our first cruise is Western carribean in 2 weeks time! As we have never been to any of the planned ports we feel we may be happy just exploring them rather than needing to book multiple excursions.

Grand Cayman- we are going to do an excursion!

So this leaves Cozumel! Is it a beach, or a little town?

We aren't sure what it will be like!! We have heard there may be Mayan ruins here? Is that true?

We are going to cancun after the cruise and wondered if anyone knows if it's better to see Mayan ruins there rather than Cozumel?

It's our first cruise so this may sound stupid- we recieved luggage tags via email and printed them off. What exactly do we do with them?!

Should we buy little tag holders for our bags and slot them in?

Hello everyone, I'd appreciate some advice!

Perhaps rather naively as 1st time cruisers we have booked a flight from orlando to cancun for 12.39pm on the day our freedom of the seas cruise arrives back into port canaveral.

How does disembarking work? How long does it take?

If it is by assigned time is it likely we could request to get off in the early groups?

We had hoped to book a shuttle for 8am from the dock.

We are now worried we have overestimated how quickly we may get off the ship!

Advice from the regulars would be really helpful!
