I remember being on a flight once when children and parents hadn't been allocated seats together and the hostess simply asked people to volunteer to swap places to make sure they were together before the flight took off

    All very easy and straightforward

So even in the very unlikely event  the allocated seats weren't right they would sort for you I'm sure once on the plane

But how many people would be happy to move seats when they have paid handsomely for those seats?

  2. I, too, have tried and failed to find any information on website so have phoned Princess UK.

The information that was supplied was from a memo and among the criteria that have to be filled are that we have to wait for an invitation, full payment has to have been made and that the booking has to have been made direct with Princess not through a TA!

The last seems to be different for us.

  3. We do agree with TerrierJohn.

We travelled back to UK from Barbados in March on Britannia in a suite and in June on Sky.

     in a mini suite.

These are the same ship in essence.

But, unfortunately, there was no comparison between them. Sky and Princess were a far better experience. From the food, particularly in the buffet (far more choice each day), the attitude of the staff and the general cleanliness of the ship.

One of the things on Princess that we appreciate is the ability, as Elites, to send washing to the laundry on a daily basis as well as the mini bar setup.

The only advantage we had on P and O in a suite(apart from the size of the cabin) was having breakfast in the Epicurean.

And, each year, Princess alters their itineraries as opposed to P and O repeating the same.

I’m going in December and flight details have come through earlier this week.

    Depart Birmingham at 06:15.

    Depart Tenerife at 11:50.

    Both with Jet2.

    Thank you.

We are going in January and we hoped it would be early.

Last year we left in the afternoon and we were so late getting to the ship.

I believe this is now an unannounced procedure/policy.  PCL is keeping one DR "back" from the App.  I am thinking they are now at least attempting it to be the one that hosts the Reserve section.  That said, it may not be always well understood between each ship and HQ which mid-ship DR is going to be hosting Reserve (it is always one of the mid-ship DR's).  The aft DR should be one of the two offered in DMW.

I believe they are doing this to allow for better accommodating walk-ups who don't book a res.  It also gives the DR Mgmt more flexibility in blocking a set table for those guests requesting it because it is impossible for DMW to do that.

That 3rd DR (and for Diamond and Sapphire I am treating the split DR's as a single virtual DR on each deck) may be available in the App on board, but don't count on it as they may be directing walk-ups there.  Nevertheless, rest assured that all three DR's will be in use.

That is what I did for our recent cruise.

And as I said I never saw the 3rd room on the available list and, on Sky, it was Cielo  - the one down on Deck 6 at the back whereas the reserve tables were in the central MDR. When I looked to book for September 24 also on Sky only the Estrella and Soleil were available

  6. We have got cruises booked on Sky and Caribbean.

When I look to book dinner I am only shown 2 out of the 3 dining rooms - why? The ones missing are not the ones that have the reserve tables as far as I know.

And is there anything I can do about it - apart from wait until we are on board.

After the length of time this system has been running why has nobody involved in it ironed out the glitches

I do apologise if this question has been asked before

  7. We flew to Tenerife from BHX on 3rd December with Jet2 leaving at 06.15 flight no. LS2185.

This flight is a charter and, therefore, we could neither book in before or use the twilight service.

When we flew back from Malta in September the flight was scheduled and so we could book in up to 28 days before.

  8. There seems to be a great variation in the timings of the flights out to Malta and with various airlines. The later in the day the greater the chance of delays seemingly.

It would have been nice to have a leisurely arrival but.....

  9. Now our luggage has to be collected on arrival in Malta - has anyone any estimate of the time it takes from landing to getting on to Azura?

I ask because I have been following the Tui flight from Birmingham for several weeks (I know - sad isn't it) and it is usually late arriving. Today it is due to land at 19.01 for example.

We are hoping that dinner is held for us!
