  1. :rolleyes:You could always start a thread about tipping, sharing Cheers!, FTTF, handicapped cabins, or some other controversial (at least on CC) topic and watch the fall out:rolleyes: <-- notice the sarcastic emoji (for all the haters out there)

LOL don't forget the chair hogs.

  2. Special Needs at Sea are wonderful about renting just about anything you might need. I rented a wheelchair, and total cost was 95$ for the whole 7 day cruise. As a plus, the wheelchair was waiting in my suite, and when the cruise is over, just leave it in the suite, they will pick it up. Easy peasy.

  3. So, I have been fighting with gastric and liver cancer for a couple of years, and can't eat much more than a few bites at a time. Up until then we always enjoyed first night's dinner at the Steakhouse. I see no reason to have to pay for two when I can just eat a few bites from my husbands dishes.

Would be fine with my Hubby, and myself, but not sure about the Steakhouse, they might just think us cheap, as well as other passengers.

I would hate for my hubby to miss it, and myself too. What do you think? Should I contact the steakhouse ahead of time and advise them? I don't know what to do...

  4. Call Special Needs at Sea, and you can rent a wheel chair, for about 100$ for a 7 day cruise. It will be in your cabin, when you get there, and you leave it in the cabin when you leave. Then call special needs and she can get a wheel chair assist to get aboard, and off, of course.

Very simple and worry free. Search for the number here, since I don't remember it right now..

Hope you all have a wonderful time.

  5. I've stayed in this cabin (and the equals 8235 and 7299). The only difference between them is the furniture arrangement.

I much prefer 7299/8235 as I find the configuration of 8237 slightly "odd" but absolutely love the 9B cabin category. So much so I'm booked again in 7299 next October.

There can be the slightest of noise from above while in the cabin (nothing intrusive while on the balcony except the potential for noisy neighbors which hasn't happened yet) but nothing that was an inconvenience. Otherwise the cabin is quiet, cool, comfortable and (to me) spacious.

thank you, I was mostly concerned with late night noises from the Pizza place, good to know there isn't much..

  6. I have read there are a couple of noise complaints about this cabin. I wonder if it is a big deal or not? Seems to me, a couple of complaints during the entire life of this ship isn't much. Love that larger balcony. Not a light sleeper, but don't want a really noisy cabin either. I know its under the Pizza place. Would the noise bother me on the balcony? We will be out there a lot. Just want some advice from others in this or cabins close to this one.

  7. the Steward will not remove, nor fold nor slide the trundle under during the day. Once they set it up, it is set for the duration of your cruise. this goes for the couch into bed also. We had to dig the back of the couch out from under the bed every time we wanted to sit on it, and it was still made up..

We have had the room set up just like this, and my feet were under the desk, no problem. the trundle is way lower, and is only 6 inches off the floor.

  8. We just returned on the Ecstasy, and the menu was the old style. The food was great. Here's a heads up, my sister received a coupon for two Steak House Menu items, we both had the Surf and Turf, and it was terrific. Would have been worth the money, for sure, except we didn't have to pay.. lol

    We enjoyed everything we ate.

We did see them setting up for the chef's Table, and it sure looked like everyone was enjoying it..
