Cannot wait to get back on her for the sixth time in December including 18 days cruising back from Hawaii.
A beautiful ship.

Woohoo congratulations Shiona.
Experience, Aussie, AND. A female. What is there not to love?
Just joking kind gentlemen. Would hate to get a slap for sexist comments.
-
Probably not a good choice if it is the same as Anthem.
My brother was in 6690 and it was above the smokers station and the fumes were bad.
Worse was the chatter at all hours of the day and night.
Ok if you kept your door closed but no good to sit out there.
We were in 6660. Better situation but had a bad creaking noise in the wall.
-
Plus you get a certificate.
Put your hand up and get involved. Great fun.

Yes, same time each morning on each sea day, ours was at 11am.
I will add the time changed and moved 30 mins back to 1030am on the last day.
It is great fun especially if Joff is the CD - we won the Progressive on our cruise. We were well chuffed! :D
Yes, joff certainly makes it doesnt it. Fun times in Two 70😀😀😀

Progressive trivia was held in 280 and always full.
Best trivia i have ever done, vrry varied types of questions not just trivia eg a song played backwards, or baby photos of famous people.
Dont miss it.
We had tons of other trivia as well .at different times.

That's located at Century & Aviation and it should be okay for the day.
What are your plans for the day? If you go east of the San Diego (405) Freeway use caution because there are some rough neighborhoods.
Thanks for that.
No set plans at the moment. May just rest up before the flight.
We have a large very active online group that is organising a myriad of activities. Think i may need a day if rest after this cruise. Lol.
-
Also there are now other places to chat and share information
-
I am looking at staying here for the day. Been to LA before so not bithered about venturing out. Will see how we feel.
We are doing Panama on Disney Wonder in May next year.
-
Lol Karon, bet you had a stash of chocolate brownies in there too [emoji6].
Come on Rose, as if i would have any brownies left. Would have been eaten long ago.
-
Only if you like American-style pizza. It was nowhere near a true Neapolitan pizza which it claims to be. And, yes, I have eaten pizza in Naples and, yes, our local pizzeria (Via Napoli, owned and run by ex-Neopolitans) has the best pizza outside of Naples.
The one at Epping? Been there many times. Love their pizzas.

There is also a section of the stairs that has a glass floor , only one small section though and you can avoid it if you prefer. Yep i avoided it.

As a small note on this, one time we were coming back into sydney and were picked up by security. I was petrified thinking someone had put something in my bag.
We always declare all lollies, food etc.
BUT had forgotten a half eaten bag of hard lollies in a huge suitcase.
The x rays picked it up, so they must xray your suitcases before it gets to the carousel and flags your immigration card when you go through.
Luckily nothing became of it as i am sure they could tell by my horrified face it was a mistake.

I know that The Grande is formal every night.
However, the first night on a cruise is traditionally extra casual because some people get their luggage late.
So I am wondering if The Grande might be casual on the first night.
------------
We deliberately did not book any restaurant the first night but dining staff had automatically booked us into the grande.
Yes it was casual, first night.

But you can buy Reece's cups and pop tarts here.
I know you can. Even my local supermarket has them.
It was just a suggestion for her if she felt she had to bring some goodies.
Our family members always bring us basset licorich from the UK even though they know we can buy it here.
-
Lots of our supermarkets now have areas deducated to overseas items such as american, british or Asian.
Plus we also have quite a few international lolly shops that only sell overseas lollies.
Ans costco are also in a few cities too.
That being said, if you wanted to bring a gift for an australian here, maybe reeses cups, poptarts (bleh but some kids like them)
These if bought and declared will be Ok.
Just be extra careful of raw foods and fruit.

I did a short leg of a world cruise on QM. 2 and they actually had knitting and needlepoint get togethers.
There were just as many men as women working on needlepoint./ cross stitch.

Thanks erthdog. Not sure why my ipad would not upload them,
-
These are great cabins as they are in a small corridor on their own so no one walking past.
They were converted from a part of the restaurant so a bit newer. They also have much larger windows.
The inside cabins opposite are the studio / single berth cabins.

Hi, i was in 6660 on 22nd may sailing and have a few photos from Anthem.
I have tried to link here but not working. They are probably too big.
If you send me your email address i will forward them to you. I am also happy for you to repost them here.
Btw i have also reported on here about the noise in thus cabin, as if something is moving in the wall , never stopped. We were eventually moved but wonder if it had been fixed
-
Yes you can use different devices.
My husband and i shared one half of the pair on our ipads but had to use the same password.
My brother and his wife both used the other half of the pair , they were in a different cabin.
Hope that make sense.
Four of us using four devices but only two at a time online.
-
You can leave on your wedding ring and they tape over it for you.
My husband wears glasses and had no problems with the goggles over.
Also make sure you wear sports shoes that can be done up tight. No sandels etc.
-
hi. many thanx for the replies
it looks like 1 person may be able to collect the others tender tickets but i will double check with the concierge desk
it would save a lot of time n hassle !!
We had a similar situation on the hawaii radiance cruise.
We tag teamed several of us in the line starting very early and relieving others to have breakfast.
Maybe your group can share time in the line.

We were in 6660, terrible constant noise. Sounded like something flapping inside the wall, but next door did not hear it.
Asked to be moved, they suggestec earplugs, but held our ground and they moved us.
My brother in 6690 were above smokers and very noisy, late night, early morning...all day...coughing and talking as well as the smoke.

The new ovation will have lots of varety of different types of connecting cabins.
Might be a bit out if their price range though and very limited itineraries.
Voyager and explorer have connecting cabins .
