88 days....!!
-
Man, that sounds like one helluva cruise!!!
-
Nice review, thank you.
I can’t believe they sold booth seating in the sports bar to watch the SB....that’s completely ludicrous!
-
Looking forward to seeing some photos!
-
Good to know. We're sailing in this cabin in December.
-
Thanks so much everyone!
Does anyone recall how much the clamshells cost? And where do I go to rent one? Is there just a staff member on the beach with them and they bring them to your chairs accordingly? My struggle is that I’ll be solo and I don’t want it getting taken over by anyone if I go for lunch or to the washroom.

$39.00. Reserve on board through guest services or Haven concierge. You'll get a ticket, and the beach attendants check them frequently. No tickee, no clamee. We saw several people getting the boot who didn't belong there. Also, you will be on one of the first tenders (if not the first) over since you have a clamshell ticket. It actually is classified an an "excursion".

Excellent walking food tour in Nassau:

That looks like fun. We’re going to try Pearl Island in May.

The MSC apologists are out in full force, I see.
After reading many, many accounts of MSC customer service issues, I can believe they held her luggage hostage. Why was it sent back to the ship? Who knows, you weren't there.
I'm still very much looking forward to my first MSC cruise, but some of you need to dial it back!
-
If they're sanitizing the ship, that'd be the best time to go.
-
There are so many criticisms I want to write about this review.... but I don’t want the warning points.
-
Can I get Spotted Dick aboard Seaside? Asking for a friend.
-
I, for one, am looking forward to a primarily European experience...right down to the Neapolitan pizza.
-
pictures?????
They’re so frugal, they didn’t take any! :D:D:D

Cheesecake pops from Cafe Promenade.
Also, the Promenade in general.
Customer service.
-
My upcoming cruise is still $42/day for the deluxe package. Pretty crappy that it’s not $39 across the board, but that’s how RCI does business.
-
7 nights in MSCs Yacht Club has a $198.00 deposit. Fully refundable.

I'd say it's more like a clinic, where they can treat minor problems like sprained ankles, ear aches... that type of thing, certainly not any type of hospital.
Exactly!
-
It's not a Level 1 Trauma Center, but it is essentially the same as a small community hospital.
Having worked in several “ small community hospitals” as well as US. Navy sick bays, I can say that no, it is not essentially like a small community hospital. It’s like a sick bay. Because it is a sick bay.

FYI - I post this not be flame you or anyone. Just so we maybe aware of why some may travel with a dog or certain breed of dog.
http://www.diabeticalertdogsofamerica.com
We personally know and have cruised with an individual who has diabetes and has a small Pomeranian.
Diabetic Alert Dogs are trained to alert diabetic owners in advance of low (hypoglycemia) or high (hyperglycemia) blood sugar events before they become dangerous. That way their handlers can take steps to return their blood sugar to normal such as using glucose sweets or taking insulin.
If you were to talk about people who have handicap stickers, then I can say we know many who really should be ashamed to have one. That is one area that should be reviewed! JMHO!
Whatever happened to personal responsibility and checking your blood glucose 3 or 4 times a day?

I'm not sure that is an entirely fair analysis. Those canceling do not appear to be doing so based on one review, rather many reviews with common themes.
To some degree you are correct. However, I stand by my assessment.
I was waiting to hear from Jim....This feedback clinches it for me. Jim is a very logical and objective reviewer.... I've followed him on 4 ships...utilizing his tips and recommendations...Never steered me wrong. Worst cruise out of 43??? No thank you. Someone else can have my cabin. I'm out!! -
What amazes me, is, people are cancelling cruises on Seaside because some guy with 43 cruises thinks they should!
Yes, that level of experience is impressive...but, at the end of the day it boils down to one mans opinion.
The lack of critical thinking skills demonstrated on these boards daily is staggering.

This was a FANTASTIC review! I have sailed with Amy before, and I have to say that her DH is more teddy bear than Viking ;p such a lovely family!!
I hope to cross paths soon!
Me too, cheers!

Do you remember if Christian, the bartender at the mojito bar was from Romania? We had a Christian at the Haven bar on our Epic cruise in the Med 2 yrs ago. One of our faves.
I’m pretty sure he was from the Phillipines...
-
Aw, thank you for the kind words, Amy! Maybe someday we’ll cross paths...

Is the "cover charge" in effect aboard Adventure?
