    English definitely.

    Funny:  On Costa, it drove us crazy… ALL the announcements!

    Once, they made an announcement in Italian and never repeated it in English, so I asked what the announcement was about.  They said, “Oh, if it was important, they would have announced it in English!”

    It was the Capri MDR, Reserve Collection/Club Class entrance on the right side.  No reservations are needed, as @wallyjmentioned.

    You may have ordered twice, the App has shown multiple orders for me and disappeared and then reappeared.

     

    NP. Anyway, take both sets with you to the port, they can tell you which ones are the correct ones. They will take the extras or just give them to GS once OB.

     

    You still go through the green lane!  You should have a special green lane, for those whom are double ready!  😳

    Yes you can bring extra bottles of wine, in addition to the 1 bottle per person allowed.  It is a corkage fee of $20 per bottle. They will put a sticker on the bottles that you’ve paid the corkage fee, and then you may take it to the MDR.  


    Many times they do not charge the corkage fee, if the table is not set up in the terminal when you board.  In that case, drink them in your cabin, or pay the corkage fee when you go into the MDR without a sticker.

    Only problem with that, for us…

    we have long cruises, 51+ days and it is a big difference to pay up front.  Luckily, I booked several of our cruises when the old App was available and showed our Elite status.
     

    Shorter cruises, not as much of an issue, if you want OBC.  JMO

    I don’t blame you about calling.

    You can look on the App, click lower right on your profile picture.  On that pic is a medallion.  It should reflect the right color.  I’m elite, so it should be black with a white sea witch.  
    Also, you should see your 50% discount stated on the internet page, where you would purchase it.

    Is your loyalty status correct in the App?  If not, it will charge you full price, initially.  You can get the 50% discount back as OBC, once OB.

     

    Or, call your TA/CVP or call in to PCL.  Good luck with that call in!

    Or, send a message to Customer relations to correct.


    They have a real problem correcting the App. SMH

    I did screenshot all of our reservations in the old app at least if there’s an issue.

    Not uncommon for them to disappear about 48 hours prior and they may reappear today or tomorrow.  Sometimes they show up on the web version of the App.

    I wouldn’t worry about it.  You can bring this up with the DRO or hostess at the MDR where you booked on the first evening.  Hopefully, they will show it in their system.

    Yes, my platinum insurance covered my hotel 2 nights, meals, uber transportation to hotel and flight change fee.  Trip interruption.

  14. Thank you for posting!  This is so sad that we won’t see them again on our cruises to Hawaii and the South Pacific cruises, but so great for them to retire!

     

    We just loved them and their warm Hawaiian grace.  They taught us so much!

    Try to delete old passport info first.  Log out of App and then log back in.

    Then manually add your new passport info into the App.

    Worked for me.

    I don’t stand in line for a hotel or flight standing idly. 
    I actually, look up protections on the airline App, sometimes they have it already.  If it’s not acceptable or not protected, I stay in the line for help.  Also, look for any available flight to get home.  Although, if it’s weather related, it’s not helpful, as they won’t offline you.  But, I have purchased airline tickets, just to get home, if it’s a refundable type ticket.

     

    I also check a site, like booking.com to see if any hotels are available.  If so, I grab one.

     

    When you do get up to the CS airline agent, you can ask what they can do to help you.

     

    Hopefully, you all have insurance for your cruise, interrupted travel.  Save all receipts, hotel, food, clothes, transportation costs, etc to submit.  Screenshot airline availability on your phone, cancelled and protection flights.

    Wasn’t clear if you were booked with EZ Air (sort of sounds like you were).  I am surprised that they will only reimburse you for air and not a hotel.  Hotel might have fallen under trip interruption.  
     

    Do you have documentation that says no pilot?  I’d write to American.

    Yes, “no pilot” can definitely be weather related.  Because of the weather, the crew can be out of position and unable to get to the next flight.  Their flight could be cancelled inbound, many reasons due to bad weather. Unfortunately.

    Are you off your cruise now?  If you’re still OB, you can’t work on future cruises on the App.  Only on the website.

     

    If you’re home, use the App to make dining reservations.  You click book dining…pull up the MDR you want, look at the date, see top right corner. Person outline with a +.  Click on that and add the other person’s booking number.  Select the person/persons you want to add to your reservation.

     

    App has always been this way, adding their booking number in the dining section.

     

    However, you do not say when you’re traveling or the ship.  They are updating the dining section of the App/website now.  (Except Sun Princess)
    If you’re traveling before Sep 14th, go ahead and try the above.  If you’re traveling later, you’ll need to wait until June 17th to book your dining MDR reservations.  
     

    If you’re booking SD, or in reserve class, those should not be affected be affected by the dates or guidelines above.

     

    However, I have noticed some glitches in these changes on the App.  So, I’m just waiting till June 17th to redo or book my MDR reservations for later this year.  SMH

    They usually say by October.  But, I’ve seen them come out in December and even in January.

     

    Go to the main thread for Value Trips, as someone will post as soon as the reservations open up.  
     

    This is a very small scale operation, so you will need to wait until they’ve arranged prices with the hotel.  

     

    You should book a backup reservation for your dates for 2025.  Because, it is possible your dates may be a blackout date anyway.

    You may hear moving of loungers/chairs late at night or early morning around the pool area.

     

    If you booked with a CVP/TA or PCL call them to see if any thing is available…same category.  It may be possible.  I would look at the deck plans, before you call and see what is available in your category.  However, sometimes they may show more availability than you can see on the website.  So call anyway.
