  1. I can understand where ur coming from, but was only sea days that were busy with sunbeds as with all cruises. But the whole experience was very good . You wouldn’t know that there were over 4 thousand on the ship most of the time. Could allways get a table in bar or buffet. Like you we do still like the Marella brand but not the customer relations.
  2. Just back from our Arvia Caribbean cruise after Marella cancelled us 1 day b4 their cruise. Great food, entertainment , and for a much better price. Saved £1000 after paying drinks bill approximately.
  3. We just returned from PO Arvia and although we had all documents ie.insurance, Barbados immigration form and Covid proof we were not asked for any of them. Nor anyone else I spoke to. We managed to book this after Marella cancelled cruise 3 weeks ago.
  4. Just got off Arvia yesterday and sunbeds are the biggest topic on ship. on sea days and the beds and chairs are all gone by 7.30 am. All bunched together just like a seal colony. They have started a system that if ur missing on ur sunbed they put a yellow tag on it , and if you don’t return within a certain time there remove towels and personal effects. still doesn’t work though
  5. Will do . We were all packed and ready to go so had to get somthing and this was available. Been on the big ships b4 some good some not so. The PO price was a far cheaper price and we got Buisness class on Virgin (last 2 seats available) . So money saved will pay for our booze.
  6. We cancelled yesterday our disco 2 cruise for today. Should of been on the plane now. Was only officially told yesterday it was cancelled so offered full refund £100 cash comp and £200 vouchers , then offered keep the flight today to Jamaica with week in hotel a/I then join ship on the 7th feb. we declined the offer and luckily got on PO Arvia in couple days time to Barbados. Hope all of you on the 7th get away as planned, have a great time.
  7. Don’t believe it’s the food etc, Explorer sailing in the Caribbean with food and alcohol. Still waiting to be told Tuesday is cancelled. I’m checked in for flight, do I turn up. 🙈
  8. Looks like there’s a food and beverage shortage as I can’t see any sailings for Disco 2 untill till ships return to Malaga in March 🍹🌭🍔🥪🥓🥞🍾🥃🍷🍺
  9. I do agree thanks. But it does not get away from how TUI look after there customers. It s 6 pm and still not been informed our cruise is cancelled. I will be looking for a full refund of 8 grand and they can stick there £300 each for future cruise in there thrusters !
  10. We too are on this cruise. I must say that TUI Have the worst customer relations in the world . I’ve not even had any correspondence that our cruise is cancelled. They just put the phone down on you. This is our last booking to be made with TUI . Pity as had some very good times on Marella. Be Warned. as previous the ship has had problems for weeks.
  11. Towel clips. Have to get up early to use them. If your lucky 🙈
  12. Can anyone who’s been into Cuba the last few weeks with Marella had there passport stamped or just a card inserted and was the visa for just one day or the two while docked. Seems to be some different stories.
  13. We have used day before drop off many times with TUI without any problem although through covid it was suspended, overnight in hotel then straight through security in the morning. We travel from Gatwick. we have booked a couple of trips with TUI.
  14. Yes you can . We too are on same cruise in couple weeks time. here’s the details from TUI https://www.tui.co.uk/discover/best-airport-stress-busting-hacks
  15. Yes. Your have your boarding passes which you print off.
  16. Yes you can as long as it’s before midday the next day. The hours are between 2.00pm and 9.00 pm. The are details on the TUI website. enjoy https://www.tui.co.uk/destinations/faq/can-i-drop-off-my-luggage-the-day-before-i-fly?catId=261&subcatId=269&docId=843
  17. It tells you the age limits if there are any on the excursions when you open the individual trips. Nothing to do with individual insurances.
  18. We have to agree with you. We are on this cruise end of January and found a couple of excursions that over 65 s are barred from. We are only a year over the stipulated age but will be 2 years over during cruise 🙈. It’s amazing you can walk up the waterfalls at any age in Jamaica but not have a speedboat in Mexico even though some of us have had boats , crazy
  19. Did we meet you in zante in June as we met 2 couples going a week after us
  20. We are interested in luggage as well , we’re on that cruise end of January
