We are so excited...can hardly wait!

At the Caribou Crossing you can get lunch, and they have a museum and husky village where you can go for a sled ride and see the puppies.

Will be on an Alaskan cruise next month, will be goin to Carcross and can't wait to see Emerald Lake, among other places. Am getting ansy!!
We will be there in two weeks...have the rental car booked...so excited! I have not seen any bad photos of Emerald Lake. I'm really hoping to get to hold some sled puppies at our lunch pit stop too. :)

We are looking to do a whale watch in either Icy Straight or Juneau. Having been to Hawaii and seen humpbacks a few times, I'm also really hoping to see some orcas. Is that more likely in one of the two spots? I know there are no guarantees of wildlife sighting, but anyone have experience with both spots that could weigh in if there is a benefit to one place or the other? We will be there the first week of June if that matters

Trying to isolate some shore excursions and looking at a 2 hour nature tour through a company called Ketchikan Independent Tours...not a ship excursion. Has anyone used them? Worthwhile? The other one is a 2 hour tour of the totem poles...anyone done that?

We will be in Juneau in June with the Radiance of the Seas and I really want to do the blue bus to the glacier, a 2.5 hour whale watch that has a morning or 1pm departure and the Mt. Roberts tramway. Am I crazy or is this doable? We get in at 7am (guessing not much is open quite that early) and leave at 8:30.

Tennessee Rose, just did this a couple weeks ago. There are shuttles on the dock that take you to the end of the dock (just a tip for driver), then there are shuttles into town...$2 per person. The one that let's off right in town is just around the corner from the Avis.
It is a level, but far walk from the ship without any extra transport if you don't walk well. I took it really slow on the way in but took advantage of the shuttle from town to the pier on the way back.
