  1. Has anyone done the Beach Bash Bar Hopping Tour through Shore Excursions? My sisters and I would like to do the Volcano Mud Experience, and then do the Beach Bash Bar Hopping Tour through Shore Excursions. Our problem is that the vendor is only willing to do it at 10:30am. We want to do the Volcano Mud thing first. Our boat gets in at 8:30, and we have until 10pm at night in port, so lots of time.  If anyone has done the tour, could you let me know which bars/beaches you went to? We're debating hiring a taxi and creating our 'own' version?

    Tour Description:

You'll raise your glass again and again as you and your group beach and bar hop around the beautiful island of St. Lucia.

During your 4-hour tour you will be led by a team of the liveliest guides where they will teach you to "lyme like a Lucian" while you visit 4 different and distinct beaches, each one with its own style of music, atmosphere, and local flavor.

As you survey each Lucian party scene, you will get to enjoy complimentary local rums and other yummy drinks from an all-inclusive list during your ride to each beach bar; other premium drinks and food will also be available at the beaches for your individual purchase.

With a party maker, lifeguard and bartender on hand to keep you partying, hydrated and safe, you will finally be able to let your hair down and live it up.

  2. Any recommendations for a guide in Pompeii? We plan on taking the train or a cab to Pompeii, just looking for a guide there. OR, recommendations for a half-day tour that includes transportation from Naples Port to Pompeii and guide? Everything I've found online is Pompeii plus Amalfi, or Pompeii plus Naples, etc. full day tours

  3. Hello, Is there a beach we can get to easily for our port day in Heraklion?  We will be in port from 8am to 6pm and will need a beach day (traveling with teens, and doing Ephesus the day before, and Athens the next day.) They'll kill me if I try to take them to Knossos, lol!

  4. I would book ASAP.  We are booked on the HAL Dec 27 Southern Caribbean.  I've had a horrible time finding excursions - it looks like a lot of providers went under during COVID so there are limited providers overall.  HAL excursions were all full by early Oct (the good ones that is), and both Ship Excursioneer and Shore Excursions canceled many of our booked excursions (3).

  5. Any recommendations for a scuba diving company?  Our 2 tank dive excursion booked through Shoreexcursions.com got canceled.  We're hoping to do some wreck diving, it sounds amazing in Barbados!

We always head to Miguel's hot beach spot for chair and umbrella rentals when in St. Maarten at Great Bay. Does anyone know if he's still there? I sent a note to his email address to reserve but no response. Its been almost 3 years since we've been there. Maybe his contact info has changed? Hopefully he's still there.

Could you post his email address ?

  7. We have 6 days from when our flight lands in Rome until our cruise starts. I'm looking for advice on our itinerary - we have 3 daughters (18, 16 and 14). I'm thinking 4 days of Rome 'touristing' (colosseum, Vatican etc). Our cruise is in July 2023.  Should we stay in Rome the other 2 days and do day trips? (Beach? Tuscany? Florence?) Or do a 2 day getaway somewhere? Cruise does Naples and Venice, so no need to go there. I think our girls will want a museum and monument break between seeing the Rome sights and the cruise starting I'm thinking something "fun". Would love any recommendations!

  8. I'm overwhelmed.  We are booked to go on HA Oosterdam Greek Odyssey cruise next summer (July 26 departure from Rome).  We arrive 5 days before cruise departure.  I'm trying to find an air-conditioned AirBnB or VRBO for the 5 of us.  Please provide be with recommendations on areas to stay and any places you have stayed as a family.   We would need sleeping for 5 - pretty much any combination would work.  Just want to be able to walk to a majority of sights and have great AC!

  9. Sadly, we did cancel our cruise (I'm the OP).  Our 3 kids (16, 15 and 12 years old) were too nervous about going.  They sat us down and had a 'cruise intervention', lol.  Their fear wasn't actually of getting covid, it was more about possibly getting stuck on the ship and/or ports closing so we would end up on the ship the whole time.  We are still going to drive down to Florida to visit our parents, so we still get some sun.  Carnival did give us a full refund (not received yet).

  10. On hold with our TA right now to hopefully book!!!  Cruises follow CDC rules, so we are hoping to re-book our cruise now (price is even cheaper than it was when we originally booked, we want to get in there while the prices are still cheap!!!)
