Just been announced the ship's to be called IONA

Auror a is our favourite ship, it always seemed well kept and we like the different seating areas on deck. The entertainment can be hit and miss not keen on the Headliners. The crew are always polite we are going on her for the 5th time in October and May next year after her refit into an adult only ship. Enjoy

On Aurora, Arcadia and Oceans you can get Apple and Orange juice in the buffet at breakfast but only water tea and coffee free the rest of the day.

Never been on Brittania.

A member of staff swipes you cruise card on boarding the shuttle bus which tells them if you are saver or Select passengers

Select fares passengers were charged for the launch to St.Marks square the first time we visited Venice,so we decided to use the people mover and route Number 1 Water Bus to the Rialto Bridge last year which was much nicer.

We are hoping Caravan will be on Aurora in November as we think they are really good.

They did a Bee Gees and Eagles tribute last time we saw them which was great,they can play almost anything,

When we went to St.Petersburg on Arcadia the dock was a long way out of the centre,but as we were going on tours the coach took us into town on both days. I expect you know you cannot go off on your own in Russia without Visas which are expensive so most people were booking tours so you avoided this. St.Petersburg is very interesting but very busy,enjoy

If you get a coffee card you get one free coffee in every 10 ( about £2.50 )

You can only order medium size coffees with the card.

Been on Arcadia 4 times and had midship on D deck ( D110 to D106 ) the cabins are quite big and have shower and bath,also near the middle lifts so handy to go either end of the ship.

Good video Brian,there is a Tram service in Messina,if your very mobile you can get the tram ride outside the cruise terminal takes you right into town centre only a couple of Euro, pay at the machine when you board.

We are on Aurora 22nd Nov to the canaries, been around that time for the last 2 years and it was warm around 20/22 centigrade. Hope we are both lucky this time!

We did Venice on our own last month,got the people mover to Piazzale Roma and got the

No1 vaporetto to Rialto Bridge,you can wander the lanes to St. marks square.

The vaporetto tickets are 7.5 euros for 75 mins make sure you validate the tickets before boarding.

The coffees are between £2.20 and £2.50 for Americano and Latte coffees.

You can only get the small sizes with a coffee card. You save about £2.50 on a 10 drink card but sometimes the waiters forget so you can gain more.

You can also get a free cake if you ask. Aurora & Arcadia give you this in the main coffee bars.

Went on Arcadia April 27th,had 1.30pm boarding time.We travelled the day before so turned up at noon prepared to wait but they were booking everyone in straight away and then making you wait until you card letter was called.It seemed to go much smoother don't know if this a new thing. We were onboard at 1pm and were offered snacks and drinks like the suite passengers even though we had a balcony cabin as the cabin was not ready.u

Forgot to add the resident group (if still onboard) Caravan are very good and are on

most evenings in Champions bar or Carmans,some sea days by Riviera pool lunchtimes

Went Aurora twice last year and the shows in the main theatre are 8.30pm and repeated

at 10.30 pm. There are also acts some nights in Carmans at 7.30 and 9.30pm.

Best to get to the main theatre at least 20 mins before start as it can get full.

Went on the hop on hop off bus last year from Valletta. Decided to get of at Mdina which

was nice but on trying to catch the bus straight back to the ship was told nearly all the buses go right round the coast which takes about 3 hours,so was told to wait at Mdina and a bus direct to the cruise terminal would be 10 mins. We had to wait nearly an hour and a half before a direct one came along. The drivers were unhelpful and rude to us when we asked the time of the bus we needed. So be careful if you get off somewhere!

Was on Aurora last month and the food in the buffet was good,they have themed evenings every night,so if you only like British food not a lot to choose from if it's not a British themed evening,although there are hot meals lunch time.

Hi Bournemouth air, the Horizon buffet is on deck 12, I think evening meals are served at

6.30pm but be aware they have themed food nights so if you prefer English food the Freedom dining restaurant will be a better option and opens at 6pm.We were on Aurora April/May and the food was good in the Medina freedom dining restaurant.

You can also get main meals in the buffet from 12 o'clock if you prefer to eat your main meal then. Aurora is a lovely ship,enjoy
