STEVE: I'd love to hear how it works for you. Thanks.
I'm on the Majesty now. I connected the router as a hot spot without any problems.
Here's what I'm seeing.
1. The connection is open and then you have to log into a webpage, so you cannot use one credential for all that is managed by the router.
2. Setting it in extender mode did not work. I kept getting authentication errors.
3. Connecting in AP mode is what I did. There are several Wifi hotspots around the ship. The Windjammer on deck 11 is one, and my stateroom is on deck 10 just below it. With the stronger router antenna I can get 2 bars, so my wife and I can connect to the route in our stateroom and use our credentials instead of going to a hotspot to hang out.

I have the same router and was going to bring it on the Majesty. I think I might still do it.

My wife just started looking at the cruise on the Wonder in early December that goes to Jamaica and Mexico. It looks nice.

Maybe that explains your lower fare per sq foot on the Wonder over the MotS?

I'm sure it does. I feel fortunate for it.
I've read all your posts on the history of DCL and Galveston. The point is that a deal can be had if sailing from Galveston. The Wonder will be back in Galveston in November 2016. I can't say that the deals will be the same, but I still feel that I got a great DCL experience, even if not on the signature ship.

My wife and I recently completed a 7-night cruise to the Bahamas on the Wonder from Galveston. Sailing was on December 11 for $3,850 for a 5B verandah stateroom. That amounts to a rate of $1.03 per person per sq. ft. per night.
I just booked a 4 night cruise on Royal Caribbean Majesty of the Seas out of Miami for February 1 in a junior suite (which is smaller on the smaller Majesty). It's essentially the same itinerary without the sea days (and Coco Cay in place of Castaway Cay). The cost is $2,012, which is $1.15 per person per sq. ft. per night.
So sailing on the Wonder in December was definitely a deal!

I was on the Disney Wonder from December 11-18. They showed the movie the night before the release, on December 17 at 6:00pm, 8:15pm, midnight, and 3:00am on the 18th.

I was on the Wonder in December. My wife and I did two seminars. We did the chocolate and liquor pairing, and the martini tasting. The chocolate event was well-attended, they set up a long row of tables in the Cadillac Bar. For the martini tasting, there were fewer if us so we sat at the bar.
