  1. Hi @VernRDH. If you used a TA ( like I did ) you might have one booking number for them and a different one for MSC. I tried the “ Expedia confirmation number” first but when it didn’t work I looked further and discovered a separate MSC booking number. Just a thought. Maybe your TA uses a different number for their internal records.
  2. Hi @Heartgrove, and thanks for the reply. Hope you’re enjoying your cruise. I was thinking of a train around 10 also but wasn’t sure if we’d be pushing it to get off and to the station by then. We stopped in Genoa for the day on a Princess cruise last year and just walked to the train station which was pretty close to our pier, but am more concerned this time because this would be the end of our 18 days and we’d be collecting suitcases and doing the debarkation !! The earlier trains are faster with a shorter stop in Milan and we’d like to get to Venice as early as possible. Planning to stay 4 days in Venice, and then take a day trip to Verona before heading home. My by then 12 yo daughter wants to see “ the balcony “ 😃😃.
  3. Hi @Heartgrove. Just saw your comment about disembarking in Genoa and traveling by train to Venice. We are doing that same thing next spring…our Seaview T/A from Rio stops in Genoa and we too are taking the train to Venice. I am wondering how quick was the disembarkation process and how early were you able to get the train ??
  4. @JamieLogicalIs that any specialty dining package, or only certain ones?? Is it the same for all ships and itineraries ??
  5. @AtéHi. Good afternoon. Just a question about rates that you referred to. When we booked our ocean view room for our transatlantic cruise in March 2024, the deluxe balcony cabin was , for example, $2806 for the three of us versus what we paid. Now those balcony cabins are much more expensive, and the ocean view rooms show “ sold out “. Are you saying that if we now wanted a balcony , it would be offered for the price it was where we made the original booking ?
  6. @MsTabbyKatsAgree with you, and have a T/A booked for March 2024. Hate wearing masks and when it comes time to make final payment in December will have to look at the tea leaves!! I think I would almost rather cancel than have to deal with mandates again, and being “scolded” or “instructed” like before. On the other hand, like everyone else we lost two years of travel opportunity, and time is ticking. Don’t have as much time to re-capture those opportunities as when I was younger.
  7. How do you change your selection on the “web check in page” if you can’t check in until 30 days before sailing ?? I would like to be sure that I get upgrade offers and don’t recall checking any box indicating yes or no to a question regarding that. Final payment isn’t until December, but many people say they get offers in advance of final payment.
  8. I booked my cruise first , for two adults and a 12 year old . Then we all joined Voyagers Club. I did a status match after that and was given a silver level. Since we were more than 9 months away from the cruise , our TA called and our total cruise fare was reduced by 5%+5%. On the phone for maybe 20 minutes, but no problems encountered. Got the new invoice shortly after showing the new reduced price.
  9. Hi all. We booked in April for a March 2024 cruise. After booking and paying deposit joined Voyagers club. Learned about status match and applied using Gold status from another cruise line, and within a day was matched to MSC silver. Was a little disappointed with silver because I could have also tried Hilton gold status and maybe got MSC gold as well, but…oh well!! Called TA and she called MSC. Got the 5%+5% applied right away without any trouble 😃.
  10. To Jerseyralph. That’s terrible. I feel sooo bad that you had to suffer that indignity. Surely a reason to not cruise with them again !! ( MUCH sarcasm intended 😃 )
  11. Glad to hear that someone else read what I did!! Hopefully it won’t change again before next spring 😃. I’ll be interested to read how you enjoyed the trip over to Rio, since we are booked on the same trip in the opposite direction!
  12. We have a cruise booked for March 28,2024 on MSC Seaview from Rio de Janeiro to Genoa. At the time of booking we saw on the website that for transatlantic cruises, Covid vaccination was required for anyone 12 and over. now however, the website has changed, even when you select the MSC Grand Voyages section, and it now says that everyone is welcome aboard MSC ships without regard to vaccination status and without requiring testing. That’s important for us because my daughter turns 12 on March 1, and is not …nor will she be…vaccinated. We both are vaccinated. Final payment isn’t until early December, so we will just have to watch I guess. Thought I’d mention it in case anyone else is in the same situation.
