Hi. Does anyone know if any other Celebrity ships have the Solo Veranda cabin besides The Edge?

Unfortunately that's where the forward lifeboats will be, check the render.
You just broke my husband’s heart. 🤣

Any new rumors about a District Brew House on board? While looking at some of the pictures/videos, I’m seeing something forward that looks like it could be the DBH.

We just booked for my 50th Birthday, Nov. 2022. I will definitely be following this fun thread.

I have been on 3 NCL cruises and absolutely love their pillows. I slept so well on all my cruises. I contacted the NCL Home website and was told this is the pillow I should order. I just got this information yesterday and haven’t ordered it yet.

We are from Arizona as well. We are sailing on the Breakaway for the first time in September. This has been such a fun review to read. Thank you.

Following along, love what I’ve been reading so far.
We will be sailing the Breakaway for the first time in September. We’ve sailed the Escape in 2016 and the inaugural Bliss to Alaska in June 2018. Hubby is a little bummed that there is no District Brew House. Hoping you post the beer menu so we can see if he can get a decent IPA.
Happy Cruising!

So I finally did it. . . . I’m sad to say that I just cancelled our Christmas 2019 sailing on the Encore.
There was a really good chance that my husband would not be able to get Christmas off from work. When we sailed the inaugural Bliss to Alaska, our son was not interested in doing anything and mostly just stayed in the cabin while onboard. Didn't want to spend that kind of money to have him do the same thing again. And to be honest we already did the whole racetrack/laser tag thing and I wasn’t impressed.
My husband and I are celebrating our 20th wedding anniversary in September, so we booked the Breakaway for our anniversary cruise. Never sailed Western Caribbean, so we’re looking forward to the new experiences. Hubby is a little bummed that there’s no District Brew House, hopefully he can find a decent IPA onboard.
For all of you who are looking forward to sailing on the Encore, I hope you have an amazing time. I’m sure I’ll be popping in from time to time to read trip reports and see pictures once she sets sail.
Happy cruising!

Thank you for your review. I think it’s important to read about the good, the bad, and the ugly.
We are sailing on the Breakaway in September (have sailed on the Escape and the Bliss).
Do you happen to have a current picture of the bar menu? Without a District Brew House on board, hubby is wondering if he can get a decent beer.

We were in 8126 in June to Alaska and found the balcony to be very windy on sea days. When we were in port, it was nice, but definitely no cover. Here is a video of my cabin and you can see the balcony.

They opened up the bow on the Bliss when it went through the Panama Canal, so I would assume they’d do the same on the other ships.

I was watching a cruise vlog from the Breakaway when it was brand new. I noticed that there weren’t a lot of places to sit and relax on the Waterfront (like the Escape and Bliss). Does anyone know if that has been corrected since then? I really enjoy spending time on the Waterfront, but sadly it didn’t
look very welcoming in the video.
Thank you.

Bliss and Encore itineraries, at least for now are already set thru April 2020.
We find out this week officially where Joy fits in. They already deleted my Pearl/Alaska Aug 2019 and slotted Joy(no cabin yet).
Did they have solo cabins on the pearl? Were you going to be a solo cabin?

We were in aft balcony cabin 12910 on the inaugural Seattle to Alaska cruise. There was not a lounge chair when we arrived but we did request one. Plenty of room for a lounge chair in addition to the two chairs and table already there.
Here is a link to my full review, but here are some photos specifically of the balcony.
Thank you. We were on the same sailing, we had a large balcony, deck 8. Thinking about an aft balcony next time around and I’m glad to see there is room for a lounge chair.

Question for those who had a non-Haven aft balcony:
Did you have lounge chairs on your balcony? If not, did/could you request them?
Thank you.

Do we know if the Encore is staying in the Caribbean for the summer? I’m seeing travel dates open only until April 2020.

A little video clip of the Silent Disco last night! Everyone wears headphones and you hit a button to change channels to listen to 70’s, 80’s, 90’s or Today. Color of light on headphones lets everyone know what you are listening to.
[emoji23] I was wondering what the Silent Disco would be like. That is too funny [emoji23]
Thank you for sharing the video and for letting us follow along on your fabulous vacation.

I’ve changed into a Mickey Mouse t-shirt because I’m cruise-fat and that’s what Old Navy offered. Returning to Social...
Thank you. I almost forgot that I need to remember to pack appropriate clothes to accommodate “cruise fat.”

True story
Me: I might have figured out what purse I want for Alaska, this woman Sue has it. And it looks really good and I’m going to see if she likes it.
Friend who doesn’t frequent message boards of any kind : Sue who?
Me: Um, well shes engaged to Doug...
Friend : how do you know Doug?
Me: I don’t know him, but ...
Friend: so you know Sue
Me: Not at all. But see Doug has this really great thread going on the CC Message board about the ship I’m going on to Alaska and posted pictures of Sue with this bag that looks really good so...If she likes it.
Friend : so you are going to ask this person you don’t know a question for his fiancée who you also don’t know about this purse and you think he will ask her and she’ll tell him and he’ll tell you?
Me: Umm maybe.
Friend: Why would these people you don’t know want to answer a question from some random person? Why would you bother them on vacation? You know this makes you seem crazy, right?
Me: yeah.

maybe I'm a little too East Coast for cruising, but my first inclination upon learning about this 'leave a towel on it and its yours forever' phenomenon poolside and in lounges is to scoop up said towel/belongings, nicely place it on the floor next to the seat, and take the seat for myself. If someone complained to me about it I would argue that seats are for sitting, not storing belongings, you can tell by the name.
would I get in trouble for this sort of situation-handling on a cruise?
The Jersey Girl in me thinks there is nothing wrong with your idea.
