  1. I didn't realize that I had kept both bookings from last year. We switched to the 3 for Free, kept the same Club Class cabin and saved $340 pp. on the cost alone. But I think it depended on the cruise. Some went up in price. Ours stayed the same.

But the answer to my orginal question is that, yes Club Class was included last year and not this year. Bummer!

  2. I still don't understand how people are shocked by this. When you go to a restaurant with a gift card or a coupon for a free meal, do you not tip your waitstaff?

They're shocked because, for instance on Princess, free is free. No gratuity charge. It's included. I would have been shocked too!

  3. Karen,

I've also found that if you do find a cheaper flight and accept it, you need to check if your seat selections were kept for any leg that did not change. We've changed our flights for our cruise (and thanks again for the cabin!) probably six or seven times. Usually the seats were not kept. And I always go to the airline website to check them.

  4. I'm looking for information on this tour. I originally wanted to go with Patrick's but I'm getting sooooo frustrated with them since they take weeks to get back to you.

I'm a little concerned about Raanui because a few people said they were stood up. Can anyone tell me about their experience? Also, I know they accept cash only but do they accept US dollars? TIA

  5. We like to fly with United and can get seats in the class we've selected via the United website. But until it is ticketed, we can't use miles to upgrade. And if the flights cancel when it's just a reservation, you most likely will need to select new flights at the current costs on the EZ Air site. If it is ticketed and is cancelled, you can deal with the airline directly and I can attest to the fact that United is very amenable to moving you to a flight of your choosing (on their airline of course). YMMV but if I have a super low fare, I will ask that it be ticketed quickly.

Hmm, that's something to think about....

  6. Thanks everyone. I called the credit card company and I have the answer. It will show up as one charge on the credit card statement. But the cruise and the air will be coded differently so the cc company will be able to tell whats what. Then instead of paying off the air part with money, we'll have them use our points.

  7. I guess I didn't explain it well :o. I don't want to book it with points. After I get my credit card bill, I'm able to use my points instead of having to pay the credit card in cash. I just needed to know if the airfare is a separate charge to show the credit card company or if it's lumped all together in my final bill.
