Going TO the USA, absolutely - all the airports with preclearance have dedicated queues for both Security and CBP processing you can use with GE.

If it's an RT cruise, you just won't be able to use the short queue on the way into Canada, only NEXUS works both ways among the 'regular Joe' TT programs.

Thank you! We are going to the US so hopefully it will go smoothly.

No, Global Entry is only for entry to the United States.  You will not be able to use it in Canada at either Immigration (you can use NEXUS if you have it), nor will you be able to use it at CATSA/ACSTA security checkpoints in Canada to get expedited security scanning.

However , if you're flying back to the US, and doing so from a Canadian airport, the US immigration pre-clearance will accept it.

Would that be in the Vancouver airport also? We disembark in Vancouver and are flying home to the U.S. We both have Global Entry and are hoping that will help us navigate U.S. CBP quickly.

  3. We always enjoy a leisurely breakfast on the ship then meander over to the island. I love snorkeling and swimming in that beautiful water. In all the times we’ve been there we’ve never eaten at the buffet. We usually come back and eat at the Dive In.

  4. Im doing a 21-day Southern Caribbean cruise in November 2023 with a partial canal transit. The only ports that have opened excursions are Cartagena, Panama Canal, and Costa Rica. We purchased an excursion at each of these ports and used our $300 excursion credits. We’re not big drinkers but do have a few sea days. The HIA is worth it for us. We also have 4 nights of specialty dining.

  5. As a single woman, I’ve been lucky to have a single friend who loves cruising as much as I do. This past Christmas I wanted to cruise during my winter break but she wanted to stay back with her 101 y/o mother - totally understandable but my mom passed away in February 2021. I took a 7-day Mexican Riviera cruise out of San Diego and did it solo. I interacted on our roll call and went to the single/solo meet up on the first night. Long story short I had a great time. Did some things on my own and other things with people I had met. One of the women I got to know is going to be stopping by and staying with me for a few days this summer. I was hesitant to go by myself but it turned out great. I ate a few meals by myself early on in the trip but that was okay. Do what you feel comfortable with and enjoy the adventures!

I hope it’s open.  Don’t know if you are cruising on the koningsdam but it was not open for the 2 weeks I was on in March and my recollection was that it wasn’t open in November 2021.  I physically went and checked in March.  I don’t like the cafeteria so the mdr is my choice.

I am on the Konigsdam- I hope it’s open and I can board early.

  7. American is doing a lot of flight changing. My flight in December to San Diego moved up 5.5 hours earlier - to 6:00am. Now I need to stay near the airport as I live 3 hours away. I tried calling Flight Ease and their message said they were aware of flight time changes. I didn't have time to stay on hold. I'm looking at the upside that I'll have an extra half-day in San Diego. I'm fully paid now so may try calling AA and seeing if they can offer a little later flight.
