Thank you! Yes, that’s the link. And I did also go to the O site just a few minutes ago and found menus there as well.

Just out of curiosity, how did you find the restaurant menus on the O website? I can’t figure out what to search and bot is no help.

They would be happy to trade the champagne for a non-alcoholic sparking or some other non-alcoholic drink

We are water drinkers….Like I said, hopefully we’ll make some friends who’d enjoy the champagne on us!

I doubt  you can trade the  champagne in for OBC   just ask the butler to remove it   so you are not tempted

Hopefully we will make some friends and I’m happy to donate the champagne to them! I’m tempted by all of it!😖

I was much happier with a nice cold plastic bottle of water than this refillable water bottle which didn't keep the water cold. We left ours on the Marina. If Oceania is committed to saving the world from too much plastic, provide a high quality refillable.

I have a stainless bottle that keeps ice frozen for hours…I’ll carry both if need be (I like my water COLD!).  I drink at least 8 glasses of water a day so this is a big one for me!

  5. What I love about cruising is I DON’T have to pack light!  🤣🤣 We are doing Scandinavia and expect a wide range of temperatures, so needing pants as well as shorts for touring, nice tops for dinners, sweaters and ponchos and layers, oh my.

  6. We are in a PH (leaving in 48 hours, yay!) and I’m wondering what sort of swag we might get and thus not have to bring from home.  Refillable water bottles? Tote bags?

Also read somewhere there’s a bunch of free alcohol that fines with the room…I’m supposed to be a teetotaler for another 3 months due to a medical procedure and have no need for alcohol (though I miss it a lot!) and my SO declines in solidarity with me.  Any chance they let us turn that in for OBC? The champagne kills me most of all, because I love it and it’s a huge No-No for me now. Sigh.

Anything else I should know before we depart for our pre-cruise London visit? Thanks all.

Noticed your posting. We are sailing with you on Marina.  We have sailed on Celebrity many times.  We are elite plus.  Celebrity does a nice cruise.  Ships are big.  At times, you may experience crowds.  With 2000+ guests, it is huge compared to Windstar, Azamara, and Oceania.  On a big ship, there are lots of activities.  Smaller ships offer fewer options.  Smaller ships are less crowded. Windstar and Oceania have excellent service and fabulous  food.  Celebrity has good food.  Aqua class has spa type menus and a separate dining room for breakfast and dinner.  Lunch is in the buffet except for sea days.  We tried aqua class once. We thought menus were ok, but liked main dining room menus better. We also didn’t like our aqua class cabin above the buffet.  If you book aqua class, book on deck 9.  Those cabins are quieter and are shaded. We prefer concierge cabins on deck 8.   Infinity is a Millenium class ship.  Last time we were on Infinity in 2013, it needed a renovation.  Not sure of its condition.  We did sail on a Millenium class ship, Summit June 2022 after renovations. Summit was nicely renovated.

Thanks, I just replied to your O post about mahj! I’m Sue, hope we meet next week.😉

  8. Hello, doing some preliminary legwork. Typically we cruise mainly for ports and don’t have loyalty to any line thus far (we’ve sailed on Windstar, Azamara and Oceania).  We have never done a large ship like Celebrity and are hesitant in large part because of crowds.  We like an itinerary on the Infinity in September 2024 (week after Labor so not expecting tons of families onboard as school will have just started).  I would like to know what distinguishes Celebrity and Infinity.  Would likely do Aqua level as we are accustomed to larger cabins and mostly adult only ships. What’s the advantage of Aqua vs concierge? How bad are lines for meals, bars, activities, etc with Aqua? What do you like and dislike most about Celebrity? How would you advise your best friend?

    Thanks!

That would be very elegant and oh so Downton Abbey, except it would be quite a feat. The PH bathtubs were removed in Riviera’s recent dry dock refits. The new bathrooms are fantastic, though, even if no butler is required to operate the shower for you.

Hmm, I thought I saw a photo of a tub on Marina…alas, Calgon obviously will not take me away.

This is a pic of the toiletries we currently have in our B2 balcony cabin on Riviera. It's the White Tea version which to me has an almost imperceptible scent. As you can see the shampoo and shower gel are one and the same. Personally I wouldn't use cruise ship toiletries on my hair so I can't comment on its performance as a shampoo. But as a shower gel it's fine although not at all luxurious. Our shampoo/shower gel and body lotion have been replaced as they were getting low.

I no longer color my hair so am fairly ambivalent now about my products.  Facial cleanser etc is a totally different matter!

  11. Hi all.  We are possibly interested in a vista cruise in 2024 and I’m wondering if someone can explain how the booking of a future cruise works while onboard.  Are the savings of doing so significant? Do they give you extra perks, OBC, that sort of thing?  What if there’s a sale in the future (cabin upgrades or something else), are you able to take advantage of those? When you book onboard for a year or more out, do you buy trip insurance immediately (for preexisting condition coverages)? Do you get any sort of priority for anything?

Can you make the booking any time while onboard or do you have to do it the last day or so?

Obviously we’ve never done it and we do like to check out different lines on our limited cruising time/budget but IF it’s worthwhile we’d consider it.

    TIA for your advice.

NCLH investor website has a tab for shareholder credit info.

Min. 100 shares.  Must own stock in your name, not street name.  Your mutual fund owning shares does not qualify.  Your holdings in reg. Brokerage account as well as IRA, 401K, etc brokerage accounts quality.

Thanks.  Is the perk (OBC?) decent? How’s the stock doing 🤣? I could see mentioning to my broker that I want 100 shares to get a drop of a benefit😂

  14. Can anyone expound on this shareholder perk? Must you own minimum number of shares to qualify? Presumably a brokerage statement showing you’ve purchased the shares suffices since there are no stock certificates anymore.  Wonder if a mutual find owning some shares would count?

I'm sure that the previous poster provided accurate information based on their experience.  Our experience was somewhat different.  I agree that the Bulgari toiletries are high quality, and in theory, you should be provided with shampoo, shower gel, conditioner and body cream.  After sailing on Insignia for 48 days this past January/February, there was not one day that we had one of each of those toiletries provided for us in our cabin, so it might be wise to take a travel size of your favorites with you, so you are either not stuck in your cabin without them, or tracking down a service cart in the corridors to try to obtain something.  For the first 4-5 weeks we had no shampoo, and our cabin steward told us to use the shower gel to wash our hair.  After that we had no shower gel, and were told to use the shampoo.  Forget about being given a choice of your preferred scent, because that never happened.  Perhaps because we were in a regular balcony cabin and not a suite, or perhaps it was just incompetence by the cabin steward.  Whatever the reason, I took the missing toiletries from service carts if I could see them there.  I had no desire to complain to the Front Desk, as I was told by other passengers that it wouldn't help.  I do recognize that cabin stewards, and their assistants are pleasant people who work very hard, and I wouldn't want to get them in trouble either, but it seems as if a Manager should do spot checks in rooms, after they are serviced, to ensure uniform standards.  I was glad that I brought travel sizes of my preferred toiletries, for the several occasions when we lacked toiletries, so just something for you to consider.

This is disturbing.  We are in a PH so that’s not the issue, but sheesh, it’s a bad look!  Sorry you dealt with that…I will indeed pack an emergency stash to go in the checked luggage.  Thanks for your reply.

  16. Hello, getting psyched for our 6/21 sailing on Marina!  What can you tell me about the Bvlgari products in the bathrooms? I’m hoping not to have to bring my own shampoo & conditioner, body wash and body lotions but I’m a peasant and not familiar with the Bvlgari line.  Scent? Creamy vs oily? Etc. I do presume they replenish regularly.

    Thanks!

I found the best way to see the gym equipment on each ship is to watch a few ship tours on YouTube. You can usually see everything after a few videos. Save time and just skip ahead to the fitness area. The first video I looked at had at least two ellipticals, treadmills, bikes, rowing (for some reason this always cracks me up and I hum Volga boat men), free weights, and just the edge of a circuit system. From memory, there are also balance/yoga equipment...tons of stuff to do almost anything.

Edit: 2nd video shows more ellipticals, etc (I thought two didn't sound right). I don't see the brand on the circuit eqt, but in the aerobic studio there are a few "Kinesis" things...don't know what they are.

Thank you.  I didn’t think I’d find anything on TikTok🤣🤣😉

  18. Can anyone give me some insight about the gym on Marina? What machines/circuit options exist, etc? Not too interested in classes, but sometimes I need an hour on the elliptical!

  19. So designer jeans START at $100 and often have premade rips/holes for fashion purposes, but some here would say they’re not nice enough for dining.  Khaki’s and chino type pants can be had $25 at Kohl’s…and they look it imo.  My “sandals” are $85 for the support they give me and I’m not getting uncomfortable cheap closed-toe shoes just for my dining room visits. I feel like it’s all in the eyes of the beholder. Jeans aren’t necessarily  sloppy or dirty.  I suspect age and/or location play a role in what one considers appropriate.
