Bill are you going to post any more pictures?

So glad to see my friend, Nonnie, in your picture. She is one of us Arizona Cruisers.

Enjoying your report very much. We lived across the bay for almost 60 years and never took a tour like that in the City. We would go for dinner or a special event and go home after.
We will be doing a similar cruise next October so maybe will do the HoHo bus tour.

I want see that beach ball go into the open flames.
The beach ball is part of the statue on the edge of the pool. Almost all RCL ships have a man & woman statue in swim suite on or near the pool edge.

So far so good for your review. We were on the Jewel from San Juan last year. Wonderful ship.
We have friends on next week and also Ginny for the Panama canal cruise.

Ssislandgirl thank you so much for the entertaining review on London. We will be visiting there for a week next June before a Baltic cruise. Now I need to go back an make notes of what not to miss. Being a quilter I enjoy many kinds of art.

Norine- how much was the massage? and do you know if they do couples massages?
I think the massage was $50-75 but my husband paid for it so not sure. It was really good. They have a 3/4 tent in the trees with 2 massage beds and 2 people.
The lunch was good and so were the included drinks.

We were there in May. There is a beach shack/store that has equipment for rent.
One of our group went snorkeling and said there were a few small fish out by the sea grass. I enjoyed a massage, the swimming pool and the unlimited beverages.
No one in our group went on the snorkel boat.

I want to thank all of you for your input.
I have decided we will book with British Air in the Economy Plus. These seats seem to have enough seat room and leg room and cost less than you cruise cabin. I still have to wait about another month for them to post their full schedule for next June.

Thank you all for the information. I am taking a few weeks off from checking as waiting for schedules for next June to be posted. I am making note of the air lines and seat types to know what I am looking for. I want to find flights that won't cost more than our cruise (book a grand suite).

Thank you Wowzz. I will wait about 3 weeks before I check any more flights. It is very confusing with the plane configuration listing one name for seats and the ticket web site listing another name. I will have to call to understand the differences.
We plan to Fly June 8 to arrive London June 9. We will spend a week in London then board the ship on June 16. We will return to Southampton on June 28 and fly home then. Our return date is not listed yet.

Thanks for the comments so far.
We do not want to fly cheap Economy as the on most planes are only 17-1/2 to 18 inches wide. I prefer a seat that is 19-20 inches. I am not over weight but have arthritis in my hips and don't want to be in pain while flying.
I am using Seat Guru to get details on the various brand and model of planes.
When we flew to Istanbul we went Delta economy with transfer in NY. Their planes have the narrow seats and that is when my arthritis started to flair up.
A lot of the British Air fights are operated by American Airlines and vice versa. I have been researching for several months already. Phoenix has a direct flights daily on BA. If Los Angeles we would have to get there which would be about $300 RT for each of us (2 adults) so that flight would have to be considerably cheaper than the PHX flight.
We are booked on a Baltic cruise but our arrival and departure can be flexible due to hotels.
I will search the CC for the Air Board.
I will contact RCL to see if they have any kind of air program.
I do appreciate all the information.

We will be cruising the Baltic on RCL next June, 2016. I have been looking for air lines, air fare and schedules and the high prices blow me away. The schedules are not out yet for next June.
Can anyone help me with air line information about who flies from US?
What do the various classes of fare mean (confused about various economy & business clsss)?
Trying to budget and still be comfortable on flights to & from.

Bill you have to remember that Sabor is not free. If I remember Rita's was free except for the drinks.
Johnny Rockets is free for breakfast unless you get a milk shake.
I don't remember any restaurant exclusive for sea food. Izumi has sushi or the tepanaki tables with the cooking show. It is really fun if you go with a group you know.

Ginny sorry to see that your review is finished. I enjoyed reliving the 2 weeks on Oasis. I just wish I could have brought home a few of the chefs and room steward.

We will be on the same ship & cruise. The ship has many tours listed.
They do not offer any tours that have everything you want to see. There are several that visit the locks operation to the Gatun lake. There is one that goes to a Embera indian village thru the rain forest and a dug out canoe.
Please join the roll call for this cruise. Someone else may have found private tour operators.

Ginny we at at all the venues you did not. We enjoyed Sabor, Izumi, 150, Giovani's and almost all the ones you ate at. We also had breakfast and dinner a few times in the Suite Lounge, very limited menu but excellent.
As soon as I can figure out how to get my pictures in my new computer I will send them to you to post.
I did the comedy show both weeks as there were different performers, all very good.
It was a wonderful week with all the AZ cruisers and the second week a very relaxing week with Gary & Gail. We took them to dinner at the Suite lounge after the bad service we had in the My Time dinning room. The suite lounge was never crowded like the Diamond lounge. It had a view of the kids pools.
I am glad you finally got a picture of me smiling. I am not always frowning, just usually surprised for a picture.

Ginny I forgot about some things we did (blame it on old age).
We ate breakfast in the Solarium 2 or 3 times. It seemed to be all health foods, even the turkey bacon. We had breakfast in the dining room twice. I remember seeing some chocolate stuff on the menu one day because I had a chocolate shake with my french toast. I usually had an omelet. We ate at the Wipe out cafe a few times. Since we were on Oasis for a B2B we at almost all the venues.
Since DH likes to spend time in the casino we missed a lot of things on the ship with the other AZ cruisers.
I haven't put my pictures in my computer yet. New computer and have to download my camera software. Being retired I have no time limit on doing things so I procrastinate a lot.

All of the secret balconies were changed into suites. The only public balconies are on the upper deck.
We had 11330 for 2 glorious weeks.

Trying to find excursions on St Thomas for snorkeling. We have been to Coki, Sapphire and others. Sapphire was the best 2 years ago.
I looked at the ST Thomas board and found USVI sailing. They go to
Turtle Island (we have been there in the past). I need to contact them to see
if the boat they use has easy entry to the water and boat. I find it easy if it
is a cat. with stairs at the front. If the boat has a side or back ladder I
can't get into or out of the water so I would consider that a waste of my
money.
Anyone have pictures of the snorkeling boats?

the best way to guarantee a cabana is to book and pre-pay. Even if it is not the actual one you want you should be able to change that on boarding day.
Norine
-
Where did you hear the beach is closing?
Norine
-
Ginny since we are with you and paid the premium price already we just want the cabana the suits our needs. I don't think it matters which beach as all the cabanas are for the people that paid and not others that are just on the beach. From reading about the beaches BB doesn't have as many people due to the suite status. Nellies has everyone else from the ship either in a cabana or on the beach.
I just want to be able to get in the water either from shore or stairs, not a ladder.
Norine
-
How can I contact the Concierge for the Oasis?
We have a cabana on Nellie's with another couple but we are in a suite and would like to change to BB.

Found this thread by accident. We will be visiting Hawaii in 2018. We will be in Honolulu port 7:00 am to 11:00 pm on Emerald Princess to Tahiti and her islands.
I want to have lunch in China Town, tour the Palace and do Luau. I have lots of time to research. We might get a rental car or do the HoHo bus. Like I commented lots of time to decide.
