  1. Question for readers: are the videos coming through okay on your end? They just spin if I click on one.
  2. Those aft venues are specialty restaurants in the evening (The Catch and Butcher’s Block), but part of The Eatery buffet on sea days. The selections are not from The Catch when it’s part of the buffet.
  3. Wake View Terrace and the pool depth someone was wondering about. IMG_2650.mov
  4. IMG_2651.mov Riding the aft glass elevators from the Wake View Terrace to deck 18. It’s kind of odd that anyone can take the elevator and exit in the middle of the Sanctuary.
  5. Park 19 looked to be training staff on the ropes course. You can walk around the jogging track, use the hammocks, and play ping pong. Everything else still appears to be closed. The odd-looking seats are surprisingly comfortable.
  6. I did go up to the Sanctuary today, but I wanted to verify the information I got before posting. Let’s just say it’s different… No “formality” difference between the floors, just that 6 is more like traditional with two seatings, 7 is anytime, and 8 is the American Diner (menu posted earlier) which is supposedly more of an “express” scenario.
  7. Absolutely loving the forward area of Deck 17. It’s nice being able to sit in a lounger and see forward without paying for the Sanctuary. (Royal class ships have no view forward other than the Sanctuary and the forward cabins). I’m stunned how smooth the ship feels here, and at the complete lack of wind. As a matter of fact, there’s no wind anywhere today. We must be on the same heading and speed as the wind.
  8. Here’s the deal with Coffee & Cones. The premium soft serve and the Granitas ARE COMPLIMENTARY for Plus package guests, they just count towards the two premium desserts per day. This is wonderful, as one of those sundae monstrosities is enough for the whole cruise! The lemon granita is quite flavorful. Here’s the BUT… the premium soft serve isn’t working. So deck 9 is the soft serve spot.
  9. The view from the Lean-Over spot (can’t remember what it’s called) would be more impressive if there weren’t decks below.
  10. Ship wandering today. I’m impressed that there’s no visible smoke from the ship at all.
  11. There’s no vibration like on other ships. It’s very smooth. There was just a lot of rolling motion.
  12. You have to take the shuttle ride for €10. There’s a Ho-Ho stop right where the shuttle drops you off, but the main stop is a 5 min walk into town. See my earlier post with the map.
  13. Learned today that on sea days, the buffet area at Butcher’s Block and Catch have breakfast items until noon, including eggs fried to order!
  14. The Promenade Grill outside on the port side of Deck 9. The five dispensers on the right side will eventually have the condiments.
  15. The outside seating for The Eatery is very popular in the sunshine today.
