I would also love to hear from anyone on the current cruising. My daughter and I were to be on board.  Sadly I tested positive on the pre cruise test. I just had a stuffy nose but from what I had heard from others recently I had a feeling it would be positive.  My dd was negative until today and even now we both have only mild symptoms.

We would have been in Sky Suite 2150. If some one can take a picture from the aft deck for me it would be appreciated.  We are hoping to be able to rebook for March.

I was in Cabin 2150 in August for 12 days.  I love aft cabins.  I would call myself an aft cabin snob, but after staying in that cabin for 12 days I wouldn't stay in an aft cabin on that deck.  Every day between 3:30AM and 3:45 AM scrapping of the chairs would begin.  I finally had to go to the retreat and complain to Jonathan.  They were aware of the noise.  Luckily for the cruise I am going on Sunday when I booked, they didn't have aft cabins ion deck 12.  I like deck 12 I am on the side .

They told us that when a crew member tests positive they get sent home.  So that is why we have some different people.  We were here on the 15th of August for Ultimate Southern cruise.  We have tried to keep the same staff for the most part.  Our server Jesus has a different asst, Bianca the hostess in Luminae is no longer here as well as her husband who was the retreat bartender.  Also the sommelier is not the same and not as good imho.  I have not made it to the pool deck yet as the weather has not been great.  But I will try to check on Jerome.

We were on the August15th cruise as well.  Our paths must have crossed at 1 time in Luminae.  Jesus was a good waiter.  We had Maria as we sat in the back room.  Is the women maitr'd still there? I like the husband-and-wife team. If you go to the martini bar, please tell Janu and the boys we will see them Sunday. Thank you for the information.  Enjoy your cruise. You know where we spend our time at the bars.

I am currently on the Equinox in a Celebrity suite.  We are sailing with just a little of 700 people.  Masks are mandated inside.   We were on her in August and most of our favorite staff are still on board but Jonathan is no longer in the Retreat as he caught COVID on the last sailing.

Is Jerome still at the pool Bar?  I know Janu is at the martini bar.  After Jonathon recovers from the covid is he going home or back to the Equinox? I know he is due to go home shortly.  Thank  you

Yes, my husband and I are scheduled for the 12 night on Sunday 1/9 also. We are pretty set as we haven't had a vacation in 3 years and cruising actually seems the safest option. The only thing that worries me is getting quarantined because of being a "close contact" even if negative and asymptomatic. I wasn't clear if "close contacts" quarantined in their own cabins or had to go to the "leper colony" quarantine on deck 6. In room would not be as bad, Deck 6 would stink.

When we were on the Equinox in August unless the policy, has changed if you were a close contact and tested negative you stayed in your cabin. I think after 24 hours you were tested again if negative you could leave your cabin but had to be masked.  My friend was on the Summit in October, and she was a close contact to someone she remained in her cabin.

I disembarked on Aug. 21st and was called by Celebrity on Aug. 24th they told me someone I was close into close contact with tested positive.  They told me it was Thursday evening (my last night of the cruise) at the martini bar.  I already had a covid test scheduled for the 25th and it was negative. Even my roommate wasn't contacted.

We are on a B2B on the Apex out of FLL on January 22nd.  Right now we are flying JetBlue from Boston on the 21st.  We did not go through Celebrity because we had points we wanted to use.  Rethinking to book a flight out on the 20th and go through Celebrity.  Am I overthinking/planning/worrying?

Keep checking your flights with Jet Blue from Boston.  We were scheduled to fly January 8th on Jet Blue direct flight 6:55 AM.  Jet Blue cancelled that flight we are now flying Jet Blue from Boston to JFK, JFK to Fort Lauderdale. I was on the phone twice with Jet Blue the 1st time the hold time was 65 minutes and the 2nd time I was on hold 90 minutes got the issues straighten out. Luckily Jet Blue took care of the issues.

Called and as a solo, not eligible for Simply Sail.  I'll be booking as a double.

I think you can do the person as a no show.  A few years ago, Frank was sick, and the doctor advised him not to go on the cruise.   I went he was a no-show Royal got their money and I put a claim into the insurance company.  They insurance company paid the claim.

Do you mean Sunset Verandah when you say aft? Those are my favorite cabins; I have one booked on deck 8 for February, 2023. The cabins are the comparable; balconies are larger... specifically the ones in the center of the row. I also love the long walk to the back of the ship... I can have an extra scoop of gelato guilt free. 😃

2150 was not a sunset veranda this was a sky suite. They also have I believe C1 on Deck 12 in the aft. You have cabins above you they should be quiet.

2105 is centrally located and has one of the oversized balconies.  I’m not sure what you mean about aft cabins, but if you are talking about the ones on the same deck, they are under the outside bar area and may have noise from above.

I was in an aft cabin 2150 in August on the Equinox. At 3:45 AM someone started to scrape the chairs across the floor every morning. It continued until about 7:30 AM until I left the cabin.  I am on a cruise in January, and we are on deck 12, but in cabin 2121.  You are in prime cabin. I have stayed in cabin 2107 many times.  I love these cabins.

Hi Phyllis.  All except Constellation were available onboard yesterday.  I added my booking into the app manually and it's still there.  Could be that they were withdrawn temporarily because X screwed up at least some of the pricing.  I booked a plain old veranda but then went back to my cabin and rechecked prices.  Turns out a C1 was $110 cheaper so I upgraded cabin & location and got the lower price.  Obviously one of those two prices was wrong.  I probably won't be booking suites anymore so will likely stay with M-class or S-class.  I like the Sky Lounges which E-class doesn't have (unless you're in a suite).

    Hi Ruth,

The fall 2023 transatlantic can be seen.  I can now get into my reservation.  I called Celebrity this morning and had them move my reservation  into our group. I have been on the Edge and like the retreat pool area.  We have the Apex booked for back to back in April and the 2022 fall transatlantic. This will tell us if we like the Edge class ship. Frank doesn' t like to travel anymore so 6 years ago I met a woman who was widow and we it it off so now we travel together.  We have the same taste except she don't drink and I do. I hope sometime we can travel on the same ship at the same time..

Imho, you are absolutely correct, someone at X made a big mistake.

It will be interesting to see how they handle this. I did not book but when I took a look at the inventory it was obvious that many already had and were able to lock in the lowest prices and the best cabins. This was definitely not a level playing field.

I was on hold yesterday for 2 hrs 15 min. waiting for Celebrity it was mine own fault because I called mid afternoon.  While I was on hold 2 Iconic suites, penthouse and a royal suites were booked. I have reservation#s and deposits paid so I will keep a close eye on this.   I just don't want to lose my cabin.

Yesterday you could book the Apex and Beyond Fall 2023 Transatlantic which I did. I booked the beyond and paid the deposit.  Today they aren't showing up.  I can't get into my reservation. I think somebody slipped and released these 2 transatlantic by accident.

Thank you so much Jim! Would love to know about private dining room options. We are Peloton fanatics, so would be interested to know if we can really get a bike in the Penthouse suite. Would make things a lot easier and force us to keep our exercise routine while onboard.

Yes you can get a peloton in your suite.  We were on the Aug.15th sailing and a friend of ours was in the royal suite and she asked to have a peloton in her  suite and they said yes it was delivered the next day.

suite and they said yes it was delivered the next day.

Curious.  This may also get into a compliance issue with the tracelet.  I wonder if her roommate always had the tracelet with him/her.  I was on the Equinox last week and often carried the tracelet in my pocket and no one ever asked me if I had the tracelet with me.

Her roommate  always had the tracelet with her. The group of passengers that she talked with at the Martini bar didn't receive a call either.

For those who have recently sailed Equinox in a lowly Sky Suite, did you receive a shoreside concierge call prior to boarding, please?  We got an email about some preferences about a week ago, 4 weeks prior to boarding.

I was in a sky suite on the Equinox for 12 days last week  and I didn't get a call from the shoreside concierge just an e-mail about my preferences.  I don't consider a sky suit lowly.

I want to gush a little bit about this cruise.  I was on the Aug 1st cruise and there were a few hiccups (it was just the 2nd cruise) but it was wonderful.  This cruise, the crew has meshed and is absolutely amazing!  I think they lie in wait for you, like my cat. This morning, I walked off the elevator and before I was settled in my chair in Cafe al Bacio, the cappuccino was placed in front of me.  At noon, I asked for chicken fajitas and the young man started to pick up some tortillas.  I said no thank you and I'd just use the corn tortilla chips since I'm gluten free.  I walked around adding this and that to my plate and then went to my table.  Before I could pick up a fork, a plate of warm corn tortillas (the ones they use to make the chips) was delivered to my table and I was able to enjoy soft tacos!  Every evening, they deliver some sort of GF dessert to me that isn't on the menu.  So many crewmembers call me by name but I don't think I've actually met all of them before.  I'm not in a suite.  This is a balcony cabin, Oceanview, and MDR.  My next three cruises are suites and I'll be interested to see how much better the service might be than what I've experienced on this cruise.

I said earlier that if you can swing it somehow, cruise NOW!!  This is the most consistent, intuitive service I've ever received.  With express elevators!!  Food has been excellent, too. 🤓

I was getting off the ship when you got on the ship. I seem to be missing you on the ships. The cruise was wonderful!!  We spent 12 days on board. The crew was outstanding.  We stayed in a sky suite and the service was perfect.  Enjoy your cruise.
