  1. I have a few questions about spa treatments I was hoping someome would know the answers to!

    1. Does anyone know where I can find the prices from a couples massage on the Escape?

    2. Do you have to have a spa room to book a massage or can anyone book this service.

    3. When do you book massgaes?

    4. Is there anything I should know about a spa treatment a newbie would be clueless about??

  2. You'd have a beach bag or some kind of bag with you right? To carry your stuff? Or a book, a hat? If you go to the pool with absolutely nothing then maybe you can fold your towel in a recognizable way. I would recommend you put something there besides your towel, such as a bottle of water or a drink, as it might look unoccupied (chair reserving situation) and get taken away.

Haha so I am blonde, really! I am so consumed with this and that for this crusie lol that didnt even cross my mind!

So no one brings their own?

  3. So I see alot of packing tips that say dont bring pool towels that they are available at the pool. But....how do you find your chair! I have seen pictures of tons of towls on chairs. If you get in the pool or go to the bar for a few wouldnt it be confusing? (This is my first cruise so it may not be as crazy as it looks in the pics!) But also has anyone ever have someone take their cruise line towel thinking its theirs?

  4. This may seem like a dumb question but being our first cruise I want to make sure I know what to expect! We have the UBP....will we be charged for drinks at Margaritaville since it is an al la carte place? What about O'Sheehans? Anywhere I else I would think I would have to pay for a drink, but will?

  5. We arrived at the port at 9:15 AM before security opened.

I recommend the Latitudes line over CAS for check in.

The two terminals (B and C) merge and board at the same time.

We boarded after Haven and handicapped.

What is the Latitudes line and the CAS line? Do yoy pick which one and how are they different??

  6. The problem is people who go out at 7am, put a towel on a chaise lounge to reserve it and then don't show up to use it until after lunch or later.

No one sits with the chairs at all and many of us believe those towels should be removed if no one is there after thirty minutes. Let someone use the lounges.

I totally agree, however most people dont seem to have common sense anymore. And...I dont want to get hosed and not get a chair becuase I am polite and have manners!! :)

  7. Ok first cruise coming up and I have some questions about pools. They may sound dumb but we have no clue what to expect!

    1. People comment about staking claim on a chair "early" on sea days. What is considered "early"?

    2. Does 1 person sit with the chairs all day then?

    3. If someone doesnt sit with the chairs will someone take them?

Thanks any help and input is greatly appreciated!!

  8. Ours were for the same time, don't worry about it. I don't think the people working the door even read that part. They just compared our names on the E Docs to our passports

If you watched my video I think its really worth it, especially with 2 sea days in a row

Your video looks awesome. I just don't want to get my hopes up and then be disappointed!!

A few more questions. This is our first cruise so I am new to everything.

    1. You said go down 1 flight of stairs. Are they hard to find? Or are they right when you get on?

    2. If we arrive about 845 we wait outside the terminal? If we take a cab will they drop us off where we need to be or will we be lost looking for the right place to get in line?

  9. Vibe sells out quickly. We got off the Escape on Sunday and loved the Vibe, worth every Penny. We were at the port at 8:15AM and were the second couple through the check-in process for a group 1 pass in Terminal B. (The first couple arrived at 7:15AM.) When group 1 was called, everyone that wanted a pass moved to the front of the line. It was a very fast embarkation, not quite running, but close. Terminal C lets their group 2 passes go at the same time and all those that want the Vibe are on a mission. We got to Headliners and they gave out ticket numbers to each person that wanted a pass. We were 42 and 44 out of 75. Within 5 minutes, all numbers were gone.

The first cruisers that have access to passes are the early, priority boarders like those staying in the Haven. Platinums have to go with everyone else.

Here's a few things to know:

    1. You can line up at both doors outside of the terminal. They open at 9AM and they bring you inside in a very orderly manner, creating 3 lines for the 3 scanners. Some people that did not get there until 9AM were front and center in the middle line.

    2. Go directly to check in and after receiving your cards, go upstairs.

    3. They won't let you line up at the ship entry point, because it would block the hallway to the section between the terminals where the early boarders/Haven guests hang out.

    4. When you start to see the early boarders escorted to the ship, start to line up, group 1 will be next.

    5. We boarded around 11:15AM.

    6. After entering the ship, go down 1 flight of stairs to deck 6. Guest services will see you coming. Several crew members were pointing and saying, "Vibe that way to Headliners". They knew what the early boarders with a look of determination on their faces wanted.

Good luck if you go for it. It was the highlight of our trip never having to look for a lounge chair and the service from Ro and Ariel were excellent.

OK another question or two. When we filled out our forms the earliest we could arrive at pier was 9:30-10 am. It says on our edocs that anyone that arrives before their assigned time will be asked to come back at the appropriate time. So are there people with 9 am pier arrival times? Our forms also say boarding starts at 12 noon. Is this later so maybe arrival times to the pier are later? Just trying to get my ducks in a row. Trying to decide if this "race" is worth the aggravation!

  10. I think we are going to try for Vibe passes on our cruise. I have a few questions I was hoping someone will have answers for!

    1. Is there a differences in chances of getting them depending on what terminal you are assigned? We have 9:30-10 arrival time to terminal B.

    2. I have seen numbers are given out at guest services or headliners. Does anyone know which one? I would hate to go to the wrong place and miss out!

    Thanks

  11. Can the grandparents text? I call forward my calls to my daughter, turn off wifi and data, and then the phone is open for text only. Free to recieve, 50 cents to send. Works everytime. I even taught my elderly mom how to text so she can text me daily when I'm away

    Safe sailing[/quote

This is a great idea! Thanks!

  12. Just wondered if anyone knew the balcony size difference? We are currently booked in an angled balcony and thought about seeing if we can upgrade to a mini suite. We are more interested in the "outdoor" space as we dont expect to spend a ton of time in our cabin itself. Any input? Perks of a mini suite I may be overlooking beisdes a few more square feet inside the cabin?

  13. Does anyone know anything about using your cell phone on the Escape? My husband and I are leaving our children with their grandparents when we go on our cruise. We don't expect to call home often but would like to check on them 2 or 3 times. Any advice with at&the service?

  14. Looking for the chance to try stand up paddle boarding. There is an option for this excursion on the Escape in Nassau. However, it has 2 reviews and neither are great. Does anyone have any experience, or have any advise on finding a place to try a sup?

  15. I have seen a few posts that people have called ncl and gotten a better room for cheaper than at their original booking. Is there any tips on doing this? Thinking of trying to surprise my husband with an upgrade for our anniversary cruise if I could pull it off and it didn't cost us the price of another cruise!

Is there a specific number to call? Thanks!

  16. We will be on our first cruise in may. We are considering renting a car out of Miami airport on our disembark day. We aren't in a rush to get off the boat but would also like to use our time wisely before we catch a late flight home. Is there a better time to get off the boat to avoid crowds and long waits?

Anyone know if there is a car rental company that has a shuttle to airport to pick up rental car? What would a shuttle like that cost?

  17. Thinking of renting a car for our post cruise day. We have a late night flight out of FLL. Thought we would do some sight seeing in Miami before heading up to FLL. Does anyone know if any of the rental companies have a shuttle out of Port of Miami to their rental locations? What would the cost be about? Thanks!

  18. We will be taking our 4 year old on the dream in September. She has a gluten allergy. It won't kill her but makes her VERY VERY uncomfortable and I know that it would ruin the trip for everyone if she ate something she was suppose to!

Does anyone have experience with food allergies on the ship. I know Disney World is very accommodating but was worried about being on board. Anyone that can put my mind at ease that it won't be a pain? Or should I prepare myself??
