  1. That was good news about the contract renewal with the Port. It's sad, Baltimore can deliver the people, but with all the tropical destinations being days away, short cruises just don't exist. I too was disappointed at the removal of Key West from the east coast cruises, had it remained, that would probably be the next one scheduled after the 5-night Bermuda one we'll be on in September.

  2. Couldn't agree more, Dulles is your worst option. Depending on traffic, it could be 2 hours from the cruise terminal. As mentioned above, BWI is by far, the best option. With it being a hub for Southwest, they get non-stop flights from almost anywhere Southwest flies. Then you'd be a half hour or less from the terminal depending on the traffic.

  3. As I look at that list, I think "Wow", I remember Casey Pelter from Sovereign in '07 and Simeon from Navigator in '09. Quick question, I remember Simeon's "Wing Man" from Navigator, I remember calling him Cuddy (if memory serves me) - just wondering what ever happened to him? I know my sister just fell in love with him and Simeon.

  4. Yes, Crystal City would be fantastic. Look for places with access to the Metro. They sell all day passes (unlimited rides) for $14.50. Well worth it. This also opens the door to stay in nice areas that have Metro stations like Bethesda, Rockville in MD, or even Tyson's Corner in VA (that last one, a Hyatt I believe, has direct access to the Tyson's station on the Silver Line.

  5. Like ComputerDad, I'm from the Baltimore area (west side) .....2 hours south of Baltimore? That would put you on the south side of DC....perhaps Springfield, VA. The real risk there would be the unpredictable DC traffic. If I may make a suggestion, go for Annapolis or even on the eastern shore around Easton or Cambridge. Beautiful part of MD away from both Metro areas. But if staying on I-95. - Springfield, Dale City -- maybe Fredericksburg, but that's more likely a little more than 2 hours.

  6. I don't know if each individual bus taxes US currency, but the kiosk where you buy the day passes does take USD. The day passes are a very good deal as they cover both buses and ferries.

A Day Pass. I like that a lot. Thank You Very Much. That sounds like the way to go.

  7. My mother always said, the only stupid question is the one you don't ask, so, here goes..... I know Bus #7 is the bus I want to Horseshoe Bay, do they take US Currency? I'm wondering if I need to convert $$ in order to enjoy Bermuda.
