kakao beach club on orient beach, very good food and ice cold drinks delivered right to your beach chair. :) shared cab is 7.00 p/p ea way, 2 chairs with umbrella 20.00. There is a french village behind the club for shopping and french pastry.

The Holland House Beach Resort take the water taxi over $20.00 for two people a bucket of 5 drinks 2 chairs and umbrella and not as crowded as the other beaches check out their web site and beach cam.

Then just walk into hotel or something and say you'd like to stay on the beach??

This is the central call center for all RCI ships 1-888-724-7447. Make sure that you leave the name of your ship and your cabin number and that the person making the call has a credit card handy. Charge is $7.95 a minute I believe, and the clock starts ticking as soon as they are connected to the ship.

how do people call that number from the uk???

The next sailing will be cut short by a day.

so the sailing which is now leaving on Monday 25th will be a day short yes? Meaning my sailing on 3rd feb (should) still remain the same??

This has me really worried now

If that sailing is delayed a day is that going to knock over to my sailing or will that sailing be cut short a day?

cheers I managed to get a high res picture of the side of independence and work out what balcony it is. definitely unobstructed so well happy with that for a guaranteed balcony room

You can also switch to another room in that same category, if the location doesn't work for you.

Last night I booked a guaranteed balcony on independance's transatlantic cruise in may 2016

When I go into my cruise planner next to state room it says: Deck 06, Superior Ocean View Stateroom #6394

Does this mean its been allocated already? I thought it gets allocated close to the cruise?

Do new ships tends to have "teething problems" is it better to wait until new ships have been around for a while?

Not true, Unless you pick a port intensive cruise.... You will see.... Sure hope you don't plan on having more than 3 cocktails per day and even 3 cheap low end beers, Because that = drink package...

3 beers does not equal drinks package tho

£37 a day for drinks package

More information for those interested. I cruised on the Grandeur from 8/14-8/21. Drinks were actually cheaper than I had thought they would be. My goto drink, Sapphire and Tonic was 8.00. Kahlua Sombrero, 7.00. Beers were 5.50 and 6.00. Frozen drinks were 10.00. There were some specialty drinks which were 12.00. Hope this helps people in their planning!

Excellent sailing on grandeur in feb and was about to ask drinks prices

Never cruised before but personally don't see the point in a drinks package as for half the cruise your off the boat anyway?!
