Royal does not release those numbers. Things change daily now with Omicron rapidly declining. You'll get different answers even if you ask crew once on board. My crystal ball says by the end of March you MIGHT have 70% capacity.
Sailed last October on Ovation, brought Harmony across on the trans-Atlantic, and cruised January on Indy, all with highly reduced capacity. It was wonderful.
Thanks so much! This is about what we expected - I see you're from Michigan (where my mom's at) and I know that the state has spring break then, so we expect a fair number of snow-sick cruisers to be ready to sail in late March 🙂

Hey all 🙂 My mom and I are headed out on the Allure on 3/27 and just curious on how many folks we could expect on board. I've been curiously following other capacity threads and appreciate any info yall have! Also glad to take any other tips / advice you have for sailing on the Allure.
Happy Wednesday to all!

So for those with cancelled cabanas. You get nothing. And they resell them to others at a higher price??
I say if this was a schedule change for symphony, they should get the leftovers
Correct. I was on the phone all day yesterday, emailing, tweeting, twitter DMing and nothing. He tried to upsell me champagne on one call to "commemorate my amazing cruise," twitter staff told me to be sure to be the first person off the ship, and the supervisor on the phone said to buy the floating beach mat and use that as a chair :))))

While cabanas will be in short supply, judging by the empty chairs on our Navigator visit, two Voyager Class ships probably won't break the island.
I hope that there are enough chairs. How were the beach areas? We have no interest in going to the pool or anywhere near it, but want to be sure we'll be able to utilize our unlimited drink package and get chairs by the beach. Would appreciate any and all insight!

Spent a lot of time on the phone yesterday with different workers. Mass cancellation of Cabana's for tomorrow's Navigator sailing as they're now having Symphony dock on a day that they were supposed to be cruising, and having Mariner dock with us. We were both supposed to dock on separate days. What I've learned - they will cancel cabanas for another ship. The capacity of the island is 10,000 people. There are supposed to be attendants helping everyone find chairs. There aren't enough chairs for people, especially when two ships are docking. Their advice? Purchase the plastic floating beach mat or be the first person off the ship 🙂

It's an unrealistic excursion for a cruise passenger. It's nowhere near Nassau.
Great, this is all I needed to know 🙂 thank you so much for your quick reply!!

What’s the least expensive and time intensive way to see the pigs from Nassau? Thank you!!

All of our drinks outside were ordered at the Lime and Coconut (on deck 12) They did a good job and were friendly. Inside, most were at Playmakers. The did well also. There is a room in the back of Playmakers that has TV screens all around you, and a large Jenga set on one of the tables. That made for a very fun place to chill in the late hours.
To be honest, I'm not a big breakfast eater. I typically just have coffee in the morning. I did have corned beef and hash, eggs and bacon a few days but that's about it. Breakfast had a HUGE selection though. Pretty sure they have the omelet/egg station as well but someone else would need to confirm.
Happy sailing!
Dan
I will probably follow your lead and not exercise lol. Vacation is vacation for a reason. Thanks for your help on all my questions, Dan!!!! Cannot wait to set sail!

I went with my wife and two kids (4 and 12). We booked a beach bed for $150. We loved it. It was literally a bed about 10 feet away from the water in a private beach area. We were provided two floating mats and 4 bottles of water. We also were given a menu a couple days before and we ordered lunch to be delivered to us. No need for buffets. Plus a private bar. It was amazing. We have relatives who hung out by the new pool and they said it was great as well. It was so big you couldn't see the other end.
This sounds like exactly what we’d want. We would rather be on the beach than by the pool, no question. Thank you so much!

Would love your thoughts on how it was? Any details you'd be willing to share? We have Coco Cay on our itinerary for the Navigator at the end of May. Thank you! We are three adults - mom and two daughters - with unlimited drink packages looking for our best plan of action.
-
Also, adding on to my previous questions. How was the fitness center? I heard it wasn't quite finished previously. Thank you!!

Hi there! Love your review. I'm sailing on the Navigator in May. What were the breakfast options like? We loved the omelet station on the Jewel as well as the variety of food in the Windjammer. Also, what was your favorite bar that you went to? Any tips you have for adults on places to go would be well received 🙂 Thanks for your thoroughness!

I have heard about getting stuck at a table with an intolerable boor, or people who don't speak your language, or people who don't show up to dinner.
As requested I will tell you a happy story.
We always do 6:00 traditional dining. We have never made any seating requests but have always been placed at our own table. A year ago our group of 4 arrived at our table on the first night and found that we were seated at an 8-top with a family of 4. We got along well and last fall all 8 of us went on vacation together.
This is lovely! So happy to hear it went so well. Will definitely keep an eye out for new friends on the ship as always!

Or you do what we do (not so much for 3 nights but for 7+) We start with a table for 2 MTD and if we make friends throughout the cruise we start making reservations with them...tables for 4, 6, 8 or 10 depending on how big our circle of friends gets!!
This is super helpful! We have 6pm traditional dining. We will start with 2 and expand if we want 🙂 Just want to ensure I have time to talk to my mom and not rush through dinner. Thank you!

Well, in my case I'm cruising with my mentally disabled brother. He can get a little nervous if it's people he doesn't know, and even if he's comfortable he can sometimes be a little... well, overwhelming. On our last cruise (Celebrity) and our upcoming cruise (RCI), I asked for a table for two without mentioning his disability - and they indicated that it wouldn't be a problem.

Totally get it. My youngest brother has autism, and our last cruise (Jewel of the Seas 3/2017) we were totally accommodated for him with dining. I checked in with the HW during embarkation and they told us they had just the dining team for our family in mind, and we truly fell in love with them! Ping and Martin. Best of luck on your next cruise!

I echo sending the request to the email listed above. I have done that for my 3 previous cruises and have always recurved the table for 2 that we requested!
will do!! Thanks so much!

Try sending your dining table preference to rcldining@rccl.com about 3 weeks before the cruise.
super helpful! Thank you!

Open suggestion to anyone sitting at a group table, for the love of God please do not start talking about politics. I've only experienced sitting with others at breakfast and lunch on sea days. Mostly a positive experience, but twice turned to politics. If it happens at dinner with people I'm sitting with the whole cruise, I will be reassigned.
yep, exactly! thank you.

Some people, myself included, like to sit at a table for 2 on a cruise just like at restaurants at home. Some people like to sit at a larger table and socialize. Different strokes for different folks.
If you are doing my time dining just request a table for 2. You can also go to the main dining room as soon as you get on the ship and talk to the dining room staff and request a table for 2.
Exactly! Thank you for this. We will go to the dining room once on the ship to ensure our request is made 🙂 Thanks again!

What is wrong with sitting with other people?
That wasn't the point of my post. I am not a fan of the unknown possibility of crying kids, bickering couples, or people who want to start political arguments with their new table mates. A simple question that required a simple answer 🙂

Hi all, my mom and I (23 y/o female) are taking a 3 night cruise on the Navigator of the Seas over Memorial Day Weekend. We usually cruise with our family of six, so we aren't put at a table with other people. We have dinner set for 6pm every night. Will we automatically be put with other groups? How big are they usually and is there any way to ensure this doesn't happen? Would also love people's happy and horror stories on being sat with other folks 🙂 Thanks friends!

Love this so far. Sailing on a 3 night Navigator trip over Memorial Day weekend. Would love your thoughts on the bars and best drinks; it's my mom and myself (23 y/o female) sailing, we have the deluxe drink package and want the down low!! Enjoy!

hopping in here-- we leave on the Jewel on Sunday. on the map it says that in our staterooms (both of them) a third and fourth pullman is available. does that mean we need to ask for them to put the beds in? we have three people to a room.
thanks so much in advance :)

thank you all so much!! my dad just went to the back to get lots of singles, thank you all :) <3

Really enjoying your review! So glad you were able to make lemonade out of the cancellation lemons you were handed - the beach looks beautiful. I am also curious about what happened to the folks that dipped out. Pretty brave move!
