  1. NOTICE: today I’m told by my daughter there were beans in the chili. She said it was completely different!
  2. Heading to the casino for a drink and to kill time before our Cagney’s reservation. Need to decide if I’m switching it up at Cagney’s or repeating our first night’s dinner.
  3. I would do my best to meet the standards bc there are no dogs on board to feed the bad eggs to. I hope you’ll do a ‘live’ from Prima as I have the feeling it would be very entertaining!!
  4. The depressing mail finally arrived at my cabin while I was at the pool….maybe if I’m really quiet they wouldn’t notice if I stayed on board tomorrow?
  5. Lava Flow in the sun. I haven’t posted many drink pics this week…if I do this again on our next cruise do people like seeing various drinks?
  6. @Cruzin64647 Yes - we will be at Cagney’s tonight so it may be slightly different but will take and send. May have photo from earlier that I took but didn’t post will look.
  7. It’s warm and sunny now and all chairs are taken. We were lucky to find two and two earlier right after breakfast. The Those at the end of the second pic have been empty since we arrived at the pool. If I wasn’t in a chair I would have already removed the towels and acted innocent when they finally arrive later this afternoon!
  8. There wasn’t B&G on the menu, but they had it on the buffet the other day. I added salt and butter to the grits and they were pretty good.

  10. Some folks earlier asked about casino limits. I have not seen them get a poker game running other than the tournament. Blackjack seems to be $10 minimum at all tables. Roulette was a $10 minimum with $2 chips. Let it Ride was the only $5 table I saw. Plenty of slots in every denomination even keno with a decent pay table if you’re into that.

  12. Freestyle Daily - Norwegian Breakaway - Day 7 - December 23, 2023 Here are your dailies for the final day at sea! Morning coffee on the balcony. This may be what I’ll miss most next week!
  13. Good morning from somewhere in the middle of the Gulf on our last full day. Sad but we will be sure to make the best of our day! Forecast is in the low 70’s today. This position is just a bit behind and we are slightly north of this.
  14. Glow party night was last night. @PaperSniper4 and @RocketMan275 I am now firmly in the ‘cruise director useless’ camp more than ever before I think. I don’t really get into the nightly theme parties but enjoy the glow / white / rave party night. I consider myself an ‘elderraver’ and much to my family’s chagrin I love EDM music and DJs etc. - usually glow and the white party type events are the closest they get to this while keeping a ship full of all ages and demographics happy. We stayed for maybe 20-30 minutes and if I heard the words ‘glow party’ one more time I was going to go take his microphone away and throw it overboard lol. Yes you should hype it up and get it started but at some point we know where we are - just let us enjoy it! My weird rant is over now 🙂
  15. @Sand and Seas Very good tip - I think at that point we were in carb overload and I was just trying to make sure nobody fell asleep and we could make it to the Glow party! Lol. And the soufflé- you may have mentioned that haha. Sorry I didn’t get a pic of one to make you drool!
  16. La Cucina for dinner tonight as you know since we got a last minute reservation. We had two extra dining credits from the balcony/suite add on so we used them plus paid off the menu for the other two. Of our three specialty dining locations this trip it places third. Menu: I was surprised when the server said those on the dining credits could choose any two items from the first page of soup/pasta and any one from page two. Plus dessert of course. I had prepped for one item from the first page so had to make another decision. I ended up with calamari and risotto followed by the Gamberi fra Diavolo. Loved it all. Angie had the calamari plus beef lasagna. Chelsie had calamari and a pepperoni pizza with a fancier name. Josh did NOT eat steak! He had the antipasti and appetizer sized lasagna plus pepperoni pizza with fancy name. Angie and I coordinated our orders to share each main. The lasagna was amazing too but think I preferred mine - the shrimp was spicy so if that’s not your thing, skip it. Usually spicy means less bland but this time it really was spicy. The kids both were disappointed in their pizzas and both Angie and I had a piece and we agree with them. Not up to par. I hated that for them, but luckily both liked their appetizers and there was plenty of food. Pics: calamari antipasti this is the appetizer size lasagne risotto w mushrooms entree size lasagne slightly bigger one of the pizzas - plenty of food but just average shrimp diavolo delish For dessert Angie skipped as nothing she really liked. I had the panna cotta which might be my fave of the week. Josh had tiramisu that he took one bite of and hated so of course I ate the rest and it was fantastic too. Chelsie no surprise asked for chocolate ice cream. Service was terrific and the atmosphere is great but the food just didn’t work for us when compared to the other specialty options. Probably would need a 7-meal package before we would return. But I’d get that panna cotta as a to-go item before bed some night!
  17. @IamPEBJ This is the line at 7:55 to get into Syd Norman’s - it opens at 8:00 tonight. So I guess my answer is ‘really early’ lol
  18. Current position on our way back to NOLA. Navigation channel says it’s 78 degrees, 8 foot seas. We are moving along rapidly right now….
