  1. Isn't the room service breakfast a continental? With only pastries, cereal and yogurt type foods? I can't figure out the attraction to this. Am I missing a perk of a hot breakfast sent by room service?

We like it if we have an early excursion, cup of coffee, some juice and a bit of something to keep us going. The 12 drink vouchers are only applicable for US bookings, in my opinion if the pricing difference between Bella and Fantastica I'd go with a Fantastica balcony, but a Bella balcony over a fantastica o/v

  2. Janny ... It is known as the Crazy world of MSC ... ;p all our previous cruise details have also gone from the website which refuses to accept my other halves log in details!

Dave this is similar to what's happened to us, my other half can't log in but if I go in all I can see all my past bookings but not the future ones!

  3. The itinerary is 3 sea days then pretty port intensive. We can’t book it in the U.K. so need to decide by next week as need to book on board.

If you can get a good deal, go for it. 3 sea days will fly by and there's plenty to do. The only thing I would say though is that deck space for sunbathing could be an issue on those sea days - depends if you're a sun worshipper? Also how much do you pack that needs to be hung up or can it go in a case under the bed - they'd be my main considerations with this one - hope that makes sense

  4. I was hoping to book the 13 night New York to Miami October 2019!

We are still new to cruising will only have done 2 Divina, 1 Seaside and a 5 night California Coastal on NCL Bliss at this point.

We are not yet jaded so don’t know what to do!

Hi Nikki, do what your gut tells you

The reason why I wouldn't do a long cruise on her is that in comparison to the other ships it was always full on, whereas there's always a quiet spot to be had on the others.

For me the cabin felt a bit smaller and lacked the storage compared to Fantasia, of course there are ways around it such as using cases etc perhaps?

The facilities of the ship are fabulous, and it has the wow factor

  5. This is our first MSC cruise and I have a few questions.

    1) do they have a coffee card for specialty coffees. And, if so, what exactly is included.

You can get a package of vouchers or an all inclusive drinks package. In my experience all inclusive is great value, as it includes ice cream, tea, coffee, bottles of water, cans of soft drinks plus an amazing selection of cocktails and mixed drinks

    2) Do you have to pre reserve shows or can you just show up early to get seats.

Depends on the ship, Meraviglia and Seaview yes, all the others no

    3) Since we are sailing in Europe will our onboard account be charged in Euros or US dollars. If Euros does it make sense to prepay gratuities before boarding the ship.

Euros... Re Grats - I don't know about the US but for UK passengers it works out cheaper at £49 per week, which is cheaper than the €10 per day

Thanks for any guidance you can give me.

Hey, have replied to your questions in the quotes :)

  6. Hi Suzieanna

The UK offer of free all inclusive drinks is usually with Fantastica cabins

If the all inclusive package applies to your booking it will be the standard all inclusive which includes a selection of spirits (brands such as Smirnoff and Gordon's for example) house wine by the glass and Heineken beer on draft. The usual cost of this package is about £20 per day

    Tim
