  1. They also failed to get my bag to the Luggage Forward people, and my bag is missing.
  2. That’s how we eventually touched base, but connection was bad when she was still on the ship and I was outside.
  3. I posted this on Facebook, but I couldn’t get any advice. I wonder if anyone here can help me. “I just finished the September 11 to September 29 round-trip transatlantic on QM2. About three days before the end of the cruise I tested positive for Covid so I spent about 2 1/2 days in isolation. Since we were due to get off the ship on September 29, I was informed that I would be escorted off with other isolated guests. I notified the person in charge several times that, although I was in a cabin by myself, I was traveling with a friend and wanted to make sure that we were able to meet up after disembarking. And I asked how that could be orchestrated. My disembarkation time was set at 8:30, hers at 10. I was assured something would be worked out. I was escorted out in a wheelchair (I am mobility impaired) and left in a room with one other isolated person on Deck 1 with no further communication about what was to happen next. We were then taken down an uncovered gangway. Although they provided an umbrella I still got pretty wet and it was cold. Well, nobody can control the weather, but I can’t understand why they couldn’t have removed us in some other manner. Now comes the worst part. The crew members who got me off the gangway didn’t have a clue what to do with me, and they ended up parking me in a chair by a wall outside with exiting and entering passengers all around. Remember I’m newly Covid-positive. I kept asking them were they really going to leave me outside, sick, wet, and cold, for two hours (or longer). They told me they had “things to do.” And I’m wondering how I’m going to find my companion in this mob of people. Somebody screwed up. It wasn’t those crew members. I think this is very serious, and it could have been worse. I was able to connect with my friend with the help of a port person. I feel like Cunard wouldn’t care if I sat out there all day. They just wanted a Covid patient off their ship. So I’m asking to whom I direct the letter of complaint I’m writing. I want to make sure this doesn’t happen to anyone else.”
  4. Does the CC serve other, “normal” drinks as well? I prefer something like a simple g and t.
  5. It’s a wonder they didn’t have medical emergencies from the situation. Some people simply can’t stand in line for hours.
  6. I just want to be able to pay my bills and get updates from my Petsitter.
  7. If Cunard didn’t mean for the King’s Court to be used, why would they have it as an option? Gee, there are some snooty people here.
  8. DFW guy, we plan to eat at the buffet most of the time. We cruise a lot and we don’t like the drawn out process of eating in the dining rooms. I don’t cruise for the food or dressing up. Do what you want and don’t let people tell you you’re wrong. (Btw, I’m in Denton).
  9. There’s nothing wrong with King’s Court.
  10. The water package is about $23 for six 1 liter bottles. I can’t remember the brand.
  11. I’m told they don’t offer iced tea anymore.
  12. Remember some ports might require it.
  13. But what about room service lunch or dinner?
  14. Any post I’ve found on this is way out of date! We’re trying to figure out whether to buy the coffee package, so looking to see what one coffee, like a cappuccino or latte, would cost .
  15. We’re flying into LGA and staying in Brooklyn pre-cruise. Both mobility impaired, wondering best transportation: taxi, Uber, car service?

    Hotels in NY

We’ve settled on the NU Hotel in Brooklyn.
  17. The Quercus bar soap showed up on my FB page for $32!
  18. That’s a shame. I’ve been a fan of Penhaligon’s scents for decades and am anxious to try these products.
  19. Do they have conditioner?
  20. Flying in September a day early, staying in Brooklyn for Its proximity to pier. I’m wondering which airport is best in terms of transport to Brooklyn. I’m mobility impaired, so I’ll be taking a taxi/Uber/car service, not a train.

    Pub menu?

OMG. They have ice tea? That’s what I drink all day but didn’t expect it with the British vibe.

What hotels does Cunard use for NY departures?

    Pub menu?

Does anyone have a pub menu? I’ve searched and can’t find one.
  24. Me too! I did five cruises on the P, four TAs and one South America/Antarctica. When Hal sold her I went over to some other cruise lines and didn’t cruise with Hal until just a couple of weeks ago. My favorite spot was the Java Café.
