So sorry to hear about your cat passing. Thanks again for taking us along with the new Glory going from across the pond to Her new home port. We will be sailing a 3 day cruise over Memorial Day. It was a last second decision. Haven't been on Carnival in a long time.
Thanks again for your review.
I will continue it in a day or three...

Thank you. We don't even know which one, yet. We have lots of animals and the pet sitter doesn't know all their names. I'm not sure I do.

@BlerkOnewhere are you taking us next month?
The world turned upside down yesterday. Our pet sitter messaged us that one of our cats passed away and that is going to have an impact on future plans, especially longer cruises far from home.
So I may not be posting much more to this thread for the next few days. Except for this
The wait for a private table for brunch was 2+ hours, so I got my complementary drink and brought it up to Lido. Last call for bacon!

After refurbishing the Glory, what are the noticeable improvements. The Sports Bar was renamed Heroes Bar with new pictures on the wall but essentially looks the same. Can you tell us the significant improvements.
The differences that made a difference to me are the bedside power points and a motion sensing light under one of the closets for the bathroom.
All new carpeting is nice but won't be new long. Lots of new paint.
The hotel director posted pictures during the dry dock. I'll have to see what he thought was significant
One thing that is coming is a new digital phone system instead of the old analog one.

I hate that I am so late to this wonderful live report!! You always take such wonderful pictures, thank you so much for taking the time to share your cruise with us. I still kick myself that I didn't have a drink with you on Carnival Miracle in May of 22, or on the Ecstasy final sailing.
Thank you. Probably not my best work, but I get to try again next month!

I never said they were in compliance. I said I couldn't prove that they weren't. I'll bet someone can. And, from what I can see, the only thing the software will do is allow them to possibly violate regulations closer to the borders of the regulated zones. It also takes any personal responsibility away from those people who are designated to ensure compliance by putting it on the software. "Well, OneOcean didn't tell me that we were entering a regulated space, so I thought it was okay".
I did. Carnival paid their dues.
I am also impressed by the biodigesters Carnival has installed. Reduction in single use plastics. Etc.
The software is just one piece, but it does help with consistency fleet wide.

So Carnival is in compliance and the software will only help them stay in compliance.
Carnival paid their fines and completed probation. The slate is clean

And, what is this going to do to make Carnival Corp any more environmentally compliant than they are now (
Just now, chengkp75 said:I think you have to admit that anything Carnival does is better than nothing.
Aren't they still on probation? If you think they are currently in violation, why not submit proof to the appropriate authority?

There has been an excellent naturalist on the ship this cruise. I hope to see her on future cruises

Yep... keep telling yourself that.
"The amoral late stage capitalist corporation I prefer doesn't act like all those other amoral capitalist corporations"
Some people cruise Carnival for perks... and Carnival wants those cruisers because Carnival wants any cruisers who turn a profit, no matter what they cruise for.
Some people cruise Royal for perks... and Royal wants those cruisers because Royal wants any cruisers who turn a profit, no matter what they cruise for.
Some of us cruise. Like me. Now.
Have a nice day!

Yes... and puffery isn't bribery, and EVERY business in EVERY industry on the planet does it.
When Carnival induces people - you'll say it's a "perk". When the other cruise lines do the same thing, they're "bribing" their customers. It's hilariously transparent tribalism.
People don't cruise for Carnival perks. In fact, Carnival doesn't want cruisers who cruise for perks. That is not the case with Royal. It's reality.

The correct answer is we don’t know what kind of WiFi performance Splendor has today, much less at a date in the future. Why make everything personal?
