  1. i found all those CC changes very bad and confussing. I lost the genuine chats with my fellow passengers. Seems to be all addvertisements and paid.

Also I did bookings with viator appart from cruise lines but the guides told me that viator retain like 25% so if you book outside all those platforms you can get a better price and the guide happier and more enthusiastic.

You can check, if you still find them, the original reviews at TripAdvisor below the market place.

i travelled since I retired (2004) and all this internet changed completely. At the beguining it was so simple , no money in the middle, just you and the guide at port. Now all the companies joined and monopolize the business and we pay. So I feel lost.

  2. Suggestions:

Iguazu. Is great location in the middle of the Park. Be careful with monkeys!

Can you be there alone? Well , there is no many english guides and I got a wonderful one.

We did tours with local guides in Buenos Aires and Iguassu.

We love to look for quality more than prices so we checked all information , we did a great search:

We did a small group tour VIP with a LICENCES guides ( be careful with who is your guide!!!!)

  3. I ´ve just come back from my second trip to South America, in this case with family with daughters and more people.

We did a lovely city tour with jewish heritage with a famous guide who has the access to visit jewish buildings.

We did it right this time as she needs the list of passengers and their info to pass security and that take time.

Contact her. If she is not avaialble she works with 2 jewish guides.

I found her in Trip Advisor few years ago. Was excellent!

  4. I did both.

Beagle Channel excursion is lovely when you do it with a small ship that get very closed to the penguins. Is windy.

If you are tired from navigations may be you won´t like it but is again a navigation ending at a penguin islands. I was so sad I didn´t stop at those islands but some friends told me that there are excursions (check tour agencies )that can stop and give you time to enjoy with penguins.

National Park. I like the history of that place and the old train. Is a nice trip. Full of history and a nice sightseeing.

    Are different. Depend on you.

I booked all in advance but you can also book them there once you arrive if you plan well your time.

TANGO BOAT is a small company that is very nice to do this more private tours. (liz2arg@yahoo.com)

  5. I never paid total amount before tour. I like independent guides. They work so hard to capture their clients and I feel I help them to work.

I paid by paypal and also by Western Union. Depend on the country. In Argentina for example, they don´t have a paypal office so , for the small business is difficult to receive payments from abroad.

I agree that in case there is a delay and we cancell 24 hours in advance there is 50% of cost wich is ok for me as I don´t pay total amount and I pay for their cancellation day.
