Cool Cruiser

Cool Cruiser (2/15)

  1. I just can’t wrap my head around it, having done one Ultra and two Premiers. That would be a lot of people who’d in theory be spending a lot of time in the casino all at once. I guess they would stagger the drawings?
  2. Anyone else notice Premier and Ultra offers are available on the same exact sailings? Perplexed. Not sure how they could handle two different sets of people, two sets of drawings, etc, on one sailing. Don’t think I’ve seen this before. I checked three sailings. Premier and Ultra were both available on each.
  3. Carnival said there was a glitch with certain offer codes and they’re working on it. My Ultra offer isn’t there yet either. My daughter’s is. (Hers is better.)
  4. 4/6 Symphony sailing has subbed in Falmouth, Jamaica, for Labadee per today’s email.
  5. Thanks. I am looking to buy the internet for use on just two weekdays. (Two days we’re in port. The third can be my free Diamond day.) Just making sure it’s not like $40 or $50 per day a la carte.
  6. Hi. I’ve typically purchased internet for the week but am wondering if anyone has recently purchased it just for a day or two and what the cost was. Is it correct that I get one free day of internet for being Diamond? Thanks!
  7. I’m booked on the 3/24 sailing and was surprised to receive the email today.
  8. I think nondenominational would work. Thank you both.
  9. Hi. Has anyone been on a recent holiday sailing that would know if Mass/a church service is offered? If you attended, how was it? A friend is considering a family Panama Canal sailing on the Beyond, but her mom always attends a church service for Christmas and not being able to attend some sort of service might be a deal breaker. Thanks!
  10. The Seashore had at least one craps table on my Caribbean sailing this month. Beautiful ship, and we enjoyed Yacht Club.
  11. In Costa Maya you can get a cab to Mahahual. It was $4 one way. (I rode with one other person.) I walked the 30 or so minutes back to the port. Maybe there’s a family deal. The cab dropped us off at one particular spot, with food, beach and lounge chairs, but I’m all about free/cheap. (There’s a big pedestrian walkway that parallels the shore, with lots of little beachside areas with food for sale, chairs for rent - or for use with food/drink purchase, etc.) Toward what I assume is the southern end there is plenty of free beach. You can see the ships and lighthouse from there. Inexpensive massages are also offered at various places on the beach. Water was nice last week, and snorkeling wasn’t bad (and pretty close to shore).
  12. Thanks. Ship looks beautiful. A good time will be had. Can the ship dock in Ocean Cay when the winds are high? Does it depend on the wind direction? We’re supposed to have the overnight there, which was so cool last time with the beach party, lighthouse show, etc., but forecast is 25 mph on Monday and 32 mph on Tuesday. Am really hoping we make it there. Obviously safety first.
  13. Thanks. I’m cruising with my dad (traveled solo last time) and hoping the whole experience is, um, smooth sailing after I went on about how great the Meraviglia YC was. Seashore YC reviews lately have been less than glowing. We’ll have fun no matter what. 😊
  14. I didn’t get one but had read sometimes they send one about preferences and whatnot. Sailing on Seashore on Sunday. Are the emails hit or miss? Also, I received a text that says my check-in time is 11:30 a.m. and I must check in by noon. That’s not a thing, is it? Go to the tent when you arrive? We may be there after noon. Thanks. Have only done YC once, on a short sailing. (No email then, and I checked in early.)
