Platinum prospect? We just got our cruise reservations and I noticed that under my husbands name it says client type “Prospect”? We’re both platinum. I know how to fix it I’m just wondering if anybody knows what it means anything? I’ll have to call and wait on hold to have them fix it of course.

I stayed in a CF concierge family inside on the May 11-18 2019 cruise. It's a very nice suite, especially since I was traveling with my dad and a 16 year old boy. There are 3 tv's in the suite, one in each room. The movies that you would pay $9.95 each for are free in the concierge class so I watched several including A Star is Born and Mary Poppins. In the smaller room with the single bed, there is a Pullman bunk bed. And FYI, the bed in the master is not a king but two twins that make a queen. So that bed could be separated into two separated beds if needed.
Our room steward Darwin was great, but I had some issues getting a hold of the concierge.
Sorry about that so everyone knows what I’m referring to apparently it’s a quote on my original post.

Thank you so much! We are traveling with our two adult sons end of May. This is so helpful. I’m thrilled to see these posted!
Great photos... is there a tv in the big bedroom? What about power outlets? Do we need a power strip?

We've always had a great experience at Cagney's on the Pearl and the Jewel--and looking forward to cruising on the Jewel again later this year. What kind of issues have you had at Cagney's and were they recent...?
I use to love Cagney’s so much we would do it three times a cruise. This time the steaks were very tough. The service was slow and robotic. We will try it again in a September because a tough cut of meat happens.

It did not always ding for us. It was about 50% of the time.

We just got off the Breakaway so here’s my two cents... No crew member EXCEPT the bartenders were cranky or rude. The PBP is causing some bars to be slow but not all and I never had a 30 minute wait all cruise. The meals all were efficient and nothing other than teppanyaki (which is meant to take long) was delayed or slow. We went over spring break as well so it was sold out ofcourse.
The only things we didn’t like were some r-rated game shows in the Atruim. There’s no Spinnaker lounge where these were always out of the way on the smaller ships. For the first time in lots of cruises the meat in Cagneys was not yummy at all. Moderno was amazing andI usually find it just so so.
Enjoy..

What was the 3rd offer ?
We’re in a family balcony. I put an offer for a Spa balcony at $150 . So only $100 discount off actual price

I got my denial email also for Breakaway 3-17-2019 at 1:43pm.
I bid $1000 per person for Haven aft from balcony (BA) category.
We got denied 2 of 3 offers and haven’t heard on the other so ....

I still haven’t heard anything. I imagine it’s because I’ll receive a denial email tomorrow or Friday. Any luck for you?
No nothing... I understand what everyone is saying about the cruise appearing sold out. I don’t know if you watched it before than but it literally sold 40 cabins between 10 PM and 8 AM. It’s possible I guess but seemed weird. Guess we will find out soon enough. Safe travels.

I noticed that today on the mini suites, too. I called a while back to possibly just pay for an upgrade and they told me that category was sold out, but did tell me there were a few of those rooms reserved for the bidding process. I’m not sure if that’s correct information or not, though.
Guess we will find out... good luck to you ..

Has anyone heard their upgrade bid was successful/processed on Breakaway, March 17th, 2019?
I have not but I called today to just pay direct to to balcony to mini suite and was told they are sold out? I find this odd since there were 15 plus last night at 10 pm...

So thanks to all. We did exactly the trip I inquired about and it went off without a hitch. The trains all left as expected with the exception of southbound being 11 minutes late.
The Vancouver Pacific Station is theoretically open at 5:00 am but only in so much as you can enter the building. We were not allowed to approach the customs desk for check in until 5:20 am.
Our group found the trip acceptable and we're glad we did it but it did make for a long day. However if your group wanted to try it I would go for it. Thanks again everyone.

We're leaving on the 11th and was wondering if anyone can share the Dailies for the Sun from August? Thank you

Thoughts....
- @x2tpd: When are you planning this trip? I recommend looking up sunrise and sunset times to assess value of window seats vs more time to explore the city.
- I was at the Pacific Central station at 4:50am last Sunday for Greyhound. I'm saw Amtrak staff already at there posts when I arrived. I wonder if things are opening times are different for different days
We are going on September 9th .. thank you for the info

Bring the coffee tea bags!
Thank you

! - bring your own filtered coffee bags - it maybe messy until you fabricate a fix for using in NCLs pot i.e.
the square bag in the round pot container. Will have to figure out if the pot takes a 4 cup serving or just
1. Adjust the bag contents to match the kick you require out of your coffee.
Another rube Goldberg idea take a thermos or similar container and bring coffee back from the buffet
if that taste is what strikes a balance in your jump starting for the day.
Try another idea of filling the thermos the night before and pouring the coffee into the coffee maker
with or without coffee bags to just warm it up a bit - use the coffee in filling the pot container instead
of water.
Experiment around.
I bring my own instant coffee and need only a source of hot water to get my daily fix.
You can also order a Continental Breakfast with coffee without Room Service charge.
You NO LIKE well tell the Captain to turn the ship around and set a heading for Columbia
and take on some coffee cargo from Juan Valdez.
If on the POA while in Kona get some of Hawaii's best Kona Coffee.
Coffee coffee my Kingdom for a cup of Java !
Gad how I need my fix in the AM anyway I can get it !
Heck I know I did not answer your question either but certainly should have enlightened you with Options !
Thanks very much. The buffet coffee is just way too strong for me. I think I'm gonna go with the filtered coffee bags. Lots of helpful ideas in your post 🙂

We were on the Sun this last May, and balcony cabins have a coffee maker (1 cup pr serving) that have packets that are wrapped in foil. I like really strong coffee, and it is almost impossible to get strong coffee out of those machines. But also be aware, the coffee they provide (leaded or unleaded) does not taste very good at all.
Hope this helps! :D
So am I correct in thinking that I could just bring my own coffee grounds and this would work? Or do I need to get those coffee teabags?

Thank you for letting us know about the Pacific Station. That was good information as I called there this morning and was told it would not be open until 6:00 am. I was aware of the one hour prior requirement so I asked about that and was told it doesn't apply to the first train out and that I will be fine. I will get there an hour early now just in case.
We are excited for the train ride and find the 8 hours on the train to be the highlight of the day with the 5 hours in Seattle just thrown in. We could have flown to Seattle for a bit less money but we did not want to have to return to Seattle for departure and using two airports raised our fare overall. We have heard that Vancouver is a wonderful city and we wanted the two extra days there. Thank you so much for all that information.
I also had not thought about the getting there early on the departure to get better seats. We have already purchased business class seats but I do understand that they do not assign seats until we check in. We are a party of 6 so to sit together we probably do need to get there early. Thanks again... Great information!!

I wish we were in a suite. Unfortunately we are in a balcony so just trying to figure out that coffee situation. I have confirmed with reservations that we will have a coffee pot but some other posts say that it is a pod machine and some others a regular pot. But I need to know what kind of coffee. Thank you all for helping,
-
I saw a thread where it was discussed the coffee pot inside the balcony suites. However there was never a definitive answer whether they were using pods or what kind of coffee it was. Can someone who was recently on the Sun please tell me so I can know if we need to bring coffee from home. The ships coffee is too strong for me.
