We just got off the Emerald on Tuesday after a 28 day cruise. No, they don't have the new TVs.
-
We leave Tuesday! Hawaii to South Pacific. We're so excited!
-
We've never sailed out of San Pedro. Is there a priority line for Elites? What about an Elite waiting lounge? And are they strict about check in times or are they just "suggestions"? TIA
-
And what about the Platinum/Elite Lounge? I'll be really ticked off if they don't change that to opening at 4:00.
-
My seats have been changed more often than not. The airline changes them when they change the plane. In our case, they usually change to a smaller plane. Ticketing won't help with that.

Are you saying Club Class is not included in the promo at all? Or just in the upgrade part?
Janet
If you book a Club Class cabin today you do get the gratuities paid and onboard credit. You don't get a Club Class cabin for the price of the lowest mini suite. Last year you could.
-
I didn't realize that I had kept both bookings from last year. We switched to the 3 for Free, kept the same Club Class cabin and saved $340 pp. on the cost alone. But I think it depended on the cruise. Some went up in price. Ours stayed the same.
But the answer to my orginal question is that, yes Club Class was included last year and not this year. Bummer!
-
We swear that last year we refared and got our Club Class mini for the same price as a mini suite. We can't do that now. I knew that suites weren't included but I see that it says other Premium and maybe Club Class is Premium?
Did anyone get this promo last year with a Club Class at lowest mini price?

I still don't understand how people are shocked by this. When you go to a restaurant with a gift card or a coupon for a free meal, do you not tip your waitstaff?
They're shocked because, for instance on Princess, free is free. No gratuity charge. It's included. I would have been shocked too!

Karen,
I've also found that if you do find a cheaper flight and accept it, you need to check if your seat selections were kept for any leg that did not change. We've changed our flights for our cruise (and thanks again for the cabin!) probably six or seven times. Usually the seats were not kept. And I always go to the airline website to check them.

I had a wonderful experience with Raanui last year. I did the half day tour and it was one of the highlights of my 17 days in French Polynesia. I wrote a detailed review of my whole trip, but the posts about Raanui begin at post #232 if you want to read it. Just scroll down about half way on this page:

Thank you so much! That was an excellent review.

Has anyone ever done it as an Elite on your balcony? Do they just put it out and leave?
-
I'm looking for information on this tour. I originally wanted to go with Patrick's but I'm getting sooooo frustrated with them since they take weeks to get back to you.
I'm a little concerned about Raanui because a few people said they were stood up. Can anyone tell me about their experience? Also, I know they accept cash only but do they accept US dollars? TIA

We like to fly with United and can get seats in the class we've selected via the United website. But until it is ticketed, we can't use miles to upgrade. And if the flights cancel when it's just a reservation, you most likely will need to select new flights at the current costs on the EZ Air site. If it is ticketed and is cancelled, you can deal with the airline directly and I can attest to the fact that United is very amenable to moving you to a flight of your choosing (on their airline of course). YMMV but if I have a super low fare, I will ask that it be ticketed quickly.
Hmm, that's something to think about....
-
I've read that some people ask to be ticketed their EZ Air at final payment. If you can change your air, and possibly get a cheaper fare, what's the advantage to doing that? I have final payment due next week. TIA

Another tagger on.... We'll be staying at the Hyatt Centric. Are there any places nearby to purchase wine?
-
My husband always gets a red eye or black eye. It should just be one punch for the whole cup of coffee. Not two or three.
-
Thanks everyone. I called the credit card company and I have the answer. It will show up as one charge on the credit card statement. But the cruise and the air will be coded differently so the cc company will be able to tell whats what. Then instead of paying off the air part with money, we'll have them use our points.
-
I guess I didn't explain it well :o. I don't want to book it with points. After I get my credit card bill, I'm able to use my points instead of having to pay the credit card in cash. I just needed to know if the airfare is a separate charge to show the credit card company or if it's lumped all together in my final bill.
-
Does EZ Air show up as a separate charge from your final cruise charge? We've never booked our airfare using EZ Air. We want to be able to use our credit card points to "pay" for it after we return but we need it broken out separately to do that. TIA
-
Yep, have tried a different browser and get the same message. And no, I don't have a log in.
-
Is anyone else having problems with the link? I keep clicking on the link that says to create an online account. Then it says they are having technical issues. It's said that for days.
-
It was available on the Caribbean Princess last month but there was no price advantage. We looked into it thinking that we could use our Elite discount and found out that we couldn't.
-
Yes, yes, yes! It was a wonderful experience!!!

We also just returned from that itinerary on the Emerald. We loved the islands and the ship. The crew were the friendliest we've encountered. You'll love it!
