Hello,
My family and I will be sailing on the Celebrity Summit in November over Thanksgiving week. We are celebrating a birthday three days before Thanksgiving, on the first sea day of the cruise and are looking at booking Qsine for that night. I know there are not a lot of seats in Qsine and it will be a formal night, so would it be best to book as soon as possible? I read in some other places that specialty restaurant deals are offered onboard throughout the cruise, but I am concerned that we will not be able to get a table by then.
Thank you!

Hello, we will be sailing on the Freedom of the Seas out of Pan American Pier later this month. Although we have a flight home the same day of disembarkation, we do not need to be at the airport until after 4:00. I was wondering what there is to do for a reasonable price (~$20 pp?). However, we do have a couple of restrictions. One member of our party can walk but cannot walk fast or long distances (mobility issues). We also need to ensure that our bags are safe at all times. Does anybody know of any reasonably priced post cruise tours in San Juan?
If anybody has sailed out of Pan American Pier recently: Have you seen a company called "San Juan Happy Tours" while you were disembarking? I have read about this elsewhere and it is a $20 bus tour with airport drop off which is exactly what we are looking for. However, the last review of the company was posted last year so I am not sure if they are still operating this year. They do not have a website and people said that they just show up at the pier. Please let me know if anyone has seen them this year! Thanks for the help!

Is the Social Ocean app open to everyone even without a medallion? Are you able to message both passengers and people on land using iMessage/Facebook Messenger?
-
Thank you. Which nights were formal?
-
Which days was the crab shack open?
-
Will we be able to message each other and people on land for free using the messaging apps through SocialOcean (Facebook Messenger, iMessage, etc.)?
-
Wait, so they use the lifeboats as tenders?

Hoping this won't affect us... we are in the first cabins of zone two on our deck.
-
They probably stopped giving it now because everyone is calling... we made sure to call as soon as we saw that this happened. Not sure though.
-
They said they are trying it in one cabin block, but now I've been seeing people say they've gotten it all around the ship on at least four different decks now...
-
We haven't received any email yet. We were looking forward to trying the new system. Seems like they are probably sending out a lot of emails. Guess I'll have to check in the morning to see where we stand.
Sigh....

We didn't get an email but we called and asked and when they said no we ended up walking away with $500... I suggest you do the same...

After an hour and eleven minutes on the phone with Princess, we got $400 in onboard credit ($100 pp.) and a 240 minute WiFi package ($99). It seems like they are handing out $100 to anyone who calls and you can get even more if you press harder.
-
Has anyone actually gotten an email saying that they are included? I have not gotten a single email from them yet.
Also, is deck 12 forward actually going to have a medallion or were you just giving a random example?

I was on the Regal transatlantic cruise in September and they are still working on installing wiring for the ocean medallion. There were workmen in the halls every day. My room steward said they were doing last minute installation and checks. He also said he had to go to training meetings almost every day regarding the medallion. He was very excited about it.
Good to know they are getting training already... although the layover day when they activate it will probably be chaotic.
-
They might have just to test it and besides you didn't have a Medallion to check it. :D
I have never been on the ship before... this is something I read.

I'll be on the Regal cruise 11/5 - 11/12. Hoping that they won't be behind schedule and scurrying around during our cruise to get things done at the last minute.
They already installed everything in a dry dock back in April (?) I believe. They just haven't activated it yet. I will be sailing on the first one week cruise on 11/19.

Thanks for those Compasses as we will be on Grandeur for the 12 nt cruise on 10/28.
Do you recall if they had prime rib in the MDR on the first night like they usually did in the past? Trying to scope out whether to book spec. restaurant on Day 1 or not
Thanks again
Not sure... we were in the specialty restaurants the first three nights. The BOGO package is a good deal, so book that if you are going to go the first night.

Do you still have the departure flyer to scan?
No, sorry.

I know I am a little late asking this, (considering that this is 753rd post) but is FLL recovering well from Irma? Any problems with the ports themselves?
-
I also have images of almost everything onboard, just ask.
-
Someone asked me for these on another thread, so I am just posting them here for anyone.
If you need clearer images, specific times, or if you have any other questions just ask me.

Hi -
Did you get a chance to post your Cruise Compasses? Would love to see.
Thanks much!
I will work on doing that tomorrow when I get home.
Royal Princess San Pedro latest arrival time
in Princess Cruises
Posted
What is the latest possible time you could arrive at the pier for a Royal Princess departure in San Pedro at 4PM? We are looking to do something in Los Angeles the morning of our departure and are wondering how much time we could possibly have.
