Thanks for your reply. The Sun is in the Med in August where the legal drinking age is 18. I live in France where 16 year olds can drink alcohol is they have an adult family member with them.

I am traveling in August with my daughter and 2 granddaughters on Sun Princess. One is 18 the other 17 and will still be 17 when traveling. In the past we have bought a soft drinks/ mocktails package for the girls with wifi added on. For this booking we have booked princess plus for 3 of us no problem. I was told the 17 yr old would also have to have the princess plus package even though she cannot obviously have the alcoholic drinks. Surely this isn't right? I would like to get the experience of the people on CC before I sit in a queue for over an hour on the phone to Princess. Thanks for reading.

I saw that one and liked to look of it. I think its walkable from the terminal. We won't get out of the Airport until 1am approx so it may be a little late for shuttle buses.

Hi Our flight arrives into the airport at 11.50pm. I am thinking it's best to stay at an airport hotel that night and travel down to Civitavecchia port the next morning. Has anybody done this before who could recommend a hotel that is really easy to get to at that time of night and cab company or transfer service for the next morning. Thanks for reading. Edited to add I am 70 and although fit and healthy I don't want to be dragging suitcases on trains.

Would like to hear who you guys have used for this transfer. 2 people with 2 suitcases and 2 small bags. I don't want to travel by public transport although I understand it's cheaper but at my age comfort is paramount. Thanks for reading

It was the comments about the food that concerned me. Princess food hasn't been great since covid and if the OP thought it was better than Cunard then.... Not bothered at all about snobbish passengers although I'm not a fan of people not dressing to the required standards but I'm one that likes to dress up to the nines to go shopping 🙂

We have jumped ship from Princess to Cunard. Reading your review is making me wonder if we have done the right thing. We sail on QE on 18th September and I am now very nervous.

I am very cautious of independent excursions for the very reason you state - we are on our own. we have not fully committed to doing it our selves yet if it was me I would book with Cunard but my husband wants to book independently.

I did start to look but got called away and never went back to it. Certainly good info to have though - thanks very much.

Thank you so much for your detailed reply. We are voyage number Q330A. I wanted to book the ferry to Capri but not knowing arrival times makes it impossible to book in advance. I have looked at port schedules but times aren't displayed. Thanks again for your reply.

I am finding it difficult to find port arrival and departures time. Can someone please point me to where I can get this information within my booking. First cruise with Cunard and getting around my booking page has been a challenge. I am used to Princess personaliser which I think is extremely easy. Thanks for reading
