Very specific question here that I'm hoping a previous cruiser can answer.
We are travelling with a large family and were able to find 4 rooms next to each other in the Family Harbor area at the Aft of the ship. We had initially thought that we'd be able to open our partitions and create a large, combined balcony to share, but were told that this cannot be done on Aft ( floor 2) balconies specifically. I thought this was strange because we've always seen crew members cleaning the balcony decks by opening all the partitions.
The CSR rep told my sister that we can do this on Spa balconies on Deck 12 and 14. We didn't inquire about other decks since there currently aren't that many rooms available close together in other areas of the ship.
Does anyone know which (if any) of the above mentioned balconies (Family Harbor Aft or Spa) can be opened up like we're wanting to do? Thanks so much in advance as we're looking to finalize plans ASAP.

Piggybacking off this thread as we will be turning Gold on our next sailing as well. How do you go about redeeming your member appreciation drink on the last night of the cruise? Is a credit loaded to your card? What drinks can you use it for?

We just started looking at booking Shore excursions for our upcoming trip on the Celebration at the end of Feb 2023. I wasn’t aware that we were able to book with onboard credit prior to sailing, so we’ll be doing that. A couple of questions:
1. If we change our minds and want to cancel and rebook a different excursion, can we do that prior to sailing with no penalties? Do they just gives us the OBC back so we can rebook?
2. Will new excursions for any of the ports of call (San Juan, Amber Cove, St.Thomas) be added or are they all set for 2023? Was hoping we’d see more options for San Juan specifically.

How far in advance can you send your request in?

Count me in as a non-frequent Casino player. I also received some really good casino offers on trips for Feb-March 2022, and we booked one for March. We were last on a cruise in spring of 2019, and spent maybe $100 total between myself and my spouse. All at the slot machines.
A little off topic, but does anyone know how the "Drinks on Us while playing at the Casino" benefit works? So if you are sitting at a slot machine, do they have servers that come around and take your order or can you go up to the casino bar and order? Do you have to spend a min. amount in play?

I bit the bullet and booked for the Celebration for 2023 (a long way off, I know!) since I had a $200 OBC offer. We booked almost dead-center of mid-ship in a "bulge" balcony for what looks to be one of the largest balconies for that category. My question is, with the extra space out there, will there be extra chairs or a lounger, or only the standard 2 chairs and a small table?

I received the cancellation email for October, but my trip is still listed in my “Plan” section on the website when I log in, and still allowing to book excursions for it. Is this just a glitch on their end? Right now it says “Hi SuperCanadian your cruise starts in 54 days”. I don’t need respond to the cancellation email to remove the trip from my account, do I?

If I understand your question correctly, if you rebook now with the Early Saver rate and with the cancellation OBC, you can also take advantage of future price drops, OBC in a special new rate code you price match to, stockholder, OBC, etc.
What you can't do is carry forward the cancellation OBC if the newly rebooked replacement cruise is subsequently cancelled.
Thanks so much for answering. That's exactly what I was asking since Carnival seems to have OBC promotions frequently with new bookings, I was planning on doing an Early saver rate.

Hi Everyone! Just got the notification via email that my Oct. cruise was cancelled. Weighing out the options, and was hoping some of you more experienced cruisers can help, and posting for other less experienced travelers to get some useful info as well.
Leaning towards taking the OBC, but won't be re-booking just yet. Some questions:
1. How long has it been taking to receive a full refund? Or a refund of just the taxes and fees.
2. Should there be more availability of trips posted later in the year? I don't see many Alaska trips or as mentioned on a separate thread, Europe departures.
3. If there are other promos offered on future sailings, like OBC, can you receive it in addition to the $300-$600 OBC credit from this round of cancellations?
4. Are most of you re-booking right away or taking a "wait and see" approach?
Thanks!

Waiting for our Nov booking to Hawaii to be cancelled.
I wonder if they will only cancel one month at a time? Looks like October will be cut any minute now, but for November that might not happen for another month or so? -

My October 12th cruise on the Miracle from San Diego is also no longer bookable. (It was still able to be booked yesterday). It's coming, for sure. Number four this year for me.
did you receive OBC every time they cancelled on you? -
Looks like they may be close to making an announcement. I booked for October just yesterday with my PVP, after searching on both my phone and laptop for sailings all morning to research first, and had no issues.
Editing to clarify: site worked well all day yesterday(Monday). That is definitely not the case today.

What happens if someone previously had their cruise cancelled, received the $600 OBC, rebooked for October and then had their oct. cruise cancelled? Will Carnival then offer an additional $600 credit ($1200 total)?

Does Carnival allow you to bring on screw-top wine bottles on board as part of your 1 bottle allowance? We usually just drink cheaper bottles of wine and want to avoid having to pring on a corkscrew and wine stoppers if we can.

As per John Heald's FB page, cakes will be coming to the Sunshine starting Feb 15th!

Speaking of Sunshine, our next cruise is on her on February 15.
Thanks @PhillyFan33579 ! We’re in the sailing right after you. Enjoy your trip. It will be our first time, and we can’t wait to go!

Going on the Sunshine in February. We’ve never had any luck playing in the casinos on our own, but we’re not exactly big spenders either. We were thinking we’d enter a slot tournament instead. Does Carnival usually hold them? How often? How much do they cost to enter? Tell me all about your experiences with the on-board casinos in general.

Just printed our boarding passes for Liberty out of Port Canaveral Feb 17, 2019 and there is no entry in the Boarding Zone.
Same here for Port Canaveral on the Sunshine, Feb 23, 2019. Blank "Boarding Zone" but in the red area to the right, it says "Final Boarding 3:00PM"

Here is my review. This will probably take a while because I have a ton of pics to download (still) and I'm busy so I may not get to post everyday.
But I'll start with a selfie. This is me! I'm 43. I've recently lost about 110lbs (again). Divorced for about 5 years. Kids are ALL adults and out of the house. I have 3 grandkids. Right now, I'm just enjoying life and wanted to do a solo cruise.
Congrats on the weight loss! You look AWESOME! Thank you so much for writing this review. I hope to travel solo one day as well, and this is so inspiring!

Thanks so much for posting the menus! I'm seeing some stuff on here that I didn't see on other menus or our cruise 2 years ago. Chilled Peach Soup! Fried Chicken! Praline Cake!
I didn't know the Spring Rolls were so good. I will definitely go out of my way to give them a try when we go.

Oh cool! Do they post menus to the App now?

Oops! The title should say "Hours" and I have no idea how to edit it. :D:D
Horizon - Linking Aft Balconies or Other Balconies?
in Carnival Cruise Lines

Thank you so much for those links. 🥰 This was exactly the type of answer I was looking for and will be so insightful when we make our final plans.
In regards to the Deck 2-Aft balconies, this is what is stated.
Balcony features: 2 patio chairs and table / balcony partition does not open
