And there is a very large Italian population in Argentina.
While this may be true, the nationality of the Captain is always specified by the country that he or she is actually from. E.g., I'm sure you've heard the introductions at the Captain's Cocktail Party: "Your hotel manager, So and so, from Norway."
I know from many cruises on Carnival that the introductions are always done the same way with the Italian senior officers (always specified as being from Italy.)

Any Italian captains?
I don't think any RCI captains are Italian but I could be wrong. Mostly Northern European with a few captains from the Americas sprinkled in.

I picked cabin 8662 I was told it's Ok. I wonder if your cabin was near it as this one close to the stair. It is next to a JS so I think it can't be bad.
I was in 9554 so I wasn't in the exact same location, but you're probably right... haha I doubt they'd put a JS in a really bad location. That said, I don't think there are too many bad locations on Oasis. I haven't read many complaints here about noise proofing issues on Oasis/Allure.

I wondered the same thing when looking at Oasis cabins. The thing you don't really appreciate until you get on the ship is how incredibly wide the ship is! It's also really well sound proofed. In reality, the balcony rooms aren't really that close to Dazzles at all because of how wide it is.
Although I didn't take the cabin near Dazzles, I doubt you'll have an issue. I did have a cabin by the stairs / elevators on the other end and was very pleased with that decision. It's a very long ship with a long walk between elevator banks, I really enjoyed being so close to one.

Next time you update....
EN Enchantment of the Seas - Charmaine Femandas (Reyno on vacation until January 16, 2012)
That would thus mean she's no longer the Diamond Concierge on Oasis, just for purposes of accuracy!
(...and honestly, good riddance. I was hoping for someone a little friendlier on Oasis in May!)

I'm 25 and I have a really REALLY hard time using the Diamond C&A coupons. I can't imagine the reactions the 8 year old gets, walking into Johnny Rockets with a Diamond + coupon.
Have they really given you a hard time about it?? I'm only a year older than you (and perhaps look a few years younger than I am) and have never had an issue handing over my D coupons.
Edit: I guess the only issue I have had was the nasty D concierge on Oasis who was never friendly to me... but I can't imagine being denied a D perk just because one looks young.

I actually know of an 11 year old has nearly achieved pinnacle status on his own. Scary thought.
WOW!!! :D
Lucky kid. I thought I had it good becoming Diamond at age 21... okay, perhaps I do have it good. :p

Anybody else on the computers for internet access? I can't imagine they only have those 4 or so available in the library...

Great pics, thanks!

Hernan Zini's been "supervising" the latter phases of construction as he did with Liberty... so I'd assume he'll be taking the ship out initially.

Very interesting, Carnival and RCI have entirely different codes.
Current Concierges continued

Sounds like a reasonable interpretation to me. She was D concierge on Oasis before performing the vacation replacement on Enchantment.
