  1. Liberty today has had a schedule change.

Carnival Liberty, Carnival Breeze, Carnival Dream, Carnival Paradise and Carnival Triumph

We have been closely monitoring an area of tropical low pressure that has developed in the western Caribbean. For Carnival Liberty sailing today, we are reversing the sequence of our port visits in order for us to keep a safe distance from the storm.

At this time, no other changes have been made to any other sailings this weekend. We're keeping our fingers crossed the storm will not impact our plans.

However, we know that storms can be very unpredictable. So, to stay up to date on any changes that may affect our departure, port closures, and weather updates, we encourage you to sign up for text alerts by texting the below to CRUISE (278473).

    CCL1 for Carnival Breeze

    CCL2 for Carnival Dream

    CCL3 for Carnival Paradise

    CCL4 for Carnival Triumph

  2. I'll bite.... By doing this, the person listed as 20 would not be able to purchase any alcohol with their sign and sail card throughout the cruise as their card will be flagged as under 21. Not to mention the whole "YOUR GOING TO A FOREIGN COUNTRY AND MUST CLEAR THROUGH IMMIGRATION" issue...

I don't think you understand anything of what I said. After you purchase the cheers program, you would go back into cruise manager and change the dates back to the correct ones.

  3. We will all wait with breathless anticipation to hear if this stunt actually works. Please let us know of any denied boardings. future charges when the dates change back, violations of your contract, and whether or not Carnival actually lets you sail, etc.

    We will be here.

I'm not doing it, everyone in my family are big drinkers. I was just thinking about all the people complaining on here who have no idea how to live or cruise anymore with the all or nothing rule. It seems like an easy work around if someone has tried it. The booking system and fun shop system are two totally different things, they can't charge your card more when you change back and I doubt there's a clause in the ticket contract stating this either.

  4. Thank you all!

I called back and spoke to someone who could do it in 6 minutes.:)

Now I'm trying to see why the onboard booking OBC wouldn't change.

I went from a 5-day cruise ($50 OBC) to an 8-day cruise and still $50 OBC.

I was under the impression that I would get the higher OBC because it's a longer cruise....

That credit needs to be manually applied and adjusted. Are you seeing 50 OBC online or in your cabin report? If online, it takes forever to update and you're better off getting a new email sent with the updated amount, if you are going by your email, you will need to call them back to have them manually adjust to the 8-day rate, the system does not do it automatically.

  5. Forgive me if this is here, I only read 1000 of the 1700 posts and saw nothing.

Has anyone tried going into my cruise manager, and changing the DOBs of guest that do not want it to a year that would make them 20 or younger, then head to the fun shops and purchase just the guests that want, then before the cruise, change the DOBs back.

Any ideas if this will work?

  6. To see if FTTF is available prior to booking if you are sure you want to book that day (if available) pop into a roll call here or post here and I bet someone on the cruise already will be happy to check for you. If you are ready to book chances are they aren't going to instantly vanish, especially if there are several so that would be a fairly safe way to check. Or I bet you could call carnival if you are ready to book and verify it's available and book the cruise and FTTF at the same time.

Can also call customer service and give the the ship name / sail date. They can see the remaining amount right away.

  7. So do you put a free 24 hour hold on it? Because I just looked again and I don't see where to check the availability of how many slots are left by generically picking a cruise and clicking the ports without doing a booking.

That won't work as excursions will not be displayed until the deposit is placed.

  8. Link to the actually policy..please

Get anymore lazy? Let me spell it for you.

Outstanding Warrants / Prior Criminal Convictions

If any guest has outstanding warrants or a prior criminal conviction, he/she may be subject to U.S Cutoms and Border Protection (CBP) interdiction.

    Sexual Offenders

From time to time, Carnival may receive advance notice that a guest is a sexual offender. If you should become aware of this information, please contact Guest Services so they can alert our Security Service department. Sexual offenders are not allowed to sail.

    Guests with Restraining Orders

Restraining orders are issued by a judge and are intended to protect those who fear for their own safety. Essentially, a restraining order prohibits an individual from an action that is likely to cause harm and usually, prevents any contact or communication between two or more people.

If a restraining order is violated, the individual with the order should call the local police department and report the situation upon arrival at the terminal. Law enforcement will make the decision if a restraining order has been violated. Each restraining order is different and until seen by law enforcement it is unknown what type of restrictions were placed by the issuing judge. Depending on the guidance provided by law enforcement, if we feel the situation is going to disrupt other guests’ enjoyment, we reserve the right to deny boarding to all parties involved.

Canadian Regulations – Visitors with Criminal Records

Anyone with a criminal record may be excluded and denied entry into Canada due to heightened security and enforcement. For this reason, more people with past criminal charges or convictions are refused entry into Canada. Almost all convictions (including DUI, DWI, reckless driving, negligent driving, misdemeanor drug possession, all felonies, shoplifting, theft, etc.) make a person inadmissible to Canada, regardless of how long ago they occurred.

It is recommended that persons who have been charged in the past or who have past convictions obtain the necessary documents before attempting to enter Canada. A waiver of exclusion may be issued but several weeks are required and a processing fee must be paid. To learn more about applying for these documents, guests may visit the following website for details: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/visit/faq-inadmissibility.asp; in addition, guests can contact the Canadian Embassy or a Canadian Consulate in the U.S. or use this link for more information: http://www.consular.canada.usembassy.gov/enter_canada.asp

This regulation could impact guests that are visiting Canada on the following itineraries:

•Alaska cruises that visit Victoria, Canada and Vancouver, Canada

•Hawaii cruises that visit Vancouver, Canada

    •New York Canada Cruises

    •New York Foliage cruises

  9. Seven days before the cruise the names are official and can not be changed.

Where in the world did you come up with that?

As long as the first name is TBA, you can change up to the sail date without being charged a fee. It's only when you have an actual name in place and try to change it do they enforce the fees.

  10. I would have settled for any toiletries. We got exactly one bar of soap.

That's all you need if you're not in a suite. I also believe guests will receive one complimentary Keurig pod to compliment the one bottle of water.

  11. I can't believe people are still holding their breaths for this suite perks BS. And now everyone's gonna start waiting for some other crap JH will say several months down the road. Watch it be 'enhanced toiletries'

  12. I always think how I would feel if the shoe is on the other foot. No I would not keep it. They are on their cruise like I am and want to enjoy it like we would. There are clothes and possibly medicine in that luggage. Turn it in to guest services. The way I look at it, I did the right thing by turning into the right people. Now the ball is on their court to do the right thing. do unto others as you would want them to do unto you

And that's why you're advised to put medication or anything important in your carry on.
