  1. Any casino winning will be tied to the individuals sign and sail card by creating a casino account with your own pin number to apply funds and winnings to. She will be able to charge money to your sign and sail account to use in the casino if you giver her charging privileges, but will not have access to your winnings.

As far as cheers, since she is not in your cabin you do not have to buy the cheers program for her. The cost of any drinks she gets will be applied to the sign and sail account she has charging privileges too.

    Hope this helps.

Kind of thought all of the above but wanted second opinion. Of course I could call Carnival but these days I feel like I can ask three different reps and get three different answers LOL.

    Thanks so much!

  2. I tried searching both CC site and Carnival site with no answer to my questions. I have my bf's mother in a different cabin eligible to charge on our cabin account.

    1. If there are casino winnings from any one of us, is it tied to the individuals sign/sail card or to the cabin? I get she could take advances and we would get hit with the cost but we'll do our best to not tell her that option is available... LOL ;)

    2. If we purchase the Cheers program for our cabin, are any drinks that she purchases go against our count? I didn't think so since it's tied to each traveler in the cabin but wasn't sure.

Trying to decide if I either take her off and set up her own account with my credit card or leave it as is with her having charging privileges to our cabin.

    Thanks!

  3. I spent almost all day trying to find an air bnb in old san Juan. Every one that replied said "no power yet". Did not find one.

My BF just called Casablanca and supposedly they are open and he has a confirmation number. No working elevator but generator to run everything else. Crossing fingers as we knock on the door come Saturday.....

  4. I emailed the general manager directly. They are evaluating damage. All reservations through Oct. 31st are canceled. They are taking no new reservations through Dec. 31st. He said they should have a better idea in about a week about my Nov. 10th reservation.

I booked Holliday Inn Express Condado as a back-up. They stated on their Facebook page that they are open as of Oct. 4th.

We called the Holiday Inn Express on Tues 10/3 and they stated they are not taking any new reservations and current reservations are considered cancelled until November and then the call dropped. Guess we'll have to call again but at this point my reservation for the 14th was cancelled.

  6. My BF family also has family there, in San Juan, and guess what, still no power. They themselves are very concerned on the mosquito issue. They have to buy their food day to day. Calls are dropped every time we can get through. Just because a few are doing ok, doesn't negate the others that are not. Only 10% of the island has power, albeit the area that has more wealth and businesses, but what about the other 90%....

  7. Heard Marriott has reopened

Tried booking online, nothing. Tried calling, said they are not taking reservations, then call dropped... :( Maybe I was too late on the booking but will keep trying. Need one night next weekend.

  8. According to the PR Tourism information link posted in another thread, you are wrong, there are a number of hotels that ARE open but just not taking new reservations until specific dates.

Any of the hotels posted that are open and taking reservations after today's date still show as closed when searching for rooms online. The Holiday Inn says they are closed until November yet the PR link shows otherwise so not sure where they are getting their information.

  9. We're supposed to be sailing out of PR on 10/15 and have no idea of what's going on. No hotel to stay at. Airport is jam packed and flights are limited. Not exactly sure how you expect people to travel there when people are trying to leave. My BF mother and brother live there and they wait 5hrs in line a day to purchase food that has to be cooked that day since there is no power. Sorry but no, I do not want to sail out yet have no idea if we will or will not.
