Cool Cruiser (2/15)

  1. Long time member, hardly post but I have learned a lot from this group. We are 2 couples sailing on the Viva in Feb 2025. Sailed numerous times on the Breakaway Class and always got the Vibe passes. First time on the Viva and we got Vibe cabanas. Any advice on the Vibe for the Viva and what do you get with the cabanas? I see that the Vibe Viva is bigger and may be near the ships buffet Thanks in advance for any info.
  2. Make sure you get there before 9AM so you are in the first boarding group
  3. I was on the Escape last month, before the cruise Vibe was sold out. I kept checking for passes (online and calling NCL) but told presale was sold out and unable to get passes for my wife and myself. On day of embarkation we were in the first boarding group to get on the boat since we had a checkin time of 9:00AM. They started boarding at 10:15AM. Immediately went to Guest Services with no detours, at desk told Vibe was sold out and asked if I could be put on waiting list. That night got the call that there were 2 Vibe passes for us. Therefore you need to get on the ship as early as possible and go right to Guest Services immediately upon embarkation. If so you should be able to get a pass. Good Luck
  4. Cruisinpips I had the same issue regarding the Vibe on the Escape. Here are the facts for us regarding the Vibe. We were on the Escape for the recent Jan 21-28 sailing. We have sailed numerous NCL cruises and always got the Vibe. We booked the Jan 21 sailing the last minute, 3 weeks from the sail date. We were told by NCL sales reps pre Vibe tickets were sold out and that the ship holds Vibe passes for sail on the first day at Guests Service desk. I called every day to check on Vibe tickets and got the same answer. Before we sailed found out the ship was sold out. Posted here on Cruise Critic and was told that Vibe is sold out, we would not get any tickets, and no one knew where we could by them on the ship. Cousin was on the Escape the week before told me and told me to go to Guest Services and try. So we got the 9:00-9:30 checkin for the day of the cruise. Figured we would have to do the old run for the Vibe which we did in the past. Got at the port and was third in line at the terminal. Doors did not open till 1015 and we quickly checked in and got Boarding Pass Number 18 which was the first group to be called. At 1045 they called Haven and they then called our group. We got to Guest Service desk and we were the first ones there. They then told us Vibe sold out. I asked to be put on waiting list and figured this will be our first NCL cruise with no Vibe. Started to use our drink package and made due. At 1030 that night got got call from Guest Service that they had 2 Vibe passes for us and we can pick them up. I immediately ran down, signed and paid for them but had to wait 50 min due to line for Guest Services. Note staff at the Vibe said they only have 80 passes. We did have a great time and met a lot of nice people at the Vibe.
  5. My wife and I will be sailing the end of Jan. We have been on over 6 NCL cruises in the past. But this will be our first since three years due to Covid. I just put in several bids for Haven. For those of you who were recently successful in your bid, when did you find out if you won? Two weeks from sailing date or the day before? Thanks for the help.
  6. Will be on the Escape, our first time. Last minute booking. We got shut out from prebuying Vibe passes so we will have to do it when first boarding, ugh!!! Did searching but could not find answer to this question. Where on the Escape do you purchase the Vibe passes? Is it Guest Services or Headliners? Appreciate any help
