  1. We did this photo session on the Dream also in August.

They quoted us the same prices. I wanted the whole book so bad!!

But they did allow us to buy individual photos.

    I bought 4-8 x 10s and it was $120.

My daughter had senior pictures this year and the price of this Dream sessions book is right in line with what I've spent on her pictures.

  3. We used cash on the Dream just a few weeks ago.

We had a small on board credit already on our sign and sail account so we didn't add cash right away.

We just went to the kiosk on day 2 and added some cash.

We spent all of that and were allowed to go over about $50 before they left a note in our room saying to add more.

It was a very easy way to keep up with what we spent. We never had to actually go to customer service....just used the kiosk machines.

  4. It wasn't too crowded.

There were lots of people but I never felt like it was over crowded.

    There were still empty chairs

Plenty of room to float around or snorkel in the ocean

We only waited behind 2 people to take the chair lift back to the ship

  5. We just returned from Mahogany Bay.

They do hold your S&S card.

You don't get it back until you return your equipment, thus losing your chair.

We had a clam shell chair on the third row but honestly...never used it. We stayed in the water the whole time.

They do have a place to eat there if you want to keep your chair.

  6. We just got back from our cruise out of NO.

Wyndham was wonderful. Staff was super friendly and helpful. Hotel was clean and close enough to walk to bourbon street and other attractions.

We paid $9.60 for our Uber.

They picked us up in 4 minutes after I called them. The driver and the hotel staff helped us with our luggage.

    That's total for 2 people.

It was well worth it knowing our car was safe.

When we got back today we grabbed a taxi from the port back to Wyndham because they were already there waiting. It cost us $19.60 plus tip.

  7. Same cruise and with the propulsion issues, I wonder what will happen. The Dream has reportedly not been able to get up to full speed or it probably wouldn't be an issue, just going around, key West is tuesday, then we'd for the bahamas, a week after its expected to hit. But with choppy waters and and slow boat... no clue.

    Interesting.

So in other words...we won't be able to outrun it. [emoji23][emoji23] (that was a joke before someone corrects me)

  8. They would have no way to know where they will reroute until the path of the storm can be determined. The ship has very sophisticated radar systems and with the assistance from NOAA. The Captains are very capable and will do everything in their power to keep his guests safe.

Never doubted that. But thanks for the reply.

  9. Most likely they will skip Key West and try to get into Bahamas before/after the storm. (Presuming it's not a major hurricane). They have to do a foreign port so they can't just do KW.

The other option is Cozumel. There are quite a few 4-day Cozumel cruises already. This presumes it doesn't go into the Gulf and turns north like most storms.

Interesting to watch and see what happens.

    Thanks for the reply.

  10. I'm a little nervous. I just found out the Valor is going to get the American Table menus for our sailing in a month. I'm allergic to seafood. Looking at the menus on Zydeco's site, it looks like it's heavy on seafood. One day out of seven appetizers, five had seafood. I hope I'm not stuck with grilled chicken every day. :(

I do not eat seafood and had the american table menu last year on the freedom.

I was able to find something every night that I liked. I only ordered the grilled chicken once.

I'm am a pretty picky eater but I really enjoyed dinner every night.

  11. My husband carries a back pack on excursions. It holds our towels, lotions...that kind of stuff.

If we are shopping, I carry a cross body purse with money and cards. Otherwise...he puts cash in the backpack or a shorts pocket.

I have a waterproof bag for my phone, which I use as a camera so I want to keep it with me.

We try to pack as light as possible for excursions because I hate to carry stuff around all day or try and keep up with it.

Some beaches and excursions will have lockers that you can rent to keep stuff in. That is always handy!

  12. Hate that this happened to you but glad to see that CCL is following the rules of having to show a photo ID.

    I agree.

I feel safer knowing they enforce this rule.

  13. We are staying at Wyndham in the French quarter.

I booked the stay and cruise package but they do not offer shuttle service.

Uber is only $8 so we are planning on using that.

What I did like was the location. We can walk to restaurants on the night before and the morning of our cruise.

    Good luck in your search.

  14. Seriously? Does everything have to be so political and PC. It's a party wear you get discounted drinks for wearing white and yes Carnival has it first or second night in the night club.

    I thought the same thing.

Figured that poster was just trying to stir up something. Ridiculous!!

I appreciate very much the info about the white party.
