it will be stocked as usual, and yes, the items are included in the top drinks package
-
if you want to use the waterslides you get a band like the hospital ones which are horrible!
-
Just out of interest, and sorry to hijack your thread Pete! How do you find the wristbands? Personally I can't see that I'd like wearing one - I struggle to keep a watch on for the whole day

Interesting thing is, had an email with an offer from MSC UK to book a cruise for this winter and get free social media internet!
-
Hi all
We're cruising on Fantasia soon. I note that the Social internet package which provided unlimited access to the social networking sites can't be bought online.
Is it available to purchase on the ship?
-
Thanks for the clarification Bea. I must be confusing with RCI that I just booked on which definitely is 18% :)
Yep - would much rather not pay a 15% uplift.
15% doesn't apply to internet

yes they do match up languages, there aren't many tables for two
-
hi, the vouchers are a promotion for american customers, sadly we Brits don't get them.

Isn't the room service breakfast a continental? With only pastries, cereal and yogurt type foods? I can't figure out the attraction to this. Am I missing a perk of a hot breakfast sent by room service?
We like it if we have an early excursion, cup of coffee, some juice and a bit of something to keep us going. The 12 drink vouchers are only applicable for US bookings, in my opinion if the pricing difference between Bella and Fantastica I'd go with a Fantastica balcony, but a Bella balcony over a fantastica o/v
-
personally i'd have gone with the balcony unless you really want room service breakfast every morning

Janny ... It is known as the Crazy world of MSC ... ;p all our previous cruise details have also gone from the website which refuses to accept my other halves log in details!
Dave this is similar to what's happened to us, my other half can't log in but if I go in all I can see all my past bookings but not the future ones!
-
this isn't a customer service channel for MSC, so it's highly unlikely you'll get a response I'm afraid.
-
I'd go with the 6:30 on the basis that you could be delayed, it could take a while to get off the ship etc
-
be aware on this cruise there are no all inclusive packages available. Also Musica is a much smaller older ship compared the Meraviglia.
Personally I love the MSC experience

The itinerary is 3 sea days then pretty port intensive. We can’t book it in the U.K. so need to decide by next week as need to book on board.

If you can get a good deal, go for it. 3 sea days will fly by and there's plenty to do. The only thing I would say though is that deck space for sunbathing could be an issue on those sea days - depends if you're a sun worshipper? Also how much do you pack that needs to be hung up or can it go in a case under the bed - they'd be my main considerations with this one - hope that makes sense

I was hoping to book the 13 night New York to Miami October 2019!
We are still new to cruising will only have done 2 Divina, 1 Seaside and a 5 night California Coastal on NCL Bliss at this point.
We are not yet jaded so don’t know what to do!

Hi Nikki, do what your gut tells you
The reason why I wouldn't do a long cruise on her is that in comparison to the other ships it was always full on, whereas there's always a quiet spot to be had on the others.
For me the cabin felt a bit smaller and lacked the storage compared to Fantasia, of course there are ways around it such as using cases etc perhaps?
The facilities of the ship are fabulous, and it has the wow factor

This is our first MSC cruise and I have a few questions.
1) do they have a coffee card for specialty coffees. And, if so, what exactly is included.
You can get a package of vouchers or an all inclusive drinks package. In my experience all inclusive is great value, as it includes ice cream, tea, coffee, bottles of water, cans of soft drinks plus an amazing selection of cocktails and mixed drinks
2) Do you have to pre reserve shows or can you just show up early to get seats.
Depends on the ship, Meraviglia and Seaview yes, all the others no
3) Since we are sailing in Europe will our onboard account be charged in Euros or US dollars. If Euros does it make sense to prepay gratuities before boarding the ship.
Euros... Re Grats - I don't know about the US but for UK passengers it works out cheaper at £49 per week, which is cheaper than the €10 per day
Thanks for any guidance you can give me.

I enjoyed our Meraviglia cruise, it was different to the others, we did say if we were to cruise on her again it would be for a week, max. It didn't feel as relaxing as our favourite Fantasia although we did like the Teppan Yaki and the Sky Lounge

Hi Janny,
I understand MSC are still updating the website and finalising the itineraries - MSC Preziosa will be homeporting in Southampton
-
In the med? the most widely available is Heineken. If you prefer bottled beers there is a massive selection
-
Hi Suzieanna
The UK offer of free all inclusive drinks is usually with Fantastica cabins
If the all inclusive package applies to your booking it will be the standard all inclusive which includes a selection of spirits (brands such as Smirnoff and Gordon's for example) house wine by the glass and Heineken beer on draft. The usual cost of this package is about £20 per day

I'd love to know what has happened that is so bad it's caused the OP to think like this? I'm somewhat surprised that they've posted the comment without any further info?
-
Yes they are allowed, e-cigarettes should be used outside only or in the venue which allows smoking (casino)
-
Strange, 2019 is available to book on the UK site - I booked a med cruise on Friday. If we change that to southampton departures it doesn't give any options... I quite fancy the fjords at the start of July for my birthday!
Bella balcony, the mini-fridge, and deluxe drink package.

You have to sign a docket to say what you've had, this is then processed and it is netted off against the drinks package to zero - I presume this is for stock control etc.
If you speak to your steward they'll bring you what you really want, we always ask for more gin and tonic!
