. Going to call tomorrow and find out. Thanks for the feedback.

  3. I thought I understood this but am doubtful now after reading some conflicting posts. My husband and I are cruising 1/10/16 on Star and chose the $50 excursion credit; our son is with us and he is free. It was my understanding that we get essentially $50 per person (NOT including my son) credit. Another post said per "stateroom. I booked excursions through NCL and they said I would have to obtain the credit through the excursion desk. (E.g currently it says we ow the full price of the excursions, we will get discounted on the ship. No mention of whether it was $50 pp or per stateroom as I didn't think to ask) Thoughts?

  4. We are on NCL Star next week going to Western Caribbean. We have ship excursions booked to various beaches that have those floating trampolines, etc. My 7 year old is an okay swimmer; I wouldn't trust him in water over his head. Should I haul along a life jacket for him to use, or will there be some available? (FWIW- we are going to Passion Island in Cozumel; Tabyana in Roatan; Uvero Beach Club in Costa Maya) Thanks!

  5. I just called NCL to book this excursion and she said it "didn't specify" because they change beaches periodically. Does your itinerary say you have to be back by 2:30? I'm on the Star on Jan 10 and it says 5. It states on the NCL site that this is a "3 hour" tour leaving at 8:30, so I hope they don't make me leave by noon! I forgot to ask the NCL rep. I did note the shuttle service every 90 minutes, so assumed that allowed an open range of arrival/departure.

  6. We'll be cruising in January on the Star and would like to reserve Vitalino's tour. The Star has been having issues and the itineraries have been changed up frequently. I know Vitalino doesn't charge up front, but if we come to the island on a different day, can we meet him at the port and join that excursion or are we out of luck? We won't have wifi on board. If our itinerary is changed, do you have suggestions for my husband and son (7yo) to do that can be done without reservations? A beach day, for example? Thanks! (We are booking all of our other excursions with the ship because of the frequent itinerary changes; this was the only non-ship excursion we really wanted to do.)
