Formerly, aboard Valor, there was a hole in the wall fried seafoods place upstairs from Rosie's. Few people knew about it at the beginning of the cruise, but by the end, it was slammed. They offered fried seafoods, including oysters. Was that place still operating? Think it was called, Fish and Chips...
Yes it was open when we were on board.

Hi
I am considering both ship to the east for this coming Sept. Cruising with my 82 year old Dad.
The pricing is better on 8 day Valor. Is the Dream that much better an experience with Blue Iguana and Guys?
I am more attracted to Valor due to space ratio and over all reviews. Experienced Carnival cruisers, what do you think?
Valor is getting the 2.0 upgrade in April so it should have Guy's and Blue Iguana at that point.

We did the same cruise - other than being disappointed in food quality in dining room and Amber Cove , it was a great time.
Service was "excellant" from everyone all week long.
What dining room did you eat it. We had ATD and didnt think the food was bad. There were a couple of nights the menu really impress us but we thought overall the food was good.
What did you do in Amber Cove my family really enjoyed it?

We sailed "Valor" about three weeks ago, and had a flat screen in our inside cabin, on deck 1. I think they upgraded the T.V.'s when the original old tube type T.V.'s failed.
We too, had a GREAT time aboard "Valor". No major complaints at all. ;)
"SKY"
We just got off the Valor as well. Sailed 1/16 to 1/23.
We had two inside cabins on deck 1 and one of them had a tube and one of them had a flat.

We had any time dining as well. Never had a wait and was able to sit at the same table with same wait staff all week. First time having ATD and have no complaints about it.

Curious as to what you thought of amber cove? We will be boarding valor in 20 days!!
My family loved it! We didnt do an excursion we stayed at the pool and water slides right at the port. I have three boys 9, 7, and 4 and they had a blast. Drinks were kind of expensive but comparable to the ship. We did the zip lining right at the port and it was fun as well.

Sir--
We are planning our VERY FIRST Carnival cruise in December for a wedding.
The wife and I are thinking about the Cheers package.
I read the program includes up to $10 cocktails.
I usually drink mudslides...any idea how much those are?
Thank you!
-Michael
They are under the $10 mark. Either 8.75 or 7.25

Happy to answer any questions you might have. Just sailed on 1/16 on the Valor using the eastern itinerary.

wasnt to bad when we sailed. The captain did close all outside areas the last night because of thurnderstorms coming off the east coast of Florida they were expecting 60mph winds.
