  1. Thanks for pointing this out....booking this trip has been a little challenging- I would think that a passenger is a passenger, no matter where they are from- There is only one travel agency in the US that I can book through, and I have not always had consistent info when using others to book my travel. I just want to be sure that I have all my ducks in a row before I put down our deposit (which is higher than any other cruise that we have taken on other lines before).
  2. My son is thinking of joining us on an Aurora sailing next year. He is not sure who/if anyone will be sharing his stateroom. I’m not sure the best way to book his cabin- As a solo, and then add a possible passenger, or cancel/no show his cabin mate if necessary? Any advice on other’s experience? Thanks!
  3. I have not tried calling them directly yet....I appreciate you sharing @Selburne's with me!
  4. Hello! I am looking at booking a cruise sailing out of Southampton (Aurora)...We live in the US- I am not a huge fan of their website, and not super confident in the booking process online... We normally sail on Celebrity, and I'm not familiar with P & O- Calling directly? Website? Travel agent? TIA
  5. Pointers please 🙂 Looking at a Northern Lights cruise March 2025. Due to time constraints, we’d like to do either 6-7 days. Looking at either Hurtigtuten or Havila. Do we go north to south or vise versa? Tips? TIA
  6. We are looking at the "Extend Your Stay" option on one of our sailings....The one that is offered for Retreat guests (we will be on the Silhouette). It looks like you still need to be out of your room by 8:30, but can stay on the ship until 2:00. Can anyone share with me if there is food available anywhere after everyone has disembarked? Thanks
  7. We are docking overnight in August in Pauillac (Celebrity Silhouette). For those that have gone on winery tours, do you have any favorites? I know that Bordeaux is a couple hours from port. TIA
  8. We will be sailing on the Celebrity Silhouette...Docking Aug. 25-26th
  9. Hello to all! We have an overnight port in Copenhagen at the end of August. We are in our early 60's, don't mind some walking, but after too much we have some mobility issues. I am thinking one day we will do Nyhavn and possibly a canal tour. The other day I am thinking Tivoli Gardens. Is a guide needed for Nyhavn? How far from the cruise port (I don't know which dock we will be at...We are on Celebrity, so a larger ship) All suggestions appreciated!
  10. Thank you! Did you purchase your tickets when you got there or before your trip?
  11. Much appreciated! We are sailing B2B, and I really know nothing about most of our ports this trip...It's so fun and helpful to hear about everyone's experiences! Jumping into the planning stages now- Woooo hooo!
  12. Hello! I just came across your thread.... We are sailing Silhouette in August. Can I ask how you arranged the "meet and assist " at the airport? Thanks! I can't wait to read your whole thread!
  13. From other threads in the forum I am trying to get a clear picture on getting from the cruise port (I am thinking it will be Stadsgarden) to the Vasa Museum. Is going by ferry the only way to get there? I am traveling with someone who has mobility issues....If we need to take the ferry, how far is the walk to get there? It looks like there are limited daily tickets sold.....did you purchase your tickets before hand through the Vasa website? TIA
  14. We are going to be docking in Warnemunde on a Sunday in August - We are interested in spending our day in Rostock and Warnemunde....are shops and restaurants open on Sundays? We prefer to go by private car as opposed to train or bus....Is it easy for private transfers to pick up at the dock? Is it an easy walk from Warnemunde to the ship? TIA
  15. Is there an easy way to see what cabins are still available on sailings? I normally just go through the “online “ booking process and see what it shows-Just was wondering if their was a quicker method (besides using a travel agent)……Thanks!
  16. If you go to the Celebrity website and type in Private Journey, it will bring you to the page with phone numbers and email... I believe this is the email -privatejourneys@celebrity.com. After I submitted my requests, it did take a few days to hear back.
  17. It is priced per vehicle. Just tell them what you are looking for and they will make it work for you. Reach out to PJ and see what they can put together for you....It couldn't hurt!
  18. That is exactly how we felt...It was seamless. We were able to choose what time we wanted to leave/depart.....The concierge in Michael's Club walked us out (when they had confirmation the driver was there) and passed us off to the tour guide. There were always two people in the car-one to drive, and the other to guide. No stress, no need to get up super early, and no anxiety with wondering if the tour guide would show up. Have fun on your trip!
  19. I think it will depend on the port and what we want to do...I will probably start with TBL, then see what Viator offers. I have had a few glitches with Viator in the past, so I would be more likely to book with PJ. If cost is not a consideration, then I would use PJ. What I did this trip was see what excursions were offered by both the ship and Viator-Then put together what I wanted to see/do, and sent it to PJ for a quote.
  20. We just returned from our cruise on the Constellation to Italy, Croatia and Montenegro. On our previous cruises we have always used Tours By Locals or Viator. This time, I was having difficulties getting some things scheduled for tours. I submitted what we were looking for to PJ…. They responded relatively quickly and answered all my questions. Were the tours more expensive then TBL or Viator? Yes…. By a good amount. BUT- Everything went smoothly from beginning to end. We met at our given time in Michaels Club where we were escorted off the ship and brought to the tour guide- No stress of wondering if the guide would be where they said they would be, and no worries about getting back to the ship on time. The guides were knowledgeable, engaging, and did everything they could to make sure we had a wonderful day. Just wanted to share our positive experience for any others who may be looking for other options 🙂
  21. Agree…the balconies are deal breakers for us.
  22. First time cruising NCL…. What is the outlet situation in the balcony cabins? Thanks
  23. We are docking in Ravenna....Staying at the St Regis in Venice. It never dawned on me the distance from port to hotel 😞 Any suggestions for things to see along the way?
