There are not any smoking areas in YC. There is still a smoking area in the casino, in the forward area of the casino on the port side. The smoke from the casino wafts up the staircase and is sometimes noticeable in La Luna Bar, which is directly above the casino. Also, the port side of the aft adults pool is a smoking section. When you walk back to Le Muse on the port side on deck 15, you may encounter smokers there. I think the starboard side of the main pool also has smoking as well. When we walk outside, we always walk on the port side of deck 15 since the door to enter Le Muse is closest there. You could walk an inside deck to Le Muse to avoid all the smokers as well.

There is a Cigar Bar on 6 that is completely closed off, though a bit seems to seep out if you are near it. I believe it is next to the Effy jewelry store. If you get bothered by the smoke, perhaps you can soothe yourself with a nice souvenir. 😉

The starboard side by the showers and rest room is all a smoking area in the Divina YC. I was just on her in March.

We loved their risotto and always ordered that as a third main dish to share. Don't be shy about asking for lobster or scallops to accompany your filet or maybe Oscar style. You're in YC. 🙂

I always do the same, with the risotto. Always delicious 😊

Have you received those spontaneous cruise offers via email? Mail? I have never received anything from MSC with the exception of emails directly related to a booking I’ve made. (I appear to be signed up for emails.) Friends get emails about deals. I do not. FWIW, I received a free cruise certificate on my last sailing. Here’s  the chart that was in the casino on Meraviglia earlier this month.

They seem to send out email offers every quarter. I just received one last week.

Definitely curious if you can get them to stock beer other than Heineken. Happens that Heineken just isn't a beer that I like. Real plus if they will stock Pepsi products.

@fredmdcruisers since they are in YC - all included - no price (or price already paid)

Just let your butler know what kind of beer you prefer. If they have it on board, they'll keep you well stocked 😊

I might be missing something, but I don't see why you would pay $400 for that cabana.  Seems like you get the same service under the umbrellas.

It was a one and done for me. Not worth it, in my opinion. The cabanas on the rest of the island are half the price and the beaches are way nicer

I’m traveling YC for the first time next week. Watching YouTube videos it looks like they designated the worst part of the island to YC and just “labeled it” premium! It appears to be the worst beach!  I like your plan.  We will have our DD and friend in an Aurea suite so think g we’ll just find a nice beach spot with them outside the “enclave” and go to Ocean House for lunch…

appreciate the advice!!  Cabanas outside YC we’re sold out when I booked…

Keep checking the website to see if any cabanas open up (people may cancel). Also see if the Yacht Club concierge can work his/her magic once you're on board. Have a wonderful time 😊

Oops. I didn’t read for comprehension and see that you were upgraded without asking. What a pleasant surprise that must have been - twice. 🙂 Did it happen after check-in? How were you notified of the change? Thanks.

We were brought to our cabins by the butler, but were told not to unpack. He left for a few minutes, came back and moved us. It was quite the pleasant surprise 😊

Thanks so much! Happy New Year! 🎊🎉😊

Just got a reply back from the Casino dept. Cost to upgrade is dependent on the sailing. My offer was a free balcony. They want $3000 to upgrade to a Yacht Club interior on Seascape, 7 nights, April 16, 2023. Outright, the same sailing would cost me $3500. 🤨

Does anyone know if there is a standard upgrade to Yacht Club for MSC casino offers? For example, Inside to YC = $XXXX, Oceanview to Yacht Club = $XXXX, etc.

I know on NCL, Celebrity and Royal upgrades to suites are based on the price of the particular cruise, but I'd heard MSC had a standard upgrade fee based on original comp offer?  Is this true?

    Thanks in advance!

I'm actually about to email them this exact question. I'll let you know what I find out 😊

  10. I'm also very prone to motion sickness. The patch works great for me. The only side effect I get is some dry mouth. I'm also one of the lucky one's who suffers from land sickness after the cruise. I keep a patch on for 2 weeks after to combat that. The things we do to be able to cruise 😂

I will be cruising with family on the seaside in August, Any one know if they leave a scent on the clothing after its laundered, My mother is allergic, and cant smell any type of Scent on her clothing? Thanks

All of the laundry I had done on the ship came back with absolutely no scent. Be aware that they seem to wash the clothes in blazing hot water, so shrinkage is an issue.

We are going on the Seashore in April. Planning to purchase the Covid test kits doing the proctored EMED test. Wondering what everyone else has been doing?

Just to see if there are better or more price efficient options.

By the way, where I live, the local pharmacies do not offer rapid antigen test, so that is not an option for me.

    Thanks,

I've used the Emed tests for my last 3 cruises. No problems at all. I order the 6 pack, which works out to approx $30 per test (with shipping).

We are planning to cruise next year in the Yatch Club interior cabin 16010 or 16008 and It seems to be located below the kitchen.

How is the noise level coming from above ?

    Thank all for you input

Myself, son and his girlfriend will be in both of those cabins next Sunday. I can let you know when we get back.
