Sumter county, I assume The Villages. Check Walgreens on Kristine Way. You can book seven days out and they do the rapid covid test. Just completed mine yesterday and received results in 45 minutes for free.
I work in the Villages but live in the South end (Bushnell). I already have the Emed tests. Way less aggravation. Have a great cruise!

Walgreens appointments open three days before your desired test date here in Florida.
And be careful, many of the Walgreens are cutting back on the days they will test and the hours (our local county Walgreens no longer test o the weekend).
Rapid tests are getting pretty scarce around here (Sumter County). Not taking any chances and ordered more Emed tests. I sail on the 27th.

I am guessing you are leaving from Florida. Here is a link to all of the testing sites that Florida has to offer. We had several as a back up in case we missed our appt. that we had. Most of the sites in FL are walk in.

Alot of them are closing down. If you go this route, make sure you have a good backup plan.

I am somewhat in the same boat leaving in three weeks. We are driving from western New York to Miami with a limited time frame and concerned about not getting the results in time (turnaround is 1-2 days but not guaranteed).
You can purchase Abbotts Binax home monitor test at eMed.com. Six tests are $150. You have your results in 15 minutes and it’s proctored. We recently did this for a trip to Hawaii but tests were provided by my husband’s employer. I’m leaning towards doing this for the cruise … I think the cost is worth avoiding my increased anxiety. 🤣I just ordered a new 6 pack of these. I received them in 3 days. I've been using them for my past cruises. They're easy and results are quick.

Interesting. They are charging 10% extra for solo on my October cruise and 0% extra in January.
They have great solo prices. It's a gotcha when the upgrade bidding comes around.

As a solo cruiser, would I pay just for one or would I pay double? Ex - If I bid $ 500 for an upgrade, would they bill me $ 500 or $ 1,000? MSC has great solo rates, but I’m not sure how it would work bidding for an upgrade offer.
Solo pays double the upgrade bid

You will get very tired of her tag line, "Ciao, ciao....For now." We had two weeks of it!
Was tired of it after the first day 😁

I want to say, and I'd have to check, we had Monica last Fall. While I'm not someone who cares much about CDs, Gene, who we had on two trips, had a lot of energy and was everywhere making things upbeat.
Last Fall the CD only did monotone announcements, mostly about registering credit card to pay for onboard spend. Never saw her once.
I believe it's the same Monica that was on the Divina when we sailed this past October.

Just got off Seashore yesterday. Manoj was our butler!! He was OUTSTANDING.
He was also my Butler back in February. Definitely outstanding 😊

I would suggest using a travel agent that is familiar with MSC and their "quirks".

When we sailed, I reported numbers. Think YC was only 60% full then last four days the upsells took place. YC filled up but still was not anywhere near full.
The issue is you have two rooms. Are you looking to go from two to one YC or two YC? Normally for upsell, the solo pays double for upgrade. At the end of the day, doubtful the non MSC staff at pier going to make that happen.
I'd be looking for 2 rooms. I'll check at the desk once we board and if it works out, great. If not, I can survive one cruise not in Yacht Club 😉

I'm not talking about a freebie. I would expect to pay. Oh, well. 🤷

I'm sailing on Meraviglia on March 27th. I sailing with my son and his fiance. We have 2 cabins booked. I received an upgrade email for one cabin but not the other, so I didn't bid. I was thinking of checking at the port if any YC cabins were available (right now there's a ton of unsold YC balconies). Would I ask at the terminal or once on board?

Blocked. Same with any streaming option. No youtube, not even video on google news, or live stock prices streamed. Had to keep refreshing.
That was on Seashore in December and Meraviglia in January
I used FB Messenger video calls on both Divina and Seashore with the browse package. Worked just fine.

Just wondering if anyone has any idea when upgrade bid offers typically get sent out for MSC? We sail on 4/9/22 (our 1st time on the line) so a little over 30 days out now......We have used the bid program successfully on Royal and NCL previously. Anyone notice any differences with MSC's version?
Thanks in Advance!
I'm sailing on 3/27 and just got a bid email a couple of days ago.

I've done a few mock bookings with standard sailings and Voyages Select sailings. When I choose my sailing or promotion, it prompts me to enter my VC number from the dropdown menu. I select it, it tells me the card has been successfully applied, then it just sits there with the "OK" button greyed out. If I click on the page a couple of times, it takes me back to the home page.
Tried this on 3 devices (Windows, Mac and iPad) and on 2 operating systems (Chrome and Safari) all with the same result. I also tried it on someone else's VC account and they too had this problem.
I assume everyone else is having this issue?I've been having the same issue

Curious if anyone else had heard this ? While I think it was updated recently and most cruiselines easing restrictions. I read this on their website after trying to book yesterday. Our cruise in in May. I guess my question is when did this update this because I do not recall seeing this last week. Can we cancel and get a full refund for not being made aware of the change?
VACCINE REQUIREMENTS:
Until April 22, 2022, all guests 12 years and older must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 at the time of embarkation.
Beginning April 23, 2022, all guests 5 years and older must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 at the time of embarkation.
To be considered fully vaccinated:
- Your final dose in a 2-dose initial series of the Pfizer or Moderna vaccine or a single dose of the Johnson & Johnson vaccine must be completed at least 14 days prior to departure.
- Guests must present their original vaccination card or certificate reflecting all required doses at the pier upon check-in.
- The vaccination certificate must be valid for the duration of the entire cruise.
- Guests who have recovered from COVID-19 do not qualify as fully vaccinated.
It was announced yesterday. I received an email re:my cruise in June that I'm taking my granddaughters on. They have given the option to cancel with refund.

Interesting how in March the Divina is sailing our same itinerary, from Miami, with the exception of Roatan.
Also there is no Divina repositioning cruise from Miami to Port Canaveral. The plot thickens.
I've been wondering if they're going to keep Divina in Miami and keep Meraviglia in Port Canaveral.

Drive down the day before. Before Covid, decided to drive to Miami the day of embarkation and almost missed the ship. A 5 hour drive turned into almost 10 with multiple accidents on the Turnpike.

No worries - you will be able to get a bucket of lite beer to drink with the items to go.
Only 40oz Natty Light would be acceptable (MSC logo brown paper bag available for separate purchase)

I'm booked on F. Anyone else?
I'm booked on the 2nd half of F. I have a few more years to go before I retire, so I try to limit my time off to a week (give or take) at a time 😊

I sailed on Divina in October. I had a rapid antigen done at CVS on the Friday before departure(departed on Sunday). Had the results emailed to me within an hour. CVS opens their appointments 2 weeks prior to the date you're looking to book. Log on 1st thing in the morning to make sure you can get an appointment. 😊

Forgot the screaming hot Cheetos 😁
When I go on vacation (cruise, Vegas, Disney) food is a big part of my experience. At home, I'm not a very adventurous eater, but when I'm on a trip, I love to try new and different food. Have I loved everything I've eaten on MSC? No, of course not. The waiters have no problem bringing something else for you to try. Folks seem to think that everything should be perfect, 100% of the time. Maybe people just need to relax, go with the flow and just try to enjoy life 😊 Let the flaming begin 😂🔥🔥🔥
IT'S TIME FOR MORE OBSERVATIONS FROM THE POOP DECK

He was on Divina in October. Was on Seashore Feb 5th. No Arthur. I guess he's either on Divina, still, or went home for a break. Arthur's the best 😊
