I have docked at both. I prefer Havensight. Just my opinion.

We just sailed on the Radiance to Alaska the end of June. We had MTD. There was just a few folks in line ahead of us. The line moved fast. We near waited no more the 2 minutes. There were 5 of us and we chose to eat around 6 p.m. We had the same table and same waitstaff every evening.
Enjoy your cruise.

No clothesline on S class ships.
Carolyn
Thanks

Is there a clothes line on the S class?

We had a excursion with Bernard several yrs ago. Loved it. Bernard told my DH that he made his own rum punch. My DH is still talking about that punch. Maybe we will have to book another tour just so DH can have some of that punch again.

Thanks for letting us tag along on your cruise. We did the same cruise on the Radiance in June (6/24-71). Had a great time but no we would not go again. We booked all our own land tours. Rented a car which we picked up in Fairbanks Airport and drove to Denali and then onto Anchorage.
I was a little disappointed with the menus in the MDR on several evenings. This was never a issue on any of our other cruises.
Looking forward to tagging along on your next cruise.

Bon Voyage!
We did this cruise the end of June on the Radiance.

Juan Diego just checked on board. Can you find out and post if he is in the Concierge lounge or Diamond lounge??
He is not in the Concierge Lounge. The concierge is a female. Can't remember her name. I believe she just checked in on June 24th when we boarded. Don't know who is in the Diamond Lounge. We poked our heads in just to see what it was like.

We are a fmaily of 4 and booked in Adventure Class. Should we consider upgrading to Goldstar? Is the view really that much better and worth the additional cost for all 4 of us?
If we do not upgrade to Goldstar, does anyone have pointers/recommendations for the trip? Not sure if there are assigned seats, but if there are not where should we try to sit?
Thank you!
Lynn
We just returned from Alaska on July 1st. We did the train and had the Adventure class. Yes seats were assigned. Loved the trip. On the adventure class the is a dome area that you can go to. They advise you not to stay too long in that areas so other folks get a chance to use it too. Of course there are folks who don't abide by that advice and thick it is just for them. Happened on our trip.
Enjoy the trip.

Thanks for the wonderful review. Made me more excited for our on June 24, 2016 cruise. We are doing a land tour before the cruise. Booked everything on the land tour ourself. Will be traveling with DD, SIL and 13 yr old GS.

Ours are usually posted by 7 days. If you don't see them soon, I would call C&A.

Anyone have the cutoff times for Luggage Valet? What is the earliest a departure can be out of FLL and MIA to use the service coming off Allure?
Out of FLL it is 11:30 a.m. I think out of MIA it is around 2p.m.-2:30 p.m. I am sure if I am wrong someone will correct me.

We did a B2B on both the Allure and the Oasis. One week would not be enough to see and do everything.
Enjoy your cruise.

We are new to Princess, so we are trying to figure everything out. What is the difference between Horizon Court and Horizon Buffet?

Left Freedom on 3/20, and our points posted in six days.
On our last cruise it took 7 days for our points to post.

Thanks to both of you for your help. I feel a lot better. I printed out the info and will show our DD. There are 5 of us traveling together (daughter, son in law, grandson, husband and myself). I am use to flying but not on international flights.

I am really confused. I hope someone can help get me unconfused. We are boarding Air Canada in Vancouver with a connecting flight in Toronto to Phila. Do I have to go through U.S. Custom and Boarder Protection in Vancouver and Toronto? The more I read the more confused I get.

If I remember right, I think I booked all of my hotels, air (we used frequent flier miles), car rental, excursions, a year out and I got everything I wanted. I ordered my coupon books as soon as I could, so I'd get them before I started booking things. If you have a frequent guess number with a car rental agency, be sure to use it and also book from an off-site (meaning not at the airport) rental place if possible - they are much cheaper (at least they were in Anchorage).
We are flying into Fairbanks in June. We have a car rented at the airport through Hertz. We get into Fairbanks around 4:30 p.m. and driving to Denali that night. We booked the Denali Lodge for 2 nites. When we leave Denali we will be driving to Anchorage and turning the car in there. We are booked at the Hotel Captain Cook for 1 night. The Hertz rental place is right across the street. The following morning we are getting the train to Seward and boarding the ship. I started making our reservations last Aug.

I switched my DD, SIL and GS to Adventure Class. We decided to take a few thing on the train with us. I called and the told me fruit, breakfast sandwiches, coffee. The girl I spoke to didn't know anything else. We will also take bottles of water.
Thanks for your help. Your always are so knowledgeable and helpful.

there is a menu online
https://www.alaskarailroad.com/travel-planning/onboard-experience/dining
You should also be carrying some of your own food, with your "must" issue.
I saw that sample menu, but we are on the adventure and all it says is lighter fare or grab and go.

We were booked on the Ak railroad in the Dome train. There were 5 of us. I noticed yesterday that the date was wrong. We booked for 6/24/16. The person who took our reservation but 6/23/16. Today I got a call that they could only take 4 of us in the Dome. My husband and I had to be moved to the Adventure class. I am not happy about this. We are traveling with our daughter, son in law and grandson. Now for my question. What type of food can we purchase? We will be leaving Anchorage at 6:45am. and going to Seward. Arriving there at 11:05 A.M. My husband has morning meds he must take with food.
Thanks for your help.

Yes, Steve Davis will be on your cruise since I am a friend of his Mother and she is actually going to be on the same cruise with his father and other family members.
Have any idea how long he will be remaining on the Radiance?
-
Dose anyone know who will replace Steve on the Radiance for the Alaska season?

Thanks for tip. I went in our flight reservations and saw there was a time change for our flight. It will be leaving 15 minutes later. No big deal.

We always put our Cruise Critic sign on our door. It makes it easy to spot our door.
