  1. That sounds delicious! My husband had a smoked old fashioned at a cocktail bar in our hometown and now I believe Celebrity does those too. He really likes them! We had a great bartender at the World Class bar one cruise who would try out different configurations of an Old Fashioned. One had dark chocolate shavings on top. Yummy! I'll have to have him try a cinnamon stick in one sometime. @surfnsun you are the best! Thanks so much for taking the time to find out for my husband. Also, glad to hear you are finding some great bartenders onboard 🙂
  2. Thank you so much for asking! My hubby says he may bring his own supply just in case! 😂
  3. I, too have a few questions if you have time. Did you pack anything in particular for "evening chic" nights? We have only cruised in the Caribbean so I usually bring a cocktail dress for those nights, but with trying to pack lightly I'm thinking of just wearing a sundress or other dress I'm bringing for a port day or day before or after the cruise - we are doing Venice and Florence. My other question is for my hubby. He loves an old fashioned at the world class bar. On our last cruise, the bar had regular maraschino cherries not the Luxardo maraschino cherries. If you happen to drink old fashioneds or frequent the world class bar would you let me know what cherries they use? Thank you so much!
  4. I think we could make the 8:40. My only concern is if there is a delay in letting us off the ship. I looked at the ship's excursions and the earliest is 8:45. There are several from the Concordia dock a little later so I may just make our reservation for the 9:40 ferry.
  5. This is great info, thank you for starting this topic @lisamlip. We want to take the ferry to Amalfi, explore a bit then go to Ravello. It looks like we could take a taxi to Ravello then either come back to Amalfi to catch a return ferry or take a taxi or bus from Ravello to Salerno. We are in port from 8 to 5. @euro cruiser do you have any thoughts on this?
  6. Thank you so much for sharing your journey! We will board as you depart the ship. It's nice to get a sneak peek 😀
  7. Oh WOW! That's a lot of celebrating 🙂 Happy Anniversary!
  8. This is just the information I needed today! We too are flying into Seattle but then need to get to Vancouver for our embarkation. I believe we will do Amtrak also. Does anyone with experience know if I need to buy tickets early or if it's easy to get them day of?
  9. Is this tour one through your ship or a private tour? We've booked it through Celebrity, but don't mind booking on our own especially if it's less expensive 🙂
  10. @JerseyGirlatHeart if you attend one of the Cocktail Lounge nights, will you report back if you have time. TIA
  11. @NorwayladyI’ve finally caught up! Thank you for sharing your vacation with us. I love reading your perspective of how the cruise is going. Looking forward to rest of your trip.
  12. I’ve been reading all of the concerns with celebrity here and on the social media site that shall remain nameless 😉. We have a cruise on the Equinox in a few weeks with two couples who have never sailed Celebrity. Our last cruise was in January on the Beyond in a sky suite. We had no complaints other than the steak was more of a roast. Anyway, it will be interesting to see what our new to X friends say. FYI that cruise and one we have January ‘24 are pretty much sold out except for a suite or two.
  13. Hi @SusieAV8R, I’d love more info on the cooking class - how you booked etc. You can email me at kgwoods at swbelldotnet or post here. Sounds like fun!
  14. @CunucuMom which grocery store did you to to? We love pistolets and are heading to Aruba in February!! TIA
  15. We were laughing about the warm cookie comments also. The only thing I can think of that might have been mentioned in a post cruise review is the warm cookie on the menu in the Rooftop Grill. Everyone raves about it, so maybe they thought it would be similar to offering items from Specialty Restaurants in the MDR?? Just seems silly to charge $2 for a warm cookie...
  16. Looking forward to your Live from the Equinox. Boarding in about a month!
  17. We haven’t cruises since January when we were on the Beyond eating in Luminae. So not the MDR, but we were disappointed in the “steaks” we ordered. Seemed more like a roast. We sail on Equinox in a month and will be eating in the MDR with two couples new to X. I’m hoping we are all pleased with food quality but may avoid ordering any steaks.
  18. Thank you for your live review! Also, thanks for including what you did at the ports. Happy belated birthday!
  19. @scotlady Premium coffees are under both. It’s listed under classic at the bottom.
  20. Yes, premium coffees are included if that's what you are asking. I've attached a pdf from the X website always-included-beverage-package-flyer.pdf
  21. I was looking only at the Ensemble menu on the app. Looking at the Oceanview Bar outside the buffet, there is a Bloody Mary at $10, a Greyhound at $9 and a Screwdriver at $11. Quickly glancing through other bar's menus there are a few under $10 and I'm guessing if you ask the bartender to make one included on the Classic package they will figure something out.
  22. Does anyone know if I bought a premium water while on the Classic package if I still just pay the difference? Also, just looked at a menu for the Ensemble Lounge on Equinox and there weren't any cocktails at $10. All were $11 or more. I can't believe Celebrity isn't raising their Classic Bev max. price. Again, not a big deal to pay $1 or 2 more but a pain to sign the receipt.
