Does Carnival allow for a home test that proctored by a third party? Anyone have the name of a telehealth that does this if allowed?

I think I read somewhere the Glory is going back to Dry Dock in January.
-
I was wondering if anyone had the latest 5 day menu or a link to a website that has it.

I know before the lock down Princess was testing wristbands for room keys and sail and sign. Not sure where it stands today. I imagine that this has been put on hold.

Since Carnival has started sailing again, I was wondering what the Platinum Gift is at this time.

Unless you are sailing from Miami or Port Canaveral

I sailed the Horizon about a year ago and will have to say I never felt crowded. Now as far as long lines well if you go at the prime time you will find lines longer than you might find them just 30 minutes before but they move pretty quickly.

Thank you Jamman for the great review. I am really enjoying it. Really does make me want to take a B2B.

Day # 1 - 9/16/19 – Embarkation Day!!
We are up early to finish our packing and wait for the car service to arrive. I had watched the Carnival Sunrise come back to New York on the harbor and port webcams. As of now, we still didn’t know where our cruise would be going. One thing for sure is that we wouldn’t be going to Bermuda, as hurricane Humberto was forecast to arrive there the same time we were supposed to. Carnival would only say that they were still going over their options, and that we would find out when we got to the pier. We are thinking that we are going north to Canada for sure.
Before I packed my laptop in my carry-on bag, I took one more look on the marine traffic map to see if the Sunrise had left the Manhattan pier to begin her short journey over to Brooklyn. When I put the cursor over the ship, it said that the destination for the Sunrise was Charleston, Charleston? I said “Patti, we’re going to Charleston!” That was a shock as Charleston wasn’t even on our radar. Being that this was a six day cruise from New York, other than going north to Canada, it doesn’t leave many options to satisfy the Jones Act by stopping at a foreign port. I could see maybe a two day run down to Nassau and then two days back. But stopping at Charleston would mean maybe a quick humanitarian run to Freeport then back to New York. I guess we’ll find out at the pier.
What cruise tracker do you use? I have one but I don't think it tells me updated destinations.

I will agree with the others HMC beats Princess Cay by a long shot. When my DW and I went we were so let down by the beach. I wonder what is the reason that Princess doesn't do anything to improve this? I am sure a lot of it environmental but I got to think they could do something.

I just looked and you can book all the way until April 2022. I guess they updated it.

I guess I didn’t word my question well. Do I pick a cabana on the ship or wait until I arrive in port?
You will pick your Cabana on the ship.

Thank you for sharing the link I hadn't run across in yet.

Those are all good questions. I read the below link yesterday may shed some light on things for drydocks

It would be tough for me to sail the Carnival Ecstasy as she was in such disrepair just 6 months out of dry dock.

If I am enjoying my balcony I don't want to have to get up and get a drink. Yes I could call room service but that takes too long.
So I am with RumpunchGirl

Nassau is getting a $250 million upgrade for the port and they are also trying to figure out a way to get cruisers enjoy the experience of Nassau better. The Article linked below talks about the upgrades

On the couple of cruises I have been on at Halloween my DW and I dressed up for Halloween and went to the MDR and didn't have any issues.
For the question about Elegant Night on the one cruise I was on that it fell on the same night it would have been they moved Elegant Night to another night.

Depending on timing/type of reservation:
For bookings that do not include airfare booked through Carnival, and not booked under a restricted/non-refundable fare*, there is no charge for a name change.
*Restricted and Non-Refundable fares include the following but not limited to these promotions: Early Saver, Pack & Go, Super Saver, etc.
If your booking is made under a restricted/non-refundable fare*, please check the Terms and Conditions of the specific promotion to see if name changes are permitted. If name changes are not allowed, the original guest will be subject to a non-refundable deposit (or full fare) or applicable cancellation penalties. An additional deposit will be required for the new guest.
If the GF no shows at the port her taxes and port fees will be refunded and he will not have to pay extra.
I for one thought there as an $50 name change fee. Glad they changed this and thank you for informing me as so I wouldn't give bad info.
